**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

1. Navigation from project to project and within a project is fast and efficient.  |  2. Document control especially within "Plans" is flexible to your needs. This feature is huge!  |  3. Writing and managing submittals, RFI's, specialty forms like Work Orders and Cut-lists is another big piece that I use every day.  |  4. I work in this program every day all day. It is fast, flexible and full of features and functions that support my work as a construction subcontractor.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

1. Some of the features like submittals can be unforgiving when using. It took me quite a while to feel comfortable with this feature. I use it all the time now though.  |  2. I have had to learn a lot on the fly. What little training I did get was awesome! It would be nice if the program were a little more intuitive or transparent in terms of understanding how it being used and recommending better use or efficient options.

**What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Going Paperless - If going paperless is a goal, Fieldwire is an excellent platform aimed at helping to achieve that goal. There will always be paper to some extent and I have come to accept that. But Fieldwire has allowed me to not only to see what paperless can look like, but helped me begin to realize my goal.  |  Lugging clumsy oversized plans to the jobsite on now on my IPad and synced with my work station at the office.  Digital document control is  a huge feature. Information is much easier to track and to find within the software than searching through plan drawers and file cabs.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I like the form function in Fieldwire by Hilti. It's easily populated through jobs once it's on the template. It allows us to easily see who did what floor, what the site conditions were at the time. I find it quite valuable for retroactive analysis and holding our staff accountable as they are signing off on their work.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I do not like the sheet viewer for our in-house drawings and larger scaled projects. The viewer seems to be of lower quality compared to other ones like ACC Forma. It's better at times to just mark up a drawing on Bluebeam and re-upload it so that markups look nicer. Also, overall a downgrade in quality of model viewing and revision workflows.

Fieldwire by Hilti lets us upload internal drawings and submit surveyor logs, centralizes access for the site team, and enhances accountability with retroactive analysis through form functions.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

What I like most about Fieldwire by Hilti is that it keeps all project information in one place and makes communication between the field and the office much more efficient. Being able to access plans, track tasks, add photos, and update progress in real time helps reduce errors and saves time that would otherwise be spent on coordination. It’s especially helpful for keeping everyone on the same page, staying aligned day to day, and maintaining clear, consistent documentation on site.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

One drawback of Fieldwire by Hilti is that it can feel a bit limited when handling more complex project tracking or reporting needs. Sometimes the interface can be slightly slow or less intuitive, especially when managing a large number of tasks or sheets.

Additionally, when I exit a plan and return to it, it resets back to the top of the sheet, so I have to scroll all the way back to where I was working. This can be time-consuming, especially on large plans.

Also, customization options for reports and workflows could be more flexible to better match specific project requirements.

Fieldwire by Hilti solves the problem of scattered project information and poor communication between the field and office. It centralizes plans, tasks, photos, and reports in one platform, which reduces miscommunication and ensures everyone is working with the most up-to-date information.

For me, this is beneficial because it improves coordination on site, saves time in tracking work progress, and provides clear documentation for inspections and reporting. It also helps with accountability, since tasks and updates are assigned and tracked in real time, making it easier to manage crews and stay organized.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

We love that everyone who uses it can be anywhere at anytime. Our project managers have the ability to get real time updates on where there project is at all times. We also love the completed reports that are sent to our customers which is a nice way to wrap up the project.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

While some might not consider it a downside, being 100% paperless is not totally ideal for us. Order confirmations are uploaded but when we check in our actual product it is nice to have the order confirmation printed so we can check off that each item on it is in fact correct and has been received. It is also tedious to jump from the order confirmation and estimate when we bill unlike a printed job file that would contain everything in it for me to look at side by side.

Being able for everyone to access all our projects on one platform from anywhere at anytime.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I like the adaptability to use my own forms within the software. I do a ton of quality control checks - so the ability to upload simple checkbox PDFs as a template and create form per suite is vital. The task function has also proven its worth ten-fold. When you're trying to keep trades in the know about deficiencies or next steps for work needing to be done, creating a task, pinning it on the drawings and then sending out a report to that trade specifically is very efficient. Support staff who work with Fieldwire have been helpful whenever I have had any questions or issues. Overall the performance of the software has been awesome.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I do wish there were capabilities to have outside users or those who don't have a Fieldwire license to be integrated into the projects and be able to view everything associated. I know AutoDesk has their own software.. but buy-in to have Revit model viewers or other integrations for CAD would be awesome.

**What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software solves the issue that can happen sometimes of old drawing sets being used by some trades while others are on the newest set. From an office perspective, the ability to upload a new drawing set and have the AI within the software automatically detect the drawing page number, drawing title, and then notify you if that page already exists so you can add a revision is very helpful.

