Additionally, the collaboration with the Embeddable team has always been very good. They are very open and willing to help, whether it's to resolve doubts or unlock specific cases. This close support greatly reduces technical friction and gives us confidence. I also appreciate that Embeddable provided us with excellent support during the initial setup, which made it easier to move forward from the POC without major complications. **What do you dislike about Embeddable?** The product is still relatively new. That said, although they have been iterating the product and nowadays the functionalities have advanced a lot, there is still room to create much more customized components with greater flexibility. **What problems is Embeddable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Embeddable accelerates development, allows embedded reports without creating a new reporting layer, reduces technical friction, and gives us confidence with its support. Its flexibility for dashboards and collaboration is a great plus. ### 2. Rather than pushing rigid dashboards or iframes, it helps me build analytics directly into the product using already used components. I can also control the UX and data models right from the backend. **What do you dislike about Embeddable?** Since it's developer-focused, some non-technical users may face a bit of difficulty with the learning curve. As it is newer compared to the legacy BI players, the ecosystem is not as polished as its competitors. **What problems is Embeddable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Embeddable solves the problem of sloppy dashboards, which definitely doesn't feel native inside the Saas application. Data analysts can prototype and build dashboards visually, then developers can take those same components and embed them with full styling control and custom interactions. This eliminates the traditional friction between "business user-friendly" and "developer-friendly" - you get both. Performance with complex retail data has been excellent. We're processing millions of data points across multiple retailers and product categories without performance issues. Integration with modern data stack - works seamlessly with our Cube Cloud semantic layer, unlike traditional BI tools that want to own the entire analytics pipeline. **What do you dislike about Embeddable?** It's still a very young company, so expect some features to be still under development **What problems is Embeddable solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed to replace Looker for embedded analytics in our retail data products (Digital Shelf, Search, Ads) that serve brand clients with insights from 1000+ retailers. The challenge was finding a solution that could satisfy two very different needs: our front-end developers wanted full control over UI/UX customization, while our data analysts needed an intuitive way to build and modify dashboards without constantly involving engineering resources. Traditional BI tools like Looker gave us drag-and-drop functionality but limited customization. Building fully custom solutions would give us flexibility but require massive development overhead for every chart and dashboard. ### 4. The component freedom is amazing, because if you have some support from a front end, or even is willing to do some coding yourself, you'd have an infinity of charts you can use to build your reports. The data modeling infra is really well build on top of Cube.dev semantic data layer. It makes it easier to create models, declare dimensions and measures, join tables and even create pre-aggregations. Way easier then doing that on Power BI or other data viz tools. And the whole embeddable team is also amazing. **What do you dislike about Embeddable?** If you are not a technical analyst, or don't feel comfortable writing SQL, embeddable might not be for you. Building reports on the canvas is as easy as any other Data Viz tool, but setting up data models, dimensions and measures can be a struggle. **What problems is Embeddable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making a report available for multiple users can be hard or expensive. Tools like Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio often required access even for visualisation users, which makes deploying analytics very costly, as you scale users you scale costs as well. Embeddable offers a easy to use way to embed your reports on your pages, being able to securely admin who gets to see what with a intuitive RLS sistem. Besides that, the obvious problem solving from embeddable, their way to manage and organise the data models is also way better than other solution I use previously. ### 5. Making filters to spread across multiple dashboards is convenient, which I love. The way embeddable looks in our app is seamless and really looks like it belongs versus just something thrown in there like with an iframe.The releases have only gotten better with each update, and the people you work with are great. They are there for you if you need clarification or help. They also check in to make sure everything is going well, which is a great customer first approach. Our front end lead talked about how implementing embeddable in our app was easy and straightforward. He liked everything he saw from a use and security standpoint. They have also taken my feedback and expressed an interest in what I have to see for future releases. **What do you dislike about Embeddable?** As embeddable grows, documentation will as well, but their representatives are there for you if you have questions. There are a few small details that I would like to see, but they are fine points and not overall functionality. **What problems is Embeddable solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to be able to place analytics in our app without using an iframe so the visuals/dashboards would look natural and custom made for the app. This freed up our front-end team so they could focus on the more important functionality of our app while an analyst could focus on data visualizations, dashboard creation and data modeling. Everyone is moving faster now because of Embeddable. ### 6. This is very different from other embedded analytics tools which typically only give you a certain out-of-the-box experience. With Embeddable you can customise everything and you can connect any data source of your liking. **What do you dislike about Embeddable?** Embeddable only really shines when combined with an internal developer team. While Embeddable does provide components (visualisations and tables) out of the box, the real value of Embeddable comes from it being very developer friendly and fully customisable. You will only get this when you have access to developer resources, while of course you can also vibe code this. **What problems is Embeddable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Enabling users to self-service analytics in a SaaS application. ### 7. Period. It allows our engineers to simply focus on the features that we need to support, while our product managers can build all the custom made dashboards they want. This speeds up development greatly while retaining our own branding and the look and feel of our own platform. The tooling Embeddable provides is easy to learn, easy to learn and allows those product managers to implement entire production worthy dashboards within minutes. All without the need to write custom code for the dashboards. It's fantastic. At the current time we have 2 engineers building components and adding features full time, as well as three product managers that are implementing curated insights dashboards that provide the essential business insights for around 2000 accountancy, architecture, software and consultancy agencies in and around the Netherlands with an overall ±30.000 end users, we could not have done this without Embeddable. Also, shout out to Ella personally, who has provided excellent customer onboarding and support. Absolutely zero complaints here. **What do you dislike about Embeddable?** One minor issue that is inherent with Embeddable's position and scale at the current time, is that we often run into the problem of missing advanced features. Embeddable is a young company that simply hasn't gotten around to building those features yet. But, seeing how they manage their roadmap and communicate about upcoming features more than makes op for that. **What problems is Embeddable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Embeddable allows us to scale up development of insights dashboards. With previous tooling we needed bespoke solutions for each and every dashboard. And in my experience this is still the case with most all-in-one "big data" solutions. With Embeddable we only need to spent development time on the features that a dashboard should support, and it allows product management to arrange and compose the components at will. This allows us to offer more and better insights into the health of our customer's businesses. ### 8. Integration was seamless into our react app, and the support the embeddable folks provided is first class! **What do you dislike about Embeddable?** We were early adopters, there is a balance between using their out of the box components and building your own from the ground up. Embeddable has been a game changer for me as it does the job nicely and I have been able to do my work faster. In embeddable, I believe some minor adjustments in its UI/UX would do wonders in changing it for best. **What problems is Embeddable solving and how is that benefiting you?** In my job, I have tons and tons of data to deal with.
