Banner Student provides a comprehensive set of tools to manage all core aspects of the student lifecycle. It is our authoritative source for student data. The depth of data and functionality are outstanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ellucian Student?

The Banner Student software can be difficult for newcomers to learn. However, those with Higher Education experience can quickly become adept because Banner Student uses concepts that are familiar to anyone in HIgher Education. What problems is Ellucian Student solving and how is that benefiting you?

Banner Student addresses the complete student lifecycle. It standardizes student data throughout that lifecycle. We have added many supplemental systems but they all use Banner Student data as their authoritative source. We have realized the ability to gather all key student data in one place. What do you like best about Ellucian Student?

I like how banner allows several different integrations and tools for CRM. I also like how the program was pretty simple to learn. It was easy when I first started to learn Banner and catch on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ellucian Student?

I am not happy with the integration of Banner with other platforms. We have had several integration issues. We can manually update some integration that is supposed to be automation, which is good. Although, it takes more time to do manual integration when the program should integrate automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When we initially where doing trial ones during summer 2 sessions there was a lot of lag and malware issues. They've since been fixed and addressed I might add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ellucian Student solving and how is that benefiting you?

A better digital classroom structure, that can handle the day to day of an entire campus worth of use.

Ellucian looks like it hasn't been updated in quite some time. The software requires what feels like a password change each month, which is also frustrating though I understand the intention. FinAid is very much helpful for handling the daily activities of the financial aid office which reduced the manual effort for many of us and our user.

Majorly Need analysis has been very helpful for us as this calculate the contribution applicants are expected to make towards their expenses. The verification process validates certain information