Easy to learn and implement, my staff in the field become proficient quickly.  It is also very quick and easy to upload new revisions to ensure everyone has the most up to date documents.  Both my superintendents and office staff use the app on phone/iPad constantly walking the site with subs, architects, inspectors, or owners.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I don't feel like the tasks feature is very user friendly and have not found it very applicable, I have tried using it on various projects and don't find it very helpful.  It is also a little difficult/cumbersome to share documents with subcontractors.  It would also be helpful to have a submittal/shop drawing feature so shop drawings could be viewed similar to plans.

**What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having old or outdated documents in the field, which has always been a major issue.  Being able to easily upload revisions ensures my guys always have the most current documents, and it's very helpful being able to review and compare past versions.

I like that Fieldwire by Hilti is simple to use, which makes managing installation projects easier. It enables us to connect the office and site team without paperwork and easily track statuses and progress on site for specific tasks. I also like the ability to archive information and have full audit trails. The mobile app works well, and I find that task statuses and reports are particularly useful features.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

We’d like templates for tasks that users could populate when surveying. More control over scheduled reports. Also, the ability for others in the team to get access at a different level and lower cost. Currently, we have people who would interact with the app minimally, so it doesn’t make sense to pay a full license, but they would benefit if they could at a lower rate.

I like the way Fieldwire by Hilti lets us add and customize forms for safety checks, which we can then access easily on-site through our phones. This feature is really handy for our daily safety checks, like assessing scaffolds. We just need to create the project and preload the form, and with a click of a button, the form is ready to use, complete with a checklist to ensure nothing gets missed. It’s great that these reports can be shared with others in the company for review. It’s really useful and serves its purpose well.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

The biggest challenge with Fieldwire by Hilti is dealing with the task management. It's kind of tedious and takes a lot of time. When you're on-site, especially on the roof where it's hot, it's easy to overlook tasks or do something incorrectly. This can lead to reports that don't make sense to folks back in the office.

I like that Fieldwire by Hilti allows our whole crew to work on it, and I can easily check the tasks view on the plans to see what still needs to be done. It helps keep each person accountable for their work and allows us to be a more cohesive team because everyone can see what needs to be done.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

Sometimes the UI can be confusing. Also for me the auto delete photos from my camera roll feature hasn’t been working. With the UI I wish that it was more intuitive. I had to have someone show me where things are for almost anything. A bookmark or favorites button would be awesome too for seeing the plans you are currently using and not having to see the ones that don’t apply to you.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

When conducting site surveys, having all of the drawings within one app and being able to add photos and measurements to the drawings. Then being able to use the tasks to track the progress of an install is a massive help. The forms feature is also hugely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

Taking photos didn't use to be great, but since the latest update this has improved massively. Occasionally there are issues with mark ups that have been made on drawings and images dissapearing between leaving site and getting back to the office. Forms are always labelled as 'Form Name' #1 etc., even after you have deleted a form. It may be user error but once a form has been created, the you cannot alter the format even if the template has been edited.

**What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to using Fieldwire, we had no way of monitoring and submitting all of our day-to-day forms under one platform in a consistent format, or tracking the progress of installs from our first day on site to completion. We can now submit professional looking forms to all of our clients.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

The easy way to make punch lists. It's incredible. It's easy to use and intuitive. I have a co-worker that isn't great with computers and they picked up on it. I've emailed a few things - this seems to be confusing and doesn't work the greatest. Never had anything stop working.  I do not integrate it with anything, and the pricing is meh.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

The pricing surprise was difficult. I'd like a user on my team to be able to use the features, but I would like to keep the advanced features. I guess everyone on the team needs to have the full featured item. It's difficult to get vendors or other team members on board with it. I don't like how you cannot undo a markup - basically have to start over (from what I found) when marking up a photo. The email is cumbersome. In a perfect world, I'd be able to email an item to a vendor, and they could comment on it and it would come back to me and in the timeline of events.

Organizing my punch lists when I do walk throughs. It's a life saver. The photo evidence and timelining is amazing.

I like Fieldwire by Hilti for its ease of use, which is evident with the good apps available on Android for both tablets and phones, allowing me to modify plans and add markups reasonably well. I also appreciate the two-way backup of all files with the OneDrive integration, which ensures that all changes and generated forms are backed up and can be shared externally from Fieldwire.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

It would be nice to add multiple locations to a single task rather than needing multiple tasks if there are multiple locations a task must be performed. It would also be nice to have a limited interaction with users of different subscription levels, like having one main user with a business account and another with a free account if all they need is to view a plan administrated via a user with a business account.

