Although I have not used to for about a year, I used it when I worked for a different company and loved the autonomy it provides, like letting you log your own hours. **What do you dislike about Emburse Springahead?** Although it is relatively user-friendly after I started using it, I was a little confused how to use it in the beginning. I was particularly confused on how to add hours for different weeks and didn't like the ambiguity of that. **What problems is Emburse Springahead solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a way for employees to log their hours and then get accountants or payroll employees to approve it. I believe it is beneficial because it provides employees with autonomy but also guarantees accuracy with the accounting approval. ### 4. However, it is easy to zoom in and begin working that way. **Recommendations to others considering Emburse Springahead:** I recommend using spring ahead for small businesses. Because I work in a school, sometimes my hours are different, depending on if school is closed or not. At the end of the week, you have the option to submit all or choose the days you would like to submit for approval. You can view your pay summary and filter on the range dates you would like to view. **What do you dislike about Emburse Springahead?** The only thing I don't like about it is that you don't have to option to update your banking information or see an actual pay stub. The staffing agent would have to send that to you separately. **Recommendations to others considering Emburse Springahead:** Try it out and play with the features. **What problems is Emburse Springahead solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main purpose that I use it for is to input my time and view my payables which is working well. ### 7. SpringAhead Solid B+ Time Keeping Tool **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2020 **What do you like best about Emburse Springahead?** The layout offers an easy 'at-a-glance' for all hours in a given week. **What do you dislike about Emburse Springahead?** My chief complaints are that it times out without notification and it doesn't copy over to the next week. So if I keep it open while working on a project, when I return to enter time, it will let me, but I won't know until I hit [save] that it's actually timed out and all the time I just entered has not been recorded. Week to week, it doesn't automatically copy over the Project Type and Task columns to the next week. The burden is on me to either recreate all 30 client projects each week. There is a 'copy previous' but that copies all the individual time entries as well. This makes it possible to skew your hours without realizing it by overlooking time that had been previously entered, but is not valid for the current week. So, if I want to start a week with clean listing of my client projects and enter time fresh, I have to create a week with all zeroes, then copy that week for several weeks out. **What problems is Emburse Springahead solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it to keep track of billable hours per client. It's what our finance department wants us to use, so I'm assuming they've realized benefits. As an end user, I cannot speak to this. ### 8. As an administrator, it is easy to add projects and users by syncing to QuickBooks. From an accounting standpoint, it is easy to pull invoices out of Spring Ahead and approve time and expenses. **What do you dislike about Emburse Springahead?** I do not like that Spring Ahead doesn't have an app or any way to simply upload receipts by snapping a photo. It would be much easier if you could add a photo of your reciept through an app rather than having to scan the reiciept and upload it to the computer then to Spring Ahead. If you have 50-100 reciepts or expenses in a month, it can become very cumbersome to individually enter line item expenses. **Recommendations to others considering Emburse Springahead:** If Spring Ahead is being used for a small organization it works very well. When the company starts to grow and there are employees working remotely, using spring ahead can become rough. There is no app and some people do have a hard time figuring out how to use it. **What problems is Emburse Springahead solving and how is that benefiting you?** We get expenses approved much faster with Spring Ahead. It makes it very easy to view attachments and see details of each expense as well as with time. The calendar view makes seeing everyone's time entry very easy. ### 9.
