## Domotz Reviews
 ### 1. Domotz Delivered a True Single Pane of Glass...and Efficiency Gains

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clayton B. | National Sales & Project Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

I’ll be honest: I don’t typically write software reviews. My schedule doesn't usually allow for it, and most tools simply do "just enough" to get by. However, our experience with Domotz has been so transformative, and their team has been such an incredible partner in tailoring development to our specific needs, that I felt compelled to share our story. If you are trying to scale a complex infrastructure, you need to read this.

Before implementing Domotz, my company was trapped in a multitude of tools nightmare. We were relying on homegrown systems developed over a decade ago that simply couldn't keep up with our growth. We had zero visibility into critical hardware, our inventory tracking was manual and unrelialbe, and our troubleshooting process often involved "best guesses" that resulted in massive shipping costs and unnecessary subcontractor visits.

Domotz has provided us with the elusive "Single Pane of Glass." It consolidated a fragmented bunch of tools (PowerBI, UISP, OVRC, various device GUIs, etc) into one streamlined interface. The impact on our onboarding and daily operations was immediate. We went from going into individual devices, to having rich, real-time data at our fingertips.
The data speaks for itself...since rolling out the Domotz pilot, we’ve seen astronomical improvements in our operational efficiency:

•	In 2025, we spent over $65k on shipping for service tickets. We discovered that 61% of returned assets were actually unused, a byproduct of precautionary shipping because we couldn't virtually troubleshoot. Domotz has already begun to eliminate this guesswork.

•	We have saved multiple subcontractor trips by identifying IP conflicts, ISP faults, actual root cause device issues (vs what we thought) instantly. Savings for us in ‘26are forecasted to be in excess of another $75k.

•	We used Domotz speedtest data to prove an ISP was underperforming at many of our clients. Correcting it improved SLA response time, and customer happiness, considerably

•	Yes I should Mac whitelist my devices, but I’m not there yet, and some idiot is always going to try to unplug my devices and plug theirs in. We’ve already been notified multiple times of unauthorized devices connected to our networks, allowing us to secure ports instantly.

•	The sheer volume of data Domotz pulls from thousands of endpoints is a goldmine for our operations. We are now ingesting this natively into our data lake to move beyond simple monitoring and into true predictive failure analysis. We are in the early stages of identifying trends and hardware fatigue before they result in a outage. On top of that, their new MCP tool looks to be absolutely amazing and we can’t wait to play with it more.

•	A bit of a repeat from above, but the most significant shift for our team has been moving from “educated guessing” to definitive root cause analysis. Before Domotz, we were often throwing hardware at a problem, shipping routers or switches just in case, because we couldn't see the full picture. Now, with corollary device data and history, we can instantly pinpoint the failures. This visibility has turned minutes/hours of tedious troubleshooting and log pulls into minutes of precise action, effectively ending the era of precautionary shipping and unnecessary subcontractor visits.

•	And, akin to the above point, before Domotz, a ticket would generate on our board via our legacy methods for a device/status issue. We would obviously have to monitor that ticket, and even if it “self-healed,” it would still take more than 7 minutes per ticket to document and close it out. But after connecting our PSA up to Domotz, with the native ability to close self-heal tickets, this has reduced ticket volume by 35%. At our scale, that is massive savings.

•	It’s not just the software…it’s the partnership...Domotz has shown a genuine commitment to our success, helping us build out custom integrations and even adjusting their development roadmap to ensure we remain versatile. Their Sales, Customer Support, Dev and Support teams are knowledgeable, quick to respond, understanding…amazing to work with.

•	Honestly, this saves me a couple of FTE's per year, so their pricing is more than fair for what I get.

If you are operating on archaic, or disjointed tools, you are losing money in shipping, labor, and downtime. Domotz has moved us from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-driven management. It is the single best investment we’ve made for our portfolio-wide rollout.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

There is very little to dislike, as the tool has solved nearly every visibility gap we had. If I had to pick something, the sheer volume of data and the depth of the feature set (like the new MCP tool) means there is a learning curve to ensure you are utilizing every "goldmine" of information available. It isn’t a "plug and play and forget it" tool if you want the full ROI, you need to be prepared to actually engage with the data it provides to see the massive financial benefits.

The only other CON I have is that new features/UI updates get released without much of a warning. I generally have to scramble a bit to update my procedures and/or train on new functionality.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm repeating myself here, but:

Domotz has solved our "multitude of tools" purgatory by consolidating a fragmented tech stack into a single, streamlined interface. Before implementation, we suffered from zero visibility into critical hardware, unreliable manual inventory tracking, and a troubleshooting process based on "best guesses."

