"Simplifies Learning with On-Demand Flexibility"
What do you like best about eCornell?

I like the simplicity of the courses offered by eCornell. They're on-demand, which means I can do them at my own pace and on my own time. I also appreciate the professors and the very thorough feedback. Plus, the everyday applications of the courses are relatable and fit well with my understanding. What do you dislike about eCornell?

It's sometimes hard to see if you've made comments to the community and participated in some group activities. It's hard to follow later on if somebody else responded to it or made an additional comment that you can carry forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not a good option for any person with any professional experience."
What do you like best about eCornell?

The learning platform was incredibly easy to use. Unfortunately, that is the only positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eCornell?

As an individual having held multiple operations roles, incredibly disappointed in this 4 course certificate program. Said another way, it was startlingly bad. It's astonishing they market this to C-suite and executives. I'd say it would be a great course for college or even advanced high-school business students.

Unlike other certificate courses, this one truly fell short in terms of the quality of content and applied learning. There are zero -- and I mean zero - case studies. No in-depth look at organizational challenges at various companies and how they solved them. You will learn executive topics such as how to read an organizational chart, and spend a solid few modules being taught what stakeholders are. You will be presented with critical industry analysis such as a section enlightening you to the fact that US Postal Service, UPS, and FEDEX are all companies that deliver packages but operate differently. You will sadly not go into any (and I mean any) detail as to the granular reasons they operate differently and how to apply that knowledge to your own or a future organization.

If this review sounds overly critical, it's because the course was that silly. It pains me to write this, but I'm quite frustrated with my almost $4k outlay.

All of the assignments are lightweight questions that you answer based on a company you currently or have worked at. In other words, if you've never worked in a matrix organization, for example, you will learn nothing about them in this course other than the professors telling you they exist, and literally just a few sentences on their pluses and minuses.

I've taken certificate courses at Stanford and Northwestern Kellogg that are simply exceptional. Different league all together, and same cost. Recommend looking elsewhere than Cornell. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about eCornell?

24/7 anywhere access while course is in progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eCornell?

The modules are often missing information and some of them, particularly those like Operations Management, are missing much information, important details are not explained, and the downloadable tools don't always match the course nor do they calculate as they should. That course in particular is not a good value. I also dislike that so many of the courses are not available as individual modules. The user must progress through each module and can't move to the next if a module isn't completed. Interaction between learners isn't available outside of answering a question posed as an assignment. Sometimes asking another learner for clarification helps. The instructors are often vague when asked questions or tell you what is evident but in the course. I understand why so many do not value these courses on resumes and why so many companies do not pay or reimburse for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent content and seemless delivery."
What do you like best about eCornell?

I loved the multiple formats used for their coursework. They keep you interested in the material with multiple delivery methods. They engaged in group chats and the facilitators were awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eCornell?

The facilitators were on East coast time while i was on West coast. Made communication a bit more difficult but overall I was very happy with my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Waste of Money"
What do you like best about eCornell?

The online format was good and easy to navagate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eCornell?

The professor was incredible unprofessional and not helpful when I asked questions. There were grammatical mistakes in the book. I expected so much more from an accredited Ivy League school, but their online platform has much room for growth. Even though I passed the certification class, it took 6 months and much fighting to be awarded my completion certification. I learned more from my independent studies than this course. "Digital Marketing ECornell Review 2021"
What do you like best about eCornell?

I really took this course because of the Cornell name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eCornell?

The review I wish I had read before taking this course:

I recently completed the Digital Marketing Course through eCornell. The course is usually $3700 but was on sale for $2500 so I thought $2500 for a Cornell course would be a good investment. But remember this is eCornell not Cornell. Let me explain further.

This course length is stated as 8 weeks which are divided into 4 sections. They claim it will take 6-10 hours a section. However, each section has only about 30-45 minutes of prerecorded videos in their entirety (or around 3 hours for the entire course). These videos are made by Cornell staff but the course is not conducted by Cornell staff. Instead, they bring in outside vendors (anyone with 3+ years of experience in the industry). It was my experience that they were nice but not very knowledgeable. Several times I had responses on class projects that were copied and pasted from other people in the class. Each section, to watch all the videos and finish the class projects, took me about 1.5 hours. The course is unbelievably superficial and there is no additional reading or resources that are offered outside the 30-45min of prerecorded videos. It was truly a shame because there is so much to learn in the digital marketing space. It goes without saying that there is no real world application to the knowledge gained in the course. It feels like you are reading the table of contents and the course ends before you learn anything.

So to review: $3700 for 3 hours of prerecorded videos, facilitated by someone with 3 years of experience (not Cornell staff), and taking me a total of 6 hours to complete the entire 8 week course. Please avoid and save your time and money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
