It's also developed using a novel visual engine that's otherwise popular for video games and not GUI software. **What do you dislike about editra?** Editra is no longer maintained. There are no docs, no official channels and even the main website is no longer operational. Compared to better solutions available today like VS Code, Editra is no longer a real option. **What problems is editra solving and how is that benefiting you?** Editra is a text editor and does text-editor things. It provided many different features that were ahead of the time and are now considered the baseline standard for modern text editors. And i like the plugins . And the session option is very helpful to manage when u code or edit different files. And i like the customisation that they provided in the editor, there are lots of theme that we can select from. And Editra can be installed on WIndows,Linux and Mac. And i really like the 'Generator' option it will create enough boilerplate HTML code. **What do you dislike about editra?** I haven't been able to install plugins from internet it says it downloaded, but when i try to install the downloaded plugin it shows that 'failed to install 1 plugin'. I didnt find any option to open a project folder because of that i have to open specific files to edit. **Recommendations to others considering editra:** Its a good code editor if you are looking for a simple HTML editor. and you can also use this as your text editor. it can be installed on Windows,Linux and Mac. and it only takes a minute to install it on your PC. **What problems is editra solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Editra to Edit HTML files when i needed because Editra is good when i try to edit a HTML file so its been really useful. And I also used it for editing JAVA files too . It is also very easy to search through variables in the different lines of the code. I also like to offer suggestions for the code, which helps reduce errors. The design of the interface is simple and can be integrated into compilers. **What do you dislike about editra?** Support for Python is scarce and I do not like to load the program with third-party add-ons.
