Since it is a web online service, it might be an issue with security. If a Gmail account is hacked, the diagrams are at risk.
Most of the times these diagrams hold a very sensitive information for companies.

**Recommendations to others considering Draw.io:**

Be sure where you save your work and be careful with sharing your private files to the public

  ### 39. Draw.io helps me map my brain in the most efficient ways!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany R. | Promotional Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2016

**What do you like best about Draw.io?**

I love that I can let my brain go crazy, and empty it out using Draw.io.

I've got so much on my brain at any point, and I've been able to use Draw.io in order to mindmap business plans. Sometimes my business partners and I have a hard time communicating features, so we open up Draw.io and input our ideas in a visual format that everyone can understand!

**What do you dislike about Draw.io?**

I feel like the system for opening files (through google drive specifically) could be improved. I don't really have any problems with the program.

**Recommendations to others considering Draw.io:**

Yes! Try it! It's absolutely freaking fantastic!

If you want to explode your brain all over the page, especially if you need help mind mapping. I use it for mind mapping, site maps, and I even use it to find out my artist family tree (from the book "Steal Like An Artist".)

**What problems is Draw.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem I'm solving is sharing my brain with others - especially complex ideas with multiple levels.

One benefit was in designing the sitemap for a friend, we had a hard time communicating our ideas in words. Once we started using Draw.io, we were able to clearly communicate our ideas to each other.

For my photography business, I was able to create a value delivery system from start to finish using Draw.io - I love that I can make the workspace as large as I need, just by stretching items out. And I was able to continually add things I forgot to my value delivery system, so I can see everything I need to do at a glance.

  ### 40. Draw.io Review

I like the fact that Draw.io offers their tool at no cost for users to collaborate in real-time without having to make a purchase.

**What do you dislike about Draw.io?**

Their gallery of templates seems to be very limited and the tool may be difficult to use for those without design experience.

**What problems is Draw.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create diagrams and flowcharts mainly to use with website design and writing code.

  ### 41. I love this program!

**What do you like best about Draw.io?**

I've yet to find a simpler process map tool out there. The single sign-on with Google Apps and the Google Drive integration make this such a pleasant and low friction tool to utilize. I recommend Draw.io all the time.

**What do you dislike about Draw.io?**

It's a very simple, yet effective app. I don't really have many things that I dislike about it. I continue to recommend it to everyone because of it's simplicity.

  ### 45. Quick and easy flow-graph and diagram tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kentleigh E. | Web Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2016

**What do you like best about Draw.io?**

The cloud support for draw.io has to be one of it's best features, if not that, the ability to run the Chrome app locally is the next best.
There are times where I found myself working in the field, with no access to the internet, and I had to draw up diagrams, draw.io made it possible for me to quickly put together a good looking diagram that helped me to plan out my work.
The best thing is probably that it is free to use; no cost at all, unlike most high quality diagram applications available.

**What do you dislike about Draw.io?**

I'd say the drawbacks of Draw.io rest in some of the interface drawbacks; it is difficult to consistently get a specific style, as the object stroke and fill styling often only remembers the last object, and it's difficult.
If I want to make a change to the colouring halfway through creating a diagram, I often have to go through quite a tedious task and redo much of the diagram.

I also find that it is quite lacking for any wireframe design purposes; the grid snapping is unhelpful in that respect, and the icon libraries do not give you much to work with.

**Recommendations to others considering Draw.io:**

Draw.io is great if you're looking for a tool that's easy to use across multiple platforms and devices.
One of the best things about it is that there is no price gate, you can use draw.io without any cost, for that reason, there is no reason to give it a try.

**What problems is Draw.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Draw.io in many different aspects.
The first was for planning a massive PHP and MySQL system that required creating data associations tables, site map structures, and flow block diagrams; Draw.io made this possible.

The second usage was with lighting design and programming; while managing the lighting at a music festival, I needed to program a MIDI controllers to manage the lighting, and I needed to ensure there was no confusion with my lighting team for using the controllers; so I used Draw.io to mock up a quick diagram of the controllers and indicated what each button controlled.

In both uses, Draw.io made the tasks significantly easier to understand and manage.

  ### 46. A really good design tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Draw.io?**

This tool offers the possibility of designing many different types of diagrams. A strong point is the fact that it has lots of templates and this could be really helpful on many occasions. Another advantage of using this tool is the facilities that gives you to create new diagrams and customise all the components. So, when I tried it for the first time I decided to choose as my favourite tool for designing.

**What do you dislike about Draw.io?**

In my opinion, it is a bit difficult to use the links between charts. They are not as flexible as I would like. Another point is the fact that it is a bit strict to add labels to these links. So, what I dislike from this tool is the way that they offer us the links for working with them.

**Recommendations to others considering Draw.io:**

It is a good tool for designing and sharing diagrams. This offers the possibility of saving with a Google account what it means that it is easy to have access to your projects everywhere.

**What problems is Draw.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to design diagrams to share between all of us and we discovered this tool and we accepted it as a good one.

I love that Draw.io is so simple and easy to use. A lot of times I just need something to get the ideas out of head quickly. Draw.io is perfect for that.

**What do you dislike about Draw.io?**

Could use some frameworks that allow for uniform design output. It's a bit of a challenge on a touchscreen/ smaller screen to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Draw.io:**

Go with this app if you want something that just works.

**What problems is Draw.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I just need something to mindmap and build flow charts with. Draw.io lets me get to work fast and doesn't get in the way with bloated features.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh Q. | Lead AWS Systems Architect, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

It's pretty much free! It also has built in objects for AWS environment diagrams, which is what we primarily use it for.

**What do you dislike about Draw.io?**

Saving and exporting to a local file is a bit problematic at times. A bit browser intensive on mac.

**Recommendations to others considering Draw.io:**

Great tool for diagramming. A bit twitchy in the browser, but it's easy enough to pick up.

**What problems is Draw.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A low cost and open environment diagram tool. Something that easily integrates with our documentation in Confluence.

- XML format (can be embedded)
- all shapes can have any style applied to it

- generally great user interface
- easily insert images

- UI mockups and design
