## Dropbox Reviews
 ### 1. Effortless File Sharing and Sync, But Pricing and Free Space Could Improve

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edison M. | Music Producer & DJ | Founder of Eds Music, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Dropbox makes it incredibly easy to organize, store, and share large files between my devices and collaborators. The sync speed is fast and reliable, and I love that I can access my files anywhere without worrying about losing data. The smart sync and automatic backup features are a huge plus — they save a lot of space on my local drive and keep my workflow running smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The storage plans can get expensive, especially when you’re managing multiple accounts or large music/media projects. Sometimes the desktop app can use more CPU than expected, and file syncing gets stuck occasionally if the connection drops. It would also be great if the free tier offered a little more space for smaller projects or collaborations.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox helps me keep all my creative projects organized and synced across multiple devices. As a music producer, I often switch between my laptop, studio computer, and phone — Dropbox ensures my Ableton files, stems, and artwork are always up to date. It also solves the problem of large file transfers when collaborating with other artists or designers. Instead of sending files over email or messaging apps, I just share a Dropbox link and it’s done instantly. This saves me a lot of time and avoids version confusion

 ### 2. Great tools for client review, terrible tools for downloading of large data sets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles T. | Video Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I use Dropbox as a way to deliver videos for client review and Dropbox provides very convenient tools for commenting. I developed a workflow to use comments in the Dropbox interface as tasks to complete following client review, and leaving detailed notes creates a very useful "paper trail" of conversations to review prior iterations of an edited video.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The tools to download large quantities of data are very rudimentary. If I want to download a folder with a large volume of data to my computer (number of files is high AND there's a large total size of data) I either have to 1)use the Dropbox app which will force me to sync desktop with my entire Dropbox UNLESS I fiddle with sync settings, which is very inconvenient, 2)Download a zip archive of the entire folder via the web, which will likely fail, 3)Individually download each and every file in the folder which is time consuming, or 4)Download onto my iPhone or iPad via the Dropbox app and then Airdrop to my PC, which is both time consuming AND fiddly.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox provides a FAST way to upload video, send them for client review, AND providing a platform for client notes to be itemized.

 ### 3. Effortless File Sharing, Needs Some Upgrades

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie M. | Investigative Paralegal, Law Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I use Dropbox daily for work and sometimes personally. I often have to share large files, videos, presentations and the like that are too large to email, so I provide a Dropbox link for other firms or experts needing to review files. Dropbox is universally known, so most people know how to use it and are not intimidated when I say I'll send a Dropbox link. I like the ease of use in Dropbox when managing files and placing items in folders.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

I would like to automate access to Dropbox links when I send them to expire on a certain date or within a designated amount of time like, 'This link will expire in two weeks.' so that I don't have to worry about who has access.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Dropbox to share large files quickly and easily when emailing them isn't an option, which simplifies collaboration with co-counsel or experts.

 ### 4. Dropbox: Simple, Reliable Storage and Seamless Cross-Device Sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew R. | Information Technology Support Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I like how easy Dropbox makes it to store, organize, and share files across all my devices. It’s simple, reliable, and convenient.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

I dislike that the free storage is limited, and some useful features require a paid subscription.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox solves the problem of keeping my files organized, backed up, and accessible from anywhere. It saves me time and makes it easy to share files and collaborate with others.

 ### 5. Intuitive, Reliable Sync and Collaboration That Streamlines Teamwork

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro C. | Bookkeeper and Executive Assistant, Machinery, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Dropbox is extremely easy to use and intuitive, making file storage, organization, and sharing simple across devices. Syncing works reliably so I can access files anywhere, and the collaboration features (sharing links, version history, and cross-platform support) noticeably improve workflow efficiency. It integrates well with tools like Microsoft Office, Slack, and Google Docs, making teamwork smoother and file access seamless. The interface is clean, and setup was quick and straightforward

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The pricing and storage limits can feel high relative to competitors — free plans offer limited space, and paid plans can add up quickly for heavy users. Some users also report occasional syncing delays with large files, and navigation or organization tools could be more advanced.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox solves the challenge of managing, backing up, and sharing files securely in a cloud environment. It ensures that files are accessible from any device and location, which reduces dependency on local storage and prevents data loss. The ease of sharing large files with links speeds collaboration, and features like version history and file recovery add a safety net for critical projects

