The mobile app is improving, but not as polished as it could be yet. Sometimes there are non-intuitive ways to get things done. The level of self-customizaiton is a bit lacking. **What problems is Ekos solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to manage our entire ened to end workflow of prodcution to sales and all invnetory management surrounding that. It was very complicated and required data imput at inoportune time. Software like this should be helpful and easy to use and speed your job up and not make it more complicated and frustrate you at your busiest times. When talking to customer support(you have to pay extra to talk to a live human) they would brush off questions and concerns and ask if I had used a feature that I didn't even need. It is easy to get everyone onboarded, and expand the users as needed with minimal training. **What do you dislike about Ekos?** It integrates with Quickbooks, but does not replace it. This is a good or a bad thing, as you still need to run a separate financial software, but we actually prefer that for our setup. It also does not have the strongest ingredient batch tracing, which we currently do manually. **What problems is Ekos solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ekos keeps track of our inventory in and out of production, and notifies us when we need to reorder ingredients / supplies. This reduced last-minute calendar changes and helped us to expand production with minimal errors. They tie in all aspects of cost analysis with production to calculate our actual cost per bottle. They honestly listen and make real changes based on suggestions. Also, it is easy to correct boo boos....however, that allows people to make further boo boos when trying to correct, so the humans need to be mindful of what they are doing....much like everything else in life. Another favorite feature is the ability to create a real-world floorplan in their "Facility View". You can then drag and drop when moving beer or adding ingredients. **What do you dislike about Ekos?** Scheduling calendar has not been very useful in the way it lays out. We still use the spreadsheet we developed. That said, we investigated several platforms and that was a weak spot for every platform. **Recommendations to others considering Ekos:** Determine what requirements you need for your brewery (ERP vs other), and if Ekos is an option in your decision matrix you will not be disappointed. **What problems is Ekos solving and how is that benefiting you?** Pretty much everything but QuickBooks, although Ekos syncs with our QuickBooks every day. We do inventory control, lot tracking, production forecasting, material ordering, invoicing, shipments...pretty much everything. We spent 6 months learning/preparing to onboard with Orchestrated Beer, and I am INCREDIBLY grateful O-Beer refused to onboard us quite literally the day before our live launch because we asked too many questions, such as, "How do we track beer that was kegged then ended up racking into oak barrels?". Their response was, "Breweries don't do that", and something about "industry best practices". We quickly pivoted to Ekos, and I was able to navigate the system and write beer recipes in less than an hour. Our production team was able to do the same. You can follow the process from receiving raw materials all the way to selling finished goods. The ability to create custom reports is one of the most used features. It's affordable compared to other similar systems for breweries. The unlimited number of users is very helpful. **What do you dislike about Ekos?** There are often glitches or errors that require Ekos to fix on their end. You can suggest improvements but it feels like they rarely actually make a change, or it takes a really long time to implement the change. Ekos relies on people entering information in real-time and in order but the system doesn't make it easy to go back and fix human error. We don't use quickbooks and it would be very difficult to switch to quickbooks for our company so we're definitely not getting the full benefit of using Ekos. **Recommendations to others considering Ekos:** You will benefit more if your accounting software and POS is compatible with Ekos. If not, you may want to look into other options. Before onboarding, EKOs told us that they were working on compatibility with our accounting software - 2 years later and I don't believe this will happen! **What problems is Ekos solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's great to have real-time inventory quantities and costs available. The forecasting tool allows better planning for supply orders. It's fairly easy to generate reports and customize them to our needs. I am able to use it for keg tracking, invoice creation for sales, and so much more. With it's ability to connect to my other tools (QuickBooks and Benjipays, for example) it becomes even that much more powerful. **What do you dislike about Ekos?** It is a bit clunky, and web 1.0-like, something I do understand that they're working on improving. It takes a little bit of effort getting your inventory items initially in there, but once that happens it is seamless. Definitely an upgrade from spreadsheets! **What do you dislike about Ekos?** The batch planning functionality can be cumbersome and overly complicated. The accounting side of things aren't as robust as I would like. The cloud based system can be extremely slow, which is frustrating. **What problems is Ekos solving and how is that benefiting you?** Materials forecasting for all raw materials in the brewery. Using spreadsheets to do this takes too much time and effort. The processing time is beyond slow and bogs down the whole system for the rest of our team trying to use Ekos at the same time. Some defaults in the new software are frustrating, for example; starting off a new batch as brite instead of green. This can create issues as you add more turns and try to move batches around the brewery with in the software. **Recommendations to others considering Ekos:** Consider your current size and potential growth. It is attractive in that it combines purchasing, inventory management, invoicing and production scheduling in one tool. But none of these features is great. The mobile app can be a little glitchy with how data and fields are displayed.
