eCognition Developer is a powerful development environment for object-based image analysis. It is used in earth sciences to develop rule sets (or applications for eCognition Architect) for the automatic analysis of remote sensing data.

**What do you like best about eCognition Developer?**

eCongnition Developer is used for analyzing high-resolution satellite images, drone images. The supervised, unsupervised and object-based classification can be carried out in eCongnition, along with the advanced Geographic Information System (GIS)  analysis.

**What do you dislike about eCognition Developer?**

eCongnition Developer is proprietary software and is very costly. 
It is not user-friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering eCognition Developer:**

eCognition Developer can be beneficial if users require to analyze a huge amount of geospatial data. 
Various ready-to-use algorithms and tools are available in eCognition Developer

**What problems is eCognition Developer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using eCognition Developer, I was working on the object-based classification from the satellite images.

**What problems is eCognition Developer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been implementing different image segmentation algorithms to a time series of this data set.