 ### 6. Reliable Cloud Storage and File Sharing, but Pricing Could Be Better

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madhur G. | Freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Dropbox is simple and reliable for storing, syncing, and sharing files across devices. The file versioning feature has saved me multiple times when I accidentally overwrote a file. Sharing large files with clients (especially globally) is effortless. The desktop app and integrations with tools like MS Office and Slack make it smooth to use. I have used it during my CA Final preparations when I used to write test and upload answers for my mentor to check. He would upload test papers on dropbox and I would upload the answers.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Free storage is very limited compared to competitors like Google Drive. The paid plans felt expensive, especially for students or freelancers. Also, collaboration features (like commenting or real-time editing) are not as strong as Google Workspace or OneDrive.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me in sharing study materials, submitting test answers, etc.

 ### 7. Seamless Cross-Device Editing with Great App Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I like its integration with other apps. I can create documents on my computer using programs like Scrivener, and then edit them right on my phone.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Sometimes the integration can feel a bit clunky. It may not even be Dropbox’s fault, but when I use Scrivener it isn’t very straightforward: I have to create new files within the program and then resync multiple times to get everything lined up.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to send large files, edit them locally, and then easily sync everything to the cloud so I can keep editing on the go.

 ### 8. Transparency and seamless integration with Finder, ultra-simple folder sharing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I appreciate the transparency of the system, which integrates perfectly with the Finder. I also like the ability to share folders very easily with other users.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

File transfer is slower compared to cloud systems where data is not stored on our machine. The price of the accounts is slightly above the competition.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox allows me to no longer have physical storage keys to carry files. Dropbox allows me to share common sources with others, solving the problem of outdated folders that do not share the same resource documents.

 ### 9. Universal Folder Sharing That Makes Downloads Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda R. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Universal ability to be able to send people a folder of items to download

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Having to set up a separate account when I could just drop items in a Google Drive folder when already logged into my Google account, then sharing that link

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to send items for people to download from a link that looks more legitimate than a Google Drive link is great

 ### 10. Effortless File Sharing and Syncing, But Could Be Faster with Large Folders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph A. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

It makes file storage and sharing incredibly simple. I love how reliably it syncs across devices, ensuring I always have access to the most up-to-date files no matter where I’m working. The folder organization is intuitive, and sharing documents with clients and collaborators is seamless. Its reliability and ease of use make it a core part of my workflow. The Ease of integration is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

At times, file syncing can feel slow, especially with larger folders. More advanced document organization and search features would also be helpful when managing many files.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox helps centralize my files and keep everything organized across devices and team members. Instead of juggling documents through email or multiple storage locations, I can quickly access what I need in one place. File sharing is simple and secure, which streamlines collaboration and saves time. Overall, Dropbox improves efficiency, reduces confusion, and helps keep projects moving smoothly.

 ### 11. Clean, Straightforward Interface That Makes File Organization Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo C. | CRM Solution Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

The interface is clean and straightforward, making file management and organization feel effortless and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The biggest drawback for me is the pricing structure. The free tier feels quite limited, and moving up to a paid plan is a significant jump in cost if you only need a moderate amount of additional space. I’ve also noticed that syncing very large files can be slow at times and can put a noticeable strain on my computer’s resources.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the “file too large to email” problem. I can send massive videos or presentations (up to 100GB+ on certain plans) using a simple link, instead of struggling with compression, failed uploads, or other sending errors.

 ### 12. Effortless Collaboration, Secure File Sharing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierce J. | Digital Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I use Dropbox for file storage, sharing, and collaboration on documents among team members. I find it easy to use and appreciate that it integrates well with my laptop and is secure. We have some sensitive files and feel confident that these are safe. I also value the ability to share files with clients. The initial setup was easy, and it's straightforward to add new team members.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

not being able to collaborate on files at the same time as other team members

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Dropbox for file storage, sharing, and collaboration, especially helpful for remote work. It's easy to use, integrates well with my laptop, and keeps sensitive files secure, giving me peace of mind.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria A. | Student Success Facilitator - Spanning the Gaps, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I love how easy it is to access, use, and navigate, and how simple it makes sharing files securely with other folks in a user-friendly way.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

I don’t like that organizing folders feels tedious and repetitive, especially when I end up automatically duplicating the same tasks.