Key Benefits & Problem Solving:

Elimination of "Precautionary Shipping": We previously spent over $65k annually on shipping, only to find that 61% of returned assets were unused. Domotz allows for virtual troubleshooting, eliminating the need to ship "just in case" hardware.

Reduced Field Costs: By identifying IP conflicts and ISP faults remotely, we have saved multiple subcontractor trips, with forecasted savings exceeding $75k for 2026.

Automated Ticket Management: Integrating our PSA with Domotz allowed for the auto-closing of "self-healing" tickets, reducing our overall ticket volume by 35%.

Security & Oversight: We are now alerted to unauthorized devices instantly, allowing us to secure ports immediately.

ISP Accountability: We use speedtest data to hold ISPs accountable for underperformance, which has directly improved our SLA response times and customer satisfaction.

Predictive Maintenance: We are moving from reactive firefighting to predictive failure analysis by ingesting Domotz's endpoint data into our data lake to identify hardware fatigue before outages occur.

Ultimately, Domotz has shifted our operations from educated guessing to definitive root cause analysis, saving us significant capital in shipping, labor, and downtime.

 ### 2. A powerful, MSP-friendly network monitoring and visibility platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob J. | Director, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

Domotz provides excellent real-time visibility into client networks with very little overhead. Deployment is quick and straightforward, and once in place it delivers immediate value through device discovery, monitoring, and alerting. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, making it simple for engineers to understand network layouts and identify issues quickly.

From an MSP perspective, the breadth of features is strong without being overly complex. SNMP monitoring, topology mapping, remote access, and integrations into our wider toolset all work well. Domotz is used frequently by our team, particularly for proactive monitoring and fault diagnosis, and it has become a core part of our day-to-day operations.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Some advanced configuration options and custom alerting require a bit of tuning to avoid noise, especially in more complex environments. Certain vendor-specific features could be expanded further, but Domotz continues to improve coverage and capabilities with regular updates.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domotz solves the challenge of gaining consistent visibility across diverse client networks. It replaces reactive troubleshooting with proactive monitoring, allowing us to detect issues before they impact users. This has reduced downtime, improved response times, and given us far better insight into what is happening on client networks without requiring intrusive tooling.

For the business, Domotz supports scalable service delivery by standardising network monitoring across customers, improving efficiency for engineers, and enhancing the overall quality of service we provide.

**Official Response from Destiny Bertucci:**

> Thank you for the detailed review and for sharing your experience. We are glad to hear that Domotz is delivering quick deployment, strong network visibility, and proactive monitoring that supports your day to day MSP operations.

It is great to know that features like device discovery, topology mapping, remote access, and integrations are helping your team diagnose issues faster and standardize service delivery across client networks.

We also appreciate your feedback on alert tuning and advanced configurations in more complex environments. We continue to expand vendor coverage and improve alert customization to make it easier to balance visibility with noise.

Thank you for trusting Domotz as part of your monitoring stack. We look forward to continuing to support your team as your operations scale.

 ### 3. My team actually uses it!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael A. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

It not a product with mid level resources that they are shying away from using unlike Auvik. They are compelled to use it more. The platform is definitely designed for much smaller businesses (i like) but I can see it scaling too.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

No API integration for configuration items. The PSA notifications contain really vague titles.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides an easy way to audit all devices on the network and manage the ones you want Domotz to monitor. I got the platform for several reasons:
1) No one was using Auvik. I couldn't justify the price.
2) We lost the introduction/notification and adoption of devices when switching from Datto RMM and Ninja. Domotz notifies us of those new rogue devices.
3) I did not feel we had a sense of what was going on in the environment until we made the switch.

**Official Response from Destiny Bertucci:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We are glad to hear that your team actively uses Domotz and that it has improved visibility and adoption compared to previous tools. Making the platform easy to use and valuable for smaller and growing MSPs, while still able to scale, is a core design goal for us.

We appreciate your feedback regarding API access for configuration items and PSA notification clarity. These are important areas, and we continue to invest in expanding integration capabilities and improving the usefulness of notifications to better support daily workflows.

It is great to hear that Domotz is helping you regain visibility, detect new or unauthorized devices, and better understand what is happening across your environments. Thank you for choosing Domotz and for taking the time to leave this review.

 ### 4. Domotz Software : Easy, Effective Network Monitoring

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

It stands out for its intuitive interface, rapid deployment, and robust feature set, making it a top choice for businesses looking for a smart, efficient way to manage their networks.

Domotz excels in onboarding. I can go from installation to full network scan within minutes. The agent can be deployed on various platforms ( I ve it on LINUX workstations )

Domotz's mobile appmirrors the web interface’s usability. I can perform essential tasks like rebooting devices, checking performance, or receiving alerts from anywhere, making remote management seamless.