Fieldwire by Hilti centralizes plans, allows for as-built markups, and clear process tracking. Its ease of use and OneDrive integration facilitate backing up and sharing forms, with good apps on Android for tablets and phones.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I love that Fieldwire by Hilti is very easy to use. It's intuitive and has all the tools I need to do markups of blueprints and plans, and I can incorporate all different file types that I use. I can organize it any way I want. I heavily use the tasks feature, adding photos, technical diagrams, and my thoughts. I also really like the ability to export all the collected information as a nice summary document. Plus, I can change logos to my own company's logo and turn it into my own white-labeled form. It's a great way to knowledge share and keeps everything organized exactly how I want it. This provides all the info that I feel my end users or my engineers or estimators will need, which mainly saves me a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I would appreciate the ability to format the exports more rather than relying on the one or two canned formats that we can export. I understand that that's probably not the hugest deal, but it would add a touch of polish to where I could even more easily put it in front of an end user if I could actually control the way it exports, meaning format it the way I want it formatted.

I like how Fieldwire by Hilti makes it easy to record dimensions on plans, especially with the use of the text box and different colors on my iPad, which is easier and more legible than writing with a stylus. I also appreciate how seamless the interface is for recording field dimensions and quickly sending them to my designer to update our plans. Additionally, it's handy that I can capture pictures right there on the plans. The fact that Fieldwire by Hilti is easier than other solutions like PDF Expert made the switch worthwhile. The app was easy to install and get going, which is great.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

The details panel is a bit cluttered. I would also like to see a multiple copy feature versus one copy at a time. If you could make it easier to add team members to projects, that would be good. Like have that feature in each project versus having to go to the main menu and click on team members.

**What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fieldwire by Hilti provides a seamless interface for recording field dimensions, allowing immediate updates to plans. It's easy to record dimensions using text boxes and colors, which is more legible than a stylus. I also like capturing pictures on the plans.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I find Fieldwire by Hilti incredibly valuable for its drawing management and auto hyperlinks. Our foremen don't use printed sets anymore because of how efficient it is to update Fieldwire.  Drawing revisions & JD drawings can easily be uploaded instead of bringing paper copies to the site. The auto hyperlinks make moving through the drawing set a breeze.  They allow our team to quickly and efficiently browse through sheets & details. Also, the forms section has greatly improved our T&M tracking, completely solving the issue of lost or damaged paper tickets and streamlining the process. I appreciate being able to log in at any time to see how many open items there are and help close out the completed ones. Additionally, the initial setup of Fieldwire was seamless for our team.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I still cannot figure out how to achieve Docusign integration for sending T&M tickets out for signature. Customer support is lacking since it's an email-only platform, and when someone finally responds, it's around 5 or 6 pm our time, outside of normal operating hours.

**What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fieldwire by Hilti provides real-time communication between office and field, improves drawing management and navigation through auto hyperlinks, and replaces inefficient paper tracking with streamlined T&M forms.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I use Fieldwire by Hilti to manage our Architectural Projects, and it does an amazing job at handling projects with many sheets. I don't have to worry about accidentally grabbing an outdated sheet, as I can look back at the history to track change orders. I also use it to track open items on projects and have had great success managing the ever-changing nature of some of them. I really like the quick and intuitive user interface that lets me bounce from drawing set to drawing set. It eliminates the clumsy document management of the past, allowing me to get to exactly the drawing I need quickly. Never being without the architectural drawing set, even when a client surprise calls me, is a big relief.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

The uploading procedure for drawings is a little clumsy. Sometimes I want to separate different editions of the same drawings into different folders, but Fieldwire forces all sheets with the same number to be the same. Managing shop-drawings or submittals is clumsy because not all sheets have numbers, or not all sheets have different sheet numbers. I'd like it if, when I uploaded a drawing into a project folder, all sheets would automatically land in that one folder and not necessarily be automatically moved. It would also be nice if Fieldwire could mesh with other software solutions we use.

**What problems is Fieldwire by Hilti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

We use Fieldwire to manage projects and collect information from our contractors and customers. The UI is mostly straightforward to use and the mobile app makes it easy to request documentation from customers and for our installers to document the install process. We have integrated the fieldwire forms into our quoting processes which has greatly sped up and improved the flow for quoting customers and receiving quotes from contractors. Reliability for the most part has been good, there have been occasional slowdowns but nothing that has been debilitating and they have not been a common occurrence. Support has been great to work with when we have had issues or questions and were quick to respond and solve issues. The ability to connect our customers, contractors and project managers alone has given us an immediate payback and return on our investment for Fieldwire. The reports that can be generated have given us nice audit trails and are appreciated by our customers. The ai photo tagging is hit or miss especially with how our drawings vary customer to customer. Sometimes it pulls in the right information sometimes it just grabs a random corner of the plan.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

The main dislikes have been around the occasional outage, while not debilitating they are annoying. The ai floorplan reader is hit or miss. Copy and paste doesn't work as well as it should. The task attributes, while nice, are a little annoying to access on mobile where most of our contractors work so we can’t utilize them as well as we would like.

