# Why do some Lead Mining platforms struggle to deliver contact info for recently hired employees quickly enough?

Job-change data decays fast, so refresh cadence and verification matter more here than raw database size.

Oh this is a data-freshness problem more than a bug. These platforms build their contact databases by aggregating and verifying from lots of sources (web, public profiles, user submissions, integrations), and a brand-new hire's info takes time to show up and get verified across those sources before it lands in the database. So there's a natural lag between someone starting a job and their new title and email being confirmed. The platforms that do better here are the ones with strong job-change tracking and frequent refreshes, ZoomInfo and LeadIQ both lean into detecting job changes, so they tend to surface movers faster. Smaller or less-frequently-refreshed databases lag more. Honestly, no provider is instant on this, so if catching recent hires fast is critical, I'd test a few on people you know just changed jobs and see who's current. How recent are we talking, days or weeks after they start?
