The EcoVadis assessment questionnaires are adapted to each company depending on their industry, location, and size, including extra-small companies with up to 25 employees. On average, different small companies are asked ten questions, based on the industry they are involved in.
We understand that smaller companies may not have a sustainability management system that is as developed as larger companies and may have fewer formalized documents. For this reason, we allow more flexibility and welcome non-formalized supporting documents for extra-small companies. The objective of the EcoVadis rating methodology is to measure the quality of a company’s sustainability management system through its policies, actions and results. The EcoVadis sustainability rating methodology is based on seven founding principles discussed in detail in our EcoVadis Ratings Methodology Overview and Principles. Our highly trained, expert analysts evaluates the responses using the EcoVadis scoring methodology, which is based on international standards such as UNGC, ILO, ISO 26000, etc. In addition, EcoVadis employs strict and well-developed scoring guidelines applied to each assessment by expert analysts. Regular training and internal quality controls are performed to ensure the coherence of scoring among analysts.