I also provided the APP to a PROD users where they can monitoring when the PROD Machineries are up and running

I actually set custom alerts based on device status, network performance, or security events. Domotz also supports SNMP monitoring, NetFlow, and traffic analysis

Last but not least, one of its standout features is remote device access. Through Domotz, I can connect via RDP, SSH, Telnet, HTTP/HTTPS, or even use remote power cycling through compatible PDU integrations — all from a centralized dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

the grouping filter need to be improved
but nothing that can stop it to use it

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It make life easier
all of IT devices in one place
no more 100 different tools to be used
even RDP to each machine is SIMPLE

Domotz Customer Suppport is very efficient and proactive

 ### 5. Domotz a challenger

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filippos S. | IT-consultant but have roles like incident responder and more, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

- Ease of use, the GUI is very friendly and easy to navigate
- You can use software on Synology or use a Domotz physical device, either or very good for options.
- Customer support have been good to us.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Maybe not as feature packed with the different price plans that exist, maybe try to offer more for new customers and beginners in Domotz so it's a threshold in to upgrade later-on.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Device availability, trackability, and record keeping for incidents the fact that it shows what each devices have been experiencing and a timeline makes the effort for a tech ur domotz admin easier to retrieve data about nightly incidents or server degradations.

 ### 6. Exceptional tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

It gives instant insight into networks, the topology generator is great, and it's saved us some onsite visits. Incredible! For example, we shared a network diagram generated by Domotz with a corporate partner to answer their questions.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Not much to complain about, user roles could be more granular. Specifically there's one super admin and as a manager, I can't add/remove users in Domotz whereas our owner gives me a role to do this with our other MSP tools.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domotz has helped us to improve network network design and resolve complex VLAN issues. Gives us great remote troubleshooting abilities.

**Official Response from Destiny Bertucci:**

Alerting us on major devices going down, help us action faster

 ### 8. Domotz works amazing for monitoring network devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan E. | Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

Domotz alerts me when devices are down. The notifications are customizable.

It is seamless to log into the Domotz portal and see what devices are connected to what network port on a switch. This has been extremely useful when diagnosing an issue.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

I have not ran into something that Domotz doesn't offer.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issues I have ran into were getting notified when a device is down and where the device is located in the work. Domotz provides the exact network port where the device is located.

Domotz also does configuration backups on network switches. I dont worry about where I am going to keep backups. I am also able to power cycle PoE ports on switches.

**Official Response from Destiny Bertucci:**

> Thank you for the great review. We are glad to hear that Domotz is helping you quickly identify when devices go down, understand exactly where they are connected, and troubleshoot issues more efficiently.

It is great to see features like customizable alerts, switch port visibility, configuration backups, and PoE power cycling delivering real operational value in your day to day work. Those capabilities are core to helping teams reduce downtime and simplify network management.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for using Domotz to monitor and manage your network devices.

 ### 9. Great monitoring solution for smaller businesses.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris C. | IT Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

Since implementing Domotz, we have been able to be alerted on any asset that plugs into our network that hasn't already been categorized. This has allowed us to react quickly to determine if the asset is allowed.

One of my favorite features is the ability to easily tell which device is plugged into what switch port for faster troubleshooting. It also backs up our switch configurations and always for monitoring of changes in configs.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

The topology mapper is nice, but it can show inaccurate results at times.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest things is not knowing what's connected to your network. We are monitoring all of our VLANs and get alerted within seconds of a new device connected to our network. This allows IT to respond on whether or not it is a company owned asset.

We are also alerted when any switch configuration is changed and have automated backups.

**Official Response from Destiny Bertucci:**

> Thank you for the thoughtful review. We are glad to hear that Domotz is helping your team quickly identify new or uncategorized devices, improve network visibility, and speed up troubleshooting through clear switch port mapping and configuration backups.

We appreciate your feedback on the topology mapper. Network environments can be complex, and we continue to refine topology accuracy and edge case handling to improve reliability across different setups.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for using Domotz to support monitoring and security within your network.

