Emissary reached out after I left a large corporate to help their clients on projects all of them have canceled so nothing positive to report. I like the concept and idea, but do not think most firms are mature enough managerially to get the most out of these types of services. I also do not think a one-off one-hour conversation provides enough context for the work they are trying to accomplish, putting both the client and consultant in an awkward situation. What do you dislike about Emissary.io? -The pay multiples less than other services like Coleman, GLG, Guidepoint. -Scheduling is disorganized. -Companies cancel on you at random. -You'll put in a couple of hours filling out forms and schedules to get one one-hour call - if you are lucky, that will be a one-off 200$ per hour rate. Decent rate if there is consistent work, but that doesn't appear likely. Added up you are paid far less than any professional consulting deal you'd get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. In order to be effective, there Emissary needs a relationship to the account specified. I'm not sure they've built enough key relationships with the volume of accounts out there.
