## TASKING Debugging Tools Reviews
  ### 1. Intuitive GUI, But Limited with Breakpoints

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanket K. | Embedded Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about TASKING Debugging Tools?**

I use TASKING Debugging Tools for debugging the software I wrote for my embedded NXP device. I like the real good GUI it provides, allowing me to debug line by line. It is easy to use, and after the initial setup, which was a bit complicated, it has been very smooth. I like TASKING Debugging Tools more than any other debugging tools I've used.

**What do you dislike about TASKING Debugging Tools?**

I have a special requested BBE core support, and while the support was really fast and helpful, the issue is it only allows me to keep one breakpoint at a time in that core. When we had a new project with TI Devices, we had the issue that TASKING Debugging Tools isn't supporting TI DSP core, so we needed to switch to TI Debuggers and Tools. Initially, the setup was a bit complicated.

**What problems is TASKING Debugging Tools solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TASKING Debugging Tools to debug software for my embedded NXP device. It offers a good GUI for line-by-line debugging, which I find easy to use.

  ### 2. User-Friendly with Excellent Support, Minor Core Limitations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about TASKING Debugging Tools?**

I like the user-friendly interface of TASKING Debugging Tools, which, along with clear visibility into registers, memories, and execution flow, makes debugging firmware much easier. I also appreciate that during the initial setup, we received support from TASKING colleagues, including onsite visits, which made the process smoother and supported our project throughout, and they continue to support us if any issues arise.

**What do you dislike about TASKING Debugging Tools?**

Overall tools works well but we didn’t get an option to debug on c66x core.

**What problems is TASKING Debugging Tools solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TASKING Debugging Tools help us identify and fix firmware issues, providing insights into registers and memory layouts. Its user-friendly interface and clear visibility into execution flow make debugging firmware much easier.

  ### 3. Effortless Embedded Software Debugging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umme Salma R. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about TASKING Debugging Tools?**

I find that high-level C code debugging with TASKING Debugging Tools is much easier since working with assembly code is quite challenging. The ability to debug in a big embedded project is essential, and TASKING Debugging Tools makes this possible. I also appreciate that the GUI is user-friendly, which enhances the overall debugging experience. Configuration is quick, taking only a few minutes, which saves time during setup.

**What do you dislike about TASKING Debugging Tools?**

Hardware/license is expensive.

**What problems is TASKING Debugging Tools solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TASKING Debugging Tools helps me find software bugs and simplifies high-level C code debugging. Its user-friendly GUI makes debugging in large embedded projects possible.

  ### 4. Efficient Debugging with Advanced User-Friendly Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about TASKING Debugging Tools?**

I really like that TASKING Debugging Tools is a user-friendly tool, yet it offers very advanced options. It's efficient for debugging code to find problems, configuring the microcontroller correctly, flashing software on target hardware, and reading from the controller. I also found the initial setup very easy.

**What do you dislike about TASKING Debugging Tools?**

The only thing missing to me is the integrated preprocessor engine like debugging tools from other providers. I want to see the macro values as well that TASKING Debugging Tools cannot do well.

**What problems is TASKING Debugging Tools solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TASKING Debugging Tools to debug Aurix TC3XX, see microcontroller registers, debug high-level C code, configure microcontrollers, flash software on hardware, and read from the controller efficiently.
