Key Capabilities Routing and reliability: Automatic model selection, provider routing strategies (lowest price, lowest latency, priority order and more), fallback chains, and virtual model aliases that let you swap models without changing application code. Cost optimization: Insights runs a weekly analysis of your own traffic and recommends savings from caching, Flex tier pricing and model switches, each with projected savings and supporting evidence. Also includes response caching, prompt caching, prompt compression, Flex and Batch processing. Evaluations and prompt management: Benchmark and compare models on your own data with LLM-as-a-judge scoring for text, image and video, version and optimize prompts, and compare results side by side before going to production. Observability: Request tracing with latency, token usage, cost and payloads, custom alerts on spend, usage, latency and error rate, dynamic tags for cost attribution, and log streaming to your own destinations. Governance and security: Role-based access control, projects with scoped keys and budgets, provisioning keys, guardrails for PII, topic adherence, toxicity and regex patterns, an MCP gateway with vaulted credentials, and routing to zero-data-retention providers. Self-hosting is available on the Enterprise plan. Pricing A free Starter plan, with paid plans from $199 a month and custom Enterprise pricing.
