**What do you like best about Fieldsignal?**

We paid per project, no retainer or minimum. The person handling our account was senior and clearly understood the brief, so the shortlist was relevant on the first pass instead of after three rounds of back and forth. Getting transcripts plus a short written summary after each call meant we could share findings internally without extra work.

**What do you dislike about Fieldsignal?**

One of the profiles we needed was quite niche and they had to recruit for it, which pushed that call past their usual turnaround. If your timeline is rigid, flag it upfront. They're also a younger firm, so if you need very high call volumes every month, a retainer-based network might still make sense.

**Recommendations to others considering Fieldsignal:**

Scope your question tightly before the kickoff call. The quality of the expert shortlist tracks directly with how specific you are. Well suited to startups and SMEs doing occasional validation or due diligence work.

**What problems is Fieldsignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a small fintech and needed first-hand input from people who actually operate in the space we were evaluating, not another analyst report. Hiring a traditional expert network wasn't realistic at our size. FieldSignal scoped our question, sent over a shortlist of candidates, and we did one call over about two weeks. The conversations changed how we prioritized the initiative, we caught an assumption early that would have cost us months.
