## eCornell Reviews
  ### 1. Flexible Learning with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachelle D. | Economic Mobility Family Engagement Specialist

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

I enjoy the accessibility of eCornell because I'm able to access classes at any given time. I like the information provided in the module format and love that it includes actual videos with transcripts. I appreciate the pricing and the understanding professors who offer an extension policy for classes. I also enjoy the fact that the course material stays online after completion for reference. The initial setup was pretty easy for me, and the platform is very beginner-friendly and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

Some of the live sessions for courses could be improved by giving better time and assignments with the groups together. I think that the group sessions and the live sessions should be assigned once the class starts with the students. Sometimes the live session timing may not work for some people. And so I do think that the live sessions, as though they are good, they can be improved by having students maybe together collectively schedule a time that works best for everyone.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use eCornell to enhance my professional and leadership skills, addressing my challenges in skill development. It offers flexible online access for a busy schedule, allowing me to gain necessary certifications anytime.

  ### 2. A very relevant course for positions who work with legal teams on Business Contracts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

The course information is relevant to my work. The lessons were clearly developed, with real life examples to better illustrate the points of the course. The video quality of the course was very good, audio was clear and pace of the course was appropriate especially for someone who has a full time job. Homework was graded by the different assigned facilitators in timely manner with excellent feedback and what is more importantly were the suggestions of improvement.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

Nothing that I dislike. I am very happy with all that the course offers.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a novice to business contract with zero background or training. I have been learning on the job for a while and many of the words, thinking, strategic approaches were not second nature to me. This course introduces me to the concept, provides me with how I should approach this action in my company and I am confident that what I have learned will be well used regularly in my current job.

  ### 3. Simplifies Learning with On-Demand Flexibility

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

I like the simplicity of the courses offered by eCornell. They're on-demand, which means I can do them at my own pace and on my own time. I also appreciate the professors and the very thorough feedback. Plus, the everyday applications of the courses are relatable and fit well with my understanding.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

It's sometimes hard to see if you've made comments to the community and participated in some group activities. It's hard to follow later on if somebody else responded to it or made an additional comment that you can carry forward.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eCornell helps me understand how performance marketers strategize and think, providing insights into their work setups and challenges.

The website sometimes lagged, which made it harder to navigate between the different sections.

  ### 5. Flexible Learning but Outdated Material

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolyn K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

I like that eCornell was flexible, which helped me fit my studies into a busy schedule. I also appreciated the gobbits of information provided, along with the good additional reference texts.

  ### 14. A older perspective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dina M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2023

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

had an amazing gift, going to cornell as my son was exchange,
could live there forever, but not in my youth , so appreciative now
what great places offer, so sad I was too young in my youth wish I was more appreciative,
could live there forever in mid age . Got in touch with staff so perceptive and appreciating just can't appreciative this enough, I missed my call cheers

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

Nothing, t is all about my son now and his experience

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just a visit, my son has taken an exchange in another sector , I was there as his mother but also as a ' penguin ie bird officianado' impressed with your
ornithological lab, I missed my calling, such a great place and impressive staff for a tour, would bunker down forever in this place, but live so far away thanks for the highlight of my life , nerd

  ### 15. Not a good option for any person with any professional experience.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd S. | COO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2023

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

The learning platform was incredibly easy to use. Unfortunately, that is the only positive.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

As an individual having held multiple operations roles, incredibly disappointed in this 4 course certificate program. Said another way, it was startlingly bad. It's astonishing they market this to C-suite and executives. I'd say it would be a great course for college or even advanced high-school business students.

Unlike other certificate courses, this one truly fell short in terms of the quality of content and applied learning. There are zero -- and I mean zero - case studies. No in-depth look at organizational challenges at various companies and how they solved them. You will learn executive topics such as how to read an organizational chart, and spend a solid few modules being taught what stakeholders are. You will be presented with critical industry analysis such as a section enlightening you to the fact that US Postal Service, UPS, and FEDEX are all companies that deliver packages but operate differently. You will sadly not go into any (and I mean any) detail as to the granular reasons they operate differently and how to apply that knowledge to your own or a future organization.

If this review sounds overly critical, it's because the course was that silly. It pains me to write this, but I'm quite frustrated with my almost $4k outlay.

All of the assignments are lightweight questions that you answer based on a company you currently or have worked at. In other words, if you've never worked in a matrix organization, for example, you will learn nothing about them in this course other than the professors telling you they exist, and literally just a few sentences on their pluses and minuses.

I've taken certificate courses at Stanford and Northwestern Kellogg that are simply exceptional. Different league all together, and same cost. Recommend looking elsewhere than Cornell.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

not applicable

  ### 16. Noble intent, maybe but content quality is inconsistent.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J A. | Not appropriate

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2022

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

24/7 anywhere access while course is in progress.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

The modules are often missing information and some of them, particularly those like Operations Management, are missing much information, important details are not explained, and the downloadable tools don't always match the course nor do they calculate as they should. That course in particular is not a good value. I also dislike that so many of the courses are not available as individual modules. The user must progress through each module and can't move to the next if a module isn't completed. Interaction between learners isn't available outside of answering a question posed as an assignment. Sometimes asking another learner for clarification helps. The instructors are often vague when asked questions or tell you what is evident but in the course. I understand why so many do not value these courses on resumes and why so many companies do not pay or reimburse for them.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of the HR modules have been helpful for soft skills.

