FastRouter.ai Reviews & Product Details

FastRouter is an OpenAI-compatible LLM gateway and LLMOps platform for teams running AI in production. One API gives you access to 200+ models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, xAI, Meta, MoonshotAI, MiniMax and more, with routing, failover, cost control, observability and governance built in. Zero markup on tokens. The Challenge Running several models and providers means separate integrations, unpredictable costs, outages when a provider rate-limits or goes down, and little visibility into who is spending what. The Solution Point your existing OpenAI SDK at FastRouter by changing the base URL and API key. Bring your own provider keys (BYOK) or use FastRouter credits. FastRouter also supports the Anthropic Messages and Gemini Interactions API formats. Key Capabilities Routing and reliability: Automatic model selection, provider routing strategies (lowest price, lowest latency, priority order and more), fallback chains, and virtual model aliases that let you swap models without changing application code. Cost optimization: Insights runs a weekly analysis of your own traffic and recommends savings from caching, Flex tier pricing and model switches, each with projected savings and supporting evidence. Also includes response caching, prompt caching, prompt compression, Flex and Batch processing. Evaluations and prompt management: Benchmark and compare models on your own data with LLM-as-a-judge scoring for text, image and video, version and optimize prompts, and compare results side by side before going to production. Observability: Request tracing with latency, token usage, cost and payloads, custom alerts on spend, usage, latency and error rate, dynamic tags for cost attribution, and log streaming to your own destinations. Governance and security: Role-based access control, projects with scoped keys and budgets, provisioning keys, guardrails for PII, topic adherence, toxicity and regex patterns, an MCP gateway with vaulted credentials, and routing to zero-data-retention providers. Self-hosting is available on the Enterprise plan. Pricing A free Starter plan, with paid plans from $199 a month and custom Enterprise pricing. Token costs are passed through at provider rates with zero markup, with BYOK or credits. Built For AI engineering teams, ML platform leaders and technical decision-makers who need provider flexibility, cost visibility and operational control for production LLM workloads, without lock-in.
