"Great software for analyzing SOD's, role conflicts, and automating security reporting"

What do you like best about Fastpath?

The out of the box conflict ruleset to assist in SOD analysis was invaluable given the complexity of AX role design. Further, the ability to schedule reports to further automate the review preparations was useful. Support team is top notch and always responds almost immediately to any questions. Further, they tend to be flexible with customization requests and are happy to hop on calls to help configure SQL triggers if additional support is needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fastpath?

No real gripes here. Never really utilized the certification portion of the software due to other implementations we already used but no complaints about the software itself. Would maybe like to see more info around the universal product integration or more software integrations, but not really a high priority item for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Fastpath solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reducing risk from a segregation of duty perspective and helping to isolate that key changes are only made by appropriate personnel. SQL Triggers to report on any specific changes have been fantastic. Further, role and user conflict reporting following code pushes or changes helps to ensure that changes did not impact any security profiles or roles unexpectedly. WIll say that SQL trigger reporting has turned several reviews that previously were entirely manual into almost entirely automated reviews, saving us 5-6 hours a month at minimum. Recommendations to others considering Fastpath:

Look at your companies risk appetite in correlation to the size of your company as a whole and the accounting/finance department. Take this information into consideration when considering Fastpath for your SoD and Security Design. When you think this information and see that you might have a particular weak point or point for improvement, Fastpath should be considered. Looking into other areas of your organization from an audit standpoint will aid in assessing Fastpath Assure; there are plenty of tools related to security reviews, user access reviews, and identity manager. The FastPath layout and configuration for the setup of applications were straightforward. In no time, the application provided SOD and User Access reports. Fastpath has several reports to help analyze user access that can be scheduled or generated on demand. We use Fastpath with Dynamics AX 2012 and could not imagine our security reviews without this tool! Additionally, Fastpath customer support is always quick to assist or answer any questions we have. Fastpath is a great tool to leverage when configuring and maintaining a compliant ERP system! Fastpath is user friendly and generates all of the necessary reports required to monitor your environment. The team at Fastpath is up-to-date on all new regulatory guidelines and product updates. There is a depth of knowledge on the FastPath team that is unmatched. When in doubt about a topic or solution their team of experts are there to lend a helping hand. Sometimes the reports take a while to generate. However, this is usually due to the risk appetite of a client and how many areas they want to track. Fastpath always teaches the risk based approach and this always helps prevent this issue from occurring. Also, when it does occur the FastPath support team jumps in to save the day. Recommendations to others considering Fastpath:

I would highly recommend Fastpath Assure to anyone who is a system administrator, SOX director, internal auditor, external auditor, or anyone in a compliance function. Overall the tool has something applicable to each one of those roles and provides the necessary insight to obtain required information to keep an organization compliant. If you are looking for a tool to help with governance, risk, and compliance, I would recommend requesting a demo with the Fastpath team. The product speaks for itself. What problems is Fastpath solving and how is that benefiting you?

Currently I'm utilizing Fastpath Assure to develop segregation of duties business activities and build out assessments to provide for clients on a risk based approach. Additionally, I'm leveraging the critical access reports to conduct reviews with the client from both a role based and user based approach.

Auditor always coming knocking on the door looking for reports showing a database log of items. Audit trail helps us provide the necessary information to track the who, what, where, and when.

Security designer helps us solve the unique security requirements for very unique organizations with various levels of risk and business processes.

Identity manager helps from a firefighter perspective to provide the appropriate access at the right time helping us solve the question of "why?".
