# What's the best employee recognition platform for non-technical teams that need minimal training and a fast implementation?

Which employee recognition platforms a genuinely non-technical HR team can implement without extensive training is a narrower question than it looks, because plenty of platforms claim easy setup right up until a company actually tries to configure service awards or approval workflows without outside help. Pulling small-business G2 Grid Data for employee recognition software narrows the field to platforms reviewers describe as usable on day one, not just marketed that way.

Awardco: Reviewers note the interface stays simple even as usage grows, though non-technical teams should expect a slightly steeper initial learning curve than the other three here if they want the full reporting suite from day one.

For non-technical HR teams who launched one of these without formal training: how long did it actually take before most employees were using it comfortably, and was there a specific feature that needed more hand-holding than expected?

Most employees would probably get comfortable with the basics within a few days if recognition and redemption are intuitive. The part I’d expect to need more hand-holding is admin setup, especially approval rules, service awards, and reporting.
