It has a simple design and has a help wizard to carry out the backup processes. I also like because it is possible to schedule backups. Also, it connects through API's with cloud storage platforms such as Dropbox or OneDrive. **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** I find the cost of Duplicator Pro to be very high for the number of site licenses it offers per subscription. **Recommendations to others considering Duplicator Pro:** A very useful tool for companies that have different websites. It has a wide range of integrations with cloud storage platforms like Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon, and more. **What problems is Duplicator Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Duplicator Pro to back up all of the organization's websites. It has been really useful when making restorations to our ecommerce since the database is large and we were concerned about the loss of information. ### 2. No broken links are so important for me when I move a website. **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** Though it is not a problem for me since I have used Duplicator Pro for so many years, it is a bit complicated to learn at first. **Recommendations to others considering Duplicator Pro:** This is the very best plugin I have found to move and backup websites by far. No broken links and the cleanup is very thorough. **What problems is Duplicator Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Duplicator Pro to move websites from one hosting to another, to restore a corrupt site and generally to have a back up as soon as I make major changes to a website. ### 3. Duplicator Pro has been my go-to resource for the last 15 months, and I'm quite happy to renew it each year because I know it will save me both time and effort should I be faced with issues where I need to restore/deploy a site quickly. I obviously like that I can save a website or parts of a website, depending on configuration within just a few moments. This software also makes it easy to download everything I need to take with me, and to present the whole job to the people I work with in an easy-to-understand format that I can show as well as teach others to use for themselves in their own deploys. I specifically appreciate the amount of control I have with regards to the backup of a site, and the options I have during the re-deploy phase. I also like that during this phase, I can log in using the account cpanel, and point to the username and database that I want to affect, rather than hope and pray I got the correct information. I'm very happy with Duplicator Pro. **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** I did dislike that I had to upgrade to Pro to get full functionality to save/upload a larger database. The re-installation process for a website can be a bit of a challenge the first few times as well. It took me some time to be comfortable to test and try some of the features offered because the walk through that the website published at the time of deploy didn't delve into some of the options. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with Duplicator Pro, and I would purchase it again. **Recommendations to others considering Duplicator Pro:** I think that with any software that you purchase for a big job, or anything you invest in, you should definitely do your research and make sure that the software does the job you need it to. I found that purchasing Duplicator Pro helped me multiple times, including when all of our information was dumped by our host on accident, and the site had to be redeployed quickly in the middle of the night. I could not have done everything I needed to within the 45 minutes to hour that it took to use Duplicator Pro and redeploy the last saved backup that I had taken just 3 days prior. I believe in Duplicator Pro, and I intend to use it and be a part of it's active user community to make it even better so that other, newer users will find the ease and reliability I have found while using it. I would strongly suggest other users who are serious about backing up and redeploying consider using Duplicator Pro because it will make their jobs easier and quicker. **What problems is Duplicator Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to move sites between test environments and permanent servers quickly and efficiently as well as deploy multiple sites within a short amount of time. I'm also able to save a site and retrieve it quickly in case I need to move it between hosts. ### 4. I also like how I can hide my business license key from clients whom I use the software for, so I know that I'm the only one that can access the actual license. Reports of when scheduled backups succeed or fail has become a critical part of my backup infrastructure. **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** Truth be told, I have not run into any issues with the application itself, or the licensing system. **Recommendations to others considering Duplicator Pro:** For the price, it's a very efficient and reliable tool that gives peace of mind and flexibility when it comes to Wordpress backups. **What problems is Duplicator Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Duplicator Pro allows me to regularly schedule fully automated backups to AWS S3 to ensure that my clients' sites are secure, and I have redundant backups stored in the cloud that I can fall back on if need be. I have utilized it in a production setting numerous times now in my two years of owning it, and Duplicator Pro has been invaluable in both backing up and migrating client sites. ### 5. Even when tech support at the new host is unable to migrate a web site, I have been able to do it successfully. This plugin works and is easily worth the cost of the pro version. **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** I have had some trouble storing the package directly via FTP, but that may be because of the new server's naming configuration. Using duplicator pro generally has saved me a lot of time and headache with site migration. I particularly like that all I mostly have to do is create a package, upload it to a new site with a new database and specifically follow a basic kind of tutorial. Other methods for manually duplicating WordPress websites really were frankly very daunting and the tutorials that exist to really walk you through the process manually leave kind of much to be desired, definitely contrary to popular belief. **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** There is nothing that I dislike about duplicator pro other than that it seems to require updates almost all the time, which for the most part is quite significant. **Recommendations to others considering Duplicator Pro:** It's really worth it - cuts the hassle out of migrating websites. **What problems is Duplicator Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Duplicator pro definitely made my life so much easier when I needed to move both my personal and my league's websites from one domain to another, which basically is fairly significant. I also used duplicator pro to for all intents and purposes create a copy of my website that I can drastically generally update while still having my generally main site in place. I hope to soon finish the updates and copy the new, updated version to my domain with the help of duplicator pro. I would definitely use again for similar purposes and also just to create a backup of my site in case something happens. ### 7. I don't have the skill set to migrate databases on my own. Duplicator Pro allowed me to migrate my sites to a faster, more robust server with zero issues. I was even able to change the URL in one case when I went from a staging site to a live site. Many WP developers use a localhost to build sites before launching, this allowed be to build the site on my actual server with a dummy URL so the client could see his site before going live. **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** Nothing less, nothing more than you need. **Recommendations to others considering Duplicator Pro:** Read the instructions thoroughly or watch the video. We were stuck moving a large client site with the fremium version - but after upgrading to Pro, it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Using site licences across is simple and flexible - we can freely move licences between multiple client sites, to use them exactly when and where we need to. **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** We've been using Duplicator Pro for a year now. I don't remember any niggles upgrading or getting the licence registered, so were up and running really quickly. **Recommendations to others considering Duplicator Pro:** If you're struggling to move a large site, don't waste time trying to split and stitch the site. Get Pro and complete the job quickly. **What problems is Duplicator Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Duplicator Pro saves time moving large sites, pure and simple. We had spent time trying to split the site down, moving the images and content separately. It didn't work. Once we'd upgraded, we were off and had everything sorted within a few minutes. ### 9. For migrating sites from one server to another and even one domain name to another, Duplicator Pro has proved indispensable! **What do you dislike about Duplicator Pro?** Very occasionally there are environments (available server/Apache packages) which Duplicator Pro has some issues re-constituting sites when re-deploying, but usually there is a work around. Also, I do sometimes forget to turn off WordFence Security first and not doing so will interfere with re-deployment and cause a headache until re-done. There should likely be a built-in warning (or I am not seeing it). Some of the "Notices" are more critical than others and the differentiation between them could be better. **What problems is Duplicator Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using Duplicator Pro to 1) back-up websites before development changes, 2) to create staging sites, 3) to move client sites to new web hosts, and 4) occasionally to move sites to new domain names. Savings in time and confidence( especially since one cannot always transfer and test at the very same time) have proved totally invaluable. ### 10.