  ### 17. Excellent content and seemless delivery.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ava N. | HR Generalist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

I loved the multiple formats used for their coursework. They keep you interested in the material with multiple delivery methods. They engaged in group chats and the facilitators were awesome.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

The facilitators were on East coast time while i was on West coast. Made communication a bit more difficult but overall I was very happy with my experience.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are deepening my understanding on work relatied topics and helping me progress in my career.

  ### 18. Waste of Money

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

The online format was good and easy to navagate.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

The professor was incredible unprofessional and not helpful when I asked questions. There were grammatical mistakes in the book. I expected so much more from an accredited Ivy League school, but their online platform has much room for growth. Even though I passed the certification class, it took 6 months and much fighting to be awarded my completion certification. I learned more from my independent studies than this course.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I took a certification prep course online and it was a highly reviewed program, but I don't feel it was worth the money after my poor experience.

  ### 19. Digital Marketing ECornell Review 2021

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh S. | Site and Sourcing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

I really took this course because of the Cornell name.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

The review I wish I had read before taking this course:

I recently completed the Digital Marketing Course through eCornell. The course is usually $3700 but was on sale for $2500 so I thought $2500 for a Cornell course would be a good investment. But remember this is eCornell not Cornell. Let me explain further.
This course length is stated as 8 weeks which are divided into 4 sections. They claim it will take 6-10 hours a section. However, each section has only about 30-45 minutes of prerecorded videos in their entirety (or around 3 hours for the entire course). These videos are made by Cornell staff but the course is not conducted by Cornell staff. Instead, they bring in outside vendors (anyone with 3+ years of experience in the industry). It was my experience that they were nice but not very knowledgeable. Several times I had responses on class projects that were copied and pasted from other people in the class. Each section, to watch all the videos and finish the class projects, took me about 1.5 hours. The course is unbelievably superficial and there is no additional reading or resources that are offered outside the 30-45min of prerecorded videos. It was truly a shame because there is so much to learn in the digital marketing space. It goes without saying that there is no real world application to the knowledge gained in the course. It feels like you are reading the table of contents and the course ends before you learn anything.

So to review: $3700 for 3 hours of prerecorded videos, facilitated by someone with 3 years of experience (not Cornell staff), and taking me a total of 6 hours to complete the entire 8 week course. Please avoid and save your time and money.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is zero practical application for this course.

  ### 20. Excellent training and a great Learning experience from a top quality school.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaime R. | Country/Call Center Manager (Belize), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2020

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

The online delivery of classes and the methodology.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

The cost of the certifications was a little pricey.

**Recommendations to others considering eCornell:**

The experience is great and the knowledge gained was indispensable in my role as organizational manager.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I increased my business acumen and gained an Ivy League qualification.

  ### 21. Embarrassing excuse for a course, absolutely not worth your money (or even your employer's)

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

I did learn some helpful tools and I appreciated the self pace.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

I took the Business Analytics certification course with Professor Haeger. Several of the courses were riddled with mistakes. Each course has a facilitator, and some are better than others. The good facilitators pointed out the mistakes and helped provide clarifying questions, but this should not be at all necessary for a course that costs $3,000. All of the instructions should be well-baked in to the course itself, and should not require checking the student lounge to ensure you followed all of the bonus instructions from the facilitator. One facilitator pointed out that the mistakes have existed for a while (it sounds like several years, as the videos were filmed in 2017...) yet they haven't taken the time to fix them. I wish I had taken one of the free courses available from any other platform. Cornell has no problem ripping off students and this excuse of a course is no exception. It's embarrassingly out dated, low quality, and not thorough. Even if the courses weren't full of mistakes, I found the course instruction sparse. For $3k, I would expect very detailed, thorough instruction, but at least for the Business Analytics course, this is far from the case. I had to google several functions to understand the details and extenuating cases of how it works. What a waste of time and money.

**Recommendations to others considering eCornell:**

Look anywhere else!

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly it became more about solving the problems of identifying what was a mistake and what wasn't. I haven't learned anything I couldn't have gotten from a free course, likely without much frustration.

  ### 22. In Depth Learning Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renee E. | Math Interventionist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

The Certification in Nutrition and Healthy Living program was a self-paced program with deadlines for each module. I had the freedom to work at my own pace while still having the accountability of a final submission date for each unit.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

Office hours were a challenge for me to attend as they frequently conflicted with my work schedule. However, I appreciated that I am still sent links to upcoming programs and events through e-Cornell, which allow me to further my knowledge should I choose to do so.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The certificate in Nutrition and Healthy Living provided a great deal of foundational knowledge on how the body functions and how the body interacts with specific types of nutrients. I gained an understanding of how those nutrient interactions could lead to health or disease.