File sharing without the hassle of overextending myself, like having to review and manage access for everyone involved in the project.

 ### 14. Very useful for file storage and retrieval online

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Nothing, its a great file storage software.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File storage and retrieval is much easy than any other software

 ### 15. Easy, Trusted File Sharing with Dropbox’s Strong Brand Reputation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Ease of use, ability to download files without logging in, band reputation (when it comes to file transfers/storage bigger brands allow us to prevent security worries from clients, when this is done through drop box, clients have higher trust due to the brand reputation)

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Recently, it seems like DropBox is trying to lock clients into logging in and it causes friction as often times those clients will be on a free account with limited storage and they receive error codes indicating they've exceed their storage limit or cannot download items due to the free plan

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File transfer between clients mostly, storage and project management, and coordination with freelancers

 ### 16. Cloud Sharing Large Files Made Easy

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

“One downside is that storage can fill up quickly, and upgrading to higher plans can get a bit expensive over time. Also, syncing can occasionally lag when working with larger files.”

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

“Dropbox solves the problem of keeping files organized, accessible, and easy to share across devices. It benefits me by saving time, simplifying collaboration, and ensuring I always have access to important documents when I need them.”

 ### 18. Effortless File Syncing and Sharing with Dropbox

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nijat I. | Full-stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Dropbox makes it very easy to store, share, and sync your files. Dropbox comes with excellent syncing capabilities to make sure your documents are up to date. Storing large files and syncing them with people in your business network takes very less time. Being able to go back to old versions of your file makes it very easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The storage space allowed on free and lower-cost subscriptions can almost seem a little restrictive. At times, the process of synchronizing large files in a folder takes a little longer than expected. Some of the advanced collaboration tools will only be accessible with a paid subscription. The interface may seem very simple.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox provides a solution to the problem of accessing and managing files from various devices and teams. Dropbox eliminates the use of email attachments or the process of transferring files from storage. Dropbox syncs files automatically, which means all members work with the latest version of documents. Dropbox makes collaborating much simpler and prevents confusion. Dropbox ultimately provides time-saving and secure access to files.

 ### 19. Massive Storage with Easy Access, But Watch Out for Locked Files

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ncumisa S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I use Dropbox to store documents and large files, including photos. I appreciate that you get free storage and, if you need more, you can pay based on your needs. I value the massive storage because it allows me to combine and store important documents, accessible from different devices as long as I log in. I rated it a 9 because it's unlimited if well organized.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

If you don't pay for the storage, they automatically close it off, meaning whatever you had is locked in until you pay. The initial setup was pretty easy but could have been more easy if everything was linked.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Dropbox to store large files and documents, allowing access across devices with a login.

 ### 20. Reliable, Simple File Syncing and Effortless Sharing with Dropbox

I like using Dropbox for sharing files with our customers because it allows for bulk sharing simultaneously between the client's end and our end. The cloud sharing feature makes it easy to use. I find the syncing feature particularly useful, as it updates files in real-time, allowing others to view changes simultaneously. Dropbox was easy to install, and we didn't need IT support for setup.

I prefer it if it is work like SQL Server; then it would be very much beneficial to our organisation.

 ### 47. Dropbox User Experience Feedback

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Armando R. | Global Talent Acquisition Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I really like how simple it is to upload files, organize them into folders, and share links. Everything is easy to navigate, and the platform just works without feeling clunky. Being able to securely share large files is especially helpful. I can send files to specific people and feel confident they’ll be able to access and download them without issues. It’s also great for sharing non-sensitive materials with larger groups quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Upload and download speeds can be hit or miss. A few years ago, everything felt faster and more reliable, so it’s frustrating when things slow down now. I’ve also had cases where my own files were flagged as copyrighted, even though I’m the owner. Dealing with customer support in those situations hasn’t been easy, whether it’s getting in touch with someone or proving ownership, and it ends up making the whole process more frustrating than it should be.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox solves the problem of sharing, storing, and organizing large files in a secure and accessible way. It eliminates the need for email attachments or unreliable third-party transfer tools by offering a centralized platform where I can upload, manage, and share content quickly.

For me, the biggest benefit is the ease of collaboration, especially when working with multiple people or sending large files that would otherwise be hard to transfer. It also helps me keep my files organized and accessible from anywhere, which is essential for staying productive across different projects and devices.