Fieldwire is solving the link between our Project Managers, the customer and the installers/contractors. Fieldwire allows our PM’s who are remote to monitor projects to maintain quality while being able to interact with the install teams through comments and tasks. Being able to document installs or issues with pictures and being able to gather information from the customer without having to send someone on site is a huge plus. Install reports allows us to provide detailed information to our customers and maintain an internal paper trail.

I appreciate the ease of importing photos from our computer to the camera hyperlink compared to Plangrid. I also like that we can add 360 images and view them directly in a 360 view on Fieldwire, making it easier without needing another program.

One thing to be improved would be the export plan feature. When exporting plans, the hyperlink cameras only allow for one image within the hyperlink to appear when in fact the hyperlink can contain more than one image. Loading plans into Fieldwire does take a while.

The most effective feature of Fieldwire is just the plan management.  Being able to access the most current documents on my phone is a must and it’s easy with Fieldwire.

The most frustrating thing about Fieldwire is that if someone on my team adds an outside user, using the good-sense logic that it would be helpful for their trade contractors to have access to the plans, it automatically begins charging our account for a new user, without any kind of notice to the employee who added the new user.  My field guys don’t know who has accounts and who doesn’t, so if they try to add someone who doesn’t have an account, it would be really nice if Fieldwire would give them a confirmation notice that says tells them that we will be charged if they add that user.

The markups allow my team to stay on the same page, although the markups are a little bit clunky and harder to use than Procore.   We also love the tasks.

I love the capacity calculator that automatically points out utilization. The report tool is helpful for backchecking, and the very user-friendly and intuitive interface makes my design process easier. The integration of CSA and ANSI checks cuts down on hand calculations on my end, and the instant feedback allows me to tweak my design in real-time. The initial setup of PROFIS by Hilti was very easy.

I think a little more on some tutorials would be helpful, especially for temporary structure design. Specifically, a step-by-step guide in anchor checks and calculations. Also, it would be helpful if we could CAD export the detail when we are done designing.

**What do you like best about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I love the task option in Fieldwire by Hilti. We assign hundreds of tasks for every job, and it's great for management to know when a task is completed. As a low voltage company, we use it to track every step of installations, like keypads, from prewire to trim to completion. The setup was fairly easy, especially after the multiple trainings they offered, which helped us get it working great.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

I would like the option to create my own toolkit or add more symbols that I can choose.

Fieldwire by Hilti allows us to make live edits to plans on-site and order parts as needed. We love the task option for assigning and tracking hundreds of tasks, helping us manage every step of our projects effectively.

I like the embedded pictures on the plans in Fieldwire by Hilti, as they help me keep a visual record of who did what, when, and where, which is really useful for managing construction on a college. I also found the initial setup of Fieldwire by Hilti to be easy, and I'm really satisfied with it as I rated it a 10 out of 10 for recommending to a friend or colleague.

Contractors is way more efficient. Plus the time and material tickets are solved by the contractor having access and all electronic.

The only thing that comes to mind is having to manually check all new drawing revisions to confirm it supersedes the right sheet.

Allowing my subs to have access to the latest and greatest plans. Allowing subs to see where RFI's are impacting work. Give subs a platform where they can access everything necessary for field work.

I love how easy and intuitive it is to upload drawings in Fieldwire by Hilti. The recent improvements to drawing title and sheet number identification are fantastic. Being able to quickly identify a drawing through the naming, numbering, and thumbnail images is great. The initial setup was easy and the integration was pretty seamless, even when just looking at drawings at the beginning.

It would be helpful if we were able to give owners or subcontractors access without having to get a license for them.

I find Fieldwire by Hilti extremely useful for keeping everything centralized during my site surveys, from photos to notes and punch list items. I really like how easy it is to upload and mark up floor plans. The initial setup was also very easy and straightforward for me and my team.

**What do you dislike about Fieldwire by Hilti?**

Printing out reports and not being able to reorder the tasks. On a floor plan, I would like it to print out the tasks in order. It usually prints them out randomly.

Report creation is limited in how report is displayed. Inability to easily share limited access to subcontractors outside of our organization.