  ### 23. Comprehensive and Engaging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alvin Y. | Real Estate Sales Manager & Revenue Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

The curriculum is comprehensive and detailed. Delivery in the online format is well produced. The workload, although it can be spaced out, also introduces deadlines that keep you on active learning without having too large a break in between. Personal help is available by correspondence when required.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

I did the course in the old payment format and not subscription. I think I prefer the old way but I guess this is a matter of preference. Not a deal breaker.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I got a job from having the credentials after taking a course on eCornell.

  ### 24. Precise, to the point and minimal time spent on unnecessary topics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron A. | Operations Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

The short yet precise videos were to best part for me as I was studying part time. Which meant I could spend time one different modules in between my office breaks.
I have been a part of other online course for Data Science specifically. And in these courses my biggest pain point was the size of the videos. They were over 3 hours long. That would mean me having to set aside 3 hours of my day just to complete one topic, so as to not lose the flow of things.
But with eCornell, the videos were 4-5 minutes long. I could quickly get all the necessary information for my tests and proceed to attempt the related tests.
That meant I could use short breaks in between work to complete multiple parts of the course.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

Feedback seemed generic and lacked criticism or correction.

In many cases where I felt I could have done better, I received praise. While I appreciate that, I would have liked to have known where I could have improved or done better.

**Recommendations to others considering eCornell:**

eCornell is value for money.
In just 4 months I learnt a lot of new skills and even received practical tools for implementation.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I learned new skills in Data Analytics to add to my skill set.
I do know skills in Data Analysis, but eCornell showed me practical new skills as well as provided me with tools that I could use to make work easier

  ### 25. Great way to upskill self while working full time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasdeepti S. | Senior Program Manager -Daimler Cyber Security :IAM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

Online courses offered have a challenging Curriculum.
Assignments are tough yet require a lot of effort to finish.
The deadlines to submit the term assignments keep one on toes.
Overall very enriching and engaging experience full of learning.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

The tight timelines for submission of work assignments are never relaxed.

**Recommendations to others considering eCornell:**

Upskill & learn while being in full-time job.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I did the Leadership & strategy 1year executive learning certificate, which has helped me grow up the corporate ladder.

  ### 26. A life changing Executive Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marielle T. | Currently looking for Freelance Contract Work based at Home, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

My course was in Change Management and the subject, the method, and the process was exactly what I needed for my challenges at work.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

I would like a follow up course
I would have enjoyed a part 2 - after I implemented what I had learnt.

**Recommendations to others considering eCornell:**

This is a highly beneficial program - you can do it at your pace but it does require engagement. My suggestion is to start the course with a problem or project in mind and resolve or implement it as you go along.

It will be interesting how you will revisit past courses as you see how what you have implemented is working (or not ) out

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Over the last 10 years I have worked in a company that had one merger, 3 restructurings, and a complete change in the business environment. This has meant that I have been asked to change but also lead change in very volatile environments.

The course at eCornell with its very realistic and 'actual business' examples helped me a lot. In particular the interviews which were based on real life.

The course did not just discuss stakeholders needs (as is usual the case in business courses) but also stakeholders psychology and personal needs and agendas, something rarely discussed in business schools, and yet is very real in real business.

It helped me better comprehend how others will be affected by a change but also how they perceive they will be affected - which opened my eyes as to who was behind or against the change and WHY.

  ### 27. Insightful HR Analytics Course!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

How the course was split into bi weekly modules. I think the overall structure was very helpful in terms of being aligned with the deadlines and discussions. The final assignments for each module was a great way of summarizing everything and applying all the knowledge into something more practical.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

I wish we explored more analytical tools such as tableau, power BI, etc. Tools like these that are actually being used in the workforce would have helped me become more familiar with technology with the growth of HR Analytics in todays world. I understand that this is a completely asynchronous way of learning, but if we could have ways to interact with other participants more. Specifically, I wish our final projects included working in small groups working with one another on a specific case or something specific wherein we could apply the content that was taught to us (similar to MBA/MS classroom case studies/assignments).

**Recommendations to others considering eCornell:**

As a user it was very smooth sailing and self explanatory for me!

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I didn't really have any problems with eCornell, everything was smooth sailing for me! I realized the importance of being organized in such a platform and how we have to pay attention to every small detail in order to be organized and stay on track!

  ### 28. Experence at eCornell

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajesh M. | Leader-Data and AI Platform, India/SA, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

Experienced faculty, focussed discussions and cross-cultural interactions

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

The course seemed to get over fast. Case studies could have been more.

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to think with a different perspective.

  ### 29. Up-to-date Practical Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian P. | Public Speaking, Mentoring, and Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2021

**What do you like best about eCornell?**

The courses is a great combination of theory and practice, including self-reflection. The theory also focuses on research-based models that are relevant to leadership today.

**What do you dislike about eCornell?**

Cohort interaction and collaboration could be designed better.

**Recommendations to others considering eCornell:**

Read the course descriptions when selecting your electives, and dedicate a good amount of time to study the materials and research beyond what is provided

**What problems is eCornell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expansive view of the competencies needed in executive leadership — it provided a good overview but also inherently will lead you to more questions and insights to take foreward beyond the course

I think the materials and contents were relevant and practical. On top of that, the videos from professors who clearly talk and explain the concepts were really beneficial and understandable.