 ### 10. Good product for the price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ed F. | Sr. Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

Domotz is a good for basic monitoring. The inventory scans of the network are thorough and provide a decent amount of management functionality. Setup was fairly easy and you can get the appliance for a reasonable price if you don't want to install an agent on any of your servers or PCs. The ability to mange devices form a web interface or SSH without having to use a VPN is nice. I do wish it had more device types like backup device, IPMI device or network controller. Does a nice job of finding devices on the network but I did find that it misidentifies IPMI interfaces on servers as a server (iDRAC, iLO and XClarity controllers). That being said, the price point is much less expensive than Auvik and if you are dealing with a lot of small and medium size businesses, will better fit their budget. When I did need to contact support, they were easy to reach and were very responsive. Integrates with out Halo app and was easy to configure. You will need to look closely at the devices discovered as it finds almost everything. All in a, a good product for the price.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

The dashboard needs to be a little more user friendly like it's main competitor, which in my opinion is Auvik. Having to create your own alerts was also a disadvantage compared to Auvik which has many built in alerts.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It easily helps me find devices on the network to help me update our documentation and inventory for our clients as I work for a managed service provider. Remote management of devices without having to use a VPN is also a plus

**Official Response from Destiny Bertucci:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are glad to hear that Domotz is providing strong network discovery, remote access without VPNs, responsive support, and solid value for small and mid sized business environments. It is also great to see Domotz helping you maintain accurate documentation and inventory across your client networks.

We appreciate your honest feedback on device identification, dashboard usability, and alert configuration. These areas matter a lot in day to day operations, and we continue to improve device classification, expand supported device types, and refine the dashboard and alerting experience based on input like yours.

Thank you again for sharing your experience and for choosing Domotz to support your MSP workflows.

 ### 11. Easy to Use Platfrom With Great Support

 ### 12. Domotz is an excellent product for remotely managing the health of your AV systems.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris V. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

What I really like about Domotz is how simple it is to use while still giving me a ton of useful features. The dashboard is super easy to navigate, and I get alerts right away if something on the network goes down. Being able to jump in and troubleshoot devices remotely is a huge time-saver, and it connects nicely with other tools I use. Overall, it just makes my life easier without costing as much as some of the other RMM options out there.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

What I don’t like about Domotz is that a few of the features feel a little limited compared to some of the bigger RMM tools. The mobile app doesn’t have everything the web dashboard does, and the reporting could definitely be more detailed with better historical data.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domotz is helping us stay on top of our clients’ AV systems by giving us real-time visibility and alerts when something goes offline or isn’t working the way it should. Instead of waiting for a client to notice an issue and call us, we can often spot and fix problems right away, sometimes even before they know there’s an issue. The ability to log in remotely saves us a ton of time and avoids unnecessary trips onsite, which means faster support for our clients and less downtime for their systems. Overall, it’s made our service more proactive, efficient, and reliable.

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

The Domotz device and Domotoz cloud service are great tools for our day to day operations. The endpoint allows us to know when a location is offline, if the public IP address changed or any other major incident.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

There are times were we get multiple false positives and the location is actually online.

I'm not a large corporation, but instead a residential householder, but with around 300 devices at home. I've been using Domotz for around 10 years ago and it never lets me down. **What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Would be great if they could link this to Control4 systems.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Residential home with extensive home control features (Control4) - lets me know if important devices have crashed etc.

 ### 24. The best service for remote control of objects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evgeniy K. | Head of the Department, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

We are an integrator company. For all projects, we almost constantly need monitoring of connected equipment. Previously, we used the usual methods of remote access. Now we have tried the Domotz service for the first time. It's just perfect. Not only is it easy to install, integrate and configure. Also it has a very user-friendly interface, so you can also give the customer access to some part so that he also sees the situation. Many features for monitoring. And the support is simply the best. They answer quickly, solve questions without endless approvals and letting in a circle.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

All is fine. I can't even minimally note anything

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When a customer says that he has problems with the network or the operation of some equipment, it turns out very quickly to understand the problem and solve it. It is also much easier and faster to make corrections and additions to the hardware settings

 ### 25. Domotz continues to work, several years later

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

Domotz helps me to immediately identify new devices on my network

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Sometimes, it takes a bit for new devices to be picked up. And multiple NIC's are more challenging to configure correctly. But otherwise, it is simple!

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to have devices drop off my network and I wouldn't realize it. Now, I get real-time emails and notifications through the app.

 ### 26. Domotz Is A Boss Tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arsenio R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

The MAP, honestly!
Very Geeky(to me), showing where my clients are on the map and indicating when something is wrong.
I can monitor different VLANs and get notified when a new device connects, but most importantly, the WAN interface performance.
I also like how it places icons for the devices discovered, like cameras, routers, printers, etc.
Even network Security! That's what I was missing with previous systems I've used in the past, I installed Domotz on one of my client's networks, and it immediately showed me the security issues, things I was unaware of.
I was able to resolve those issues thanks to Domotz!

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Sorry, I couldn't find any.
I'm well satisfied.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So I was looking for a network monitoring tool to monitor my client's networks on a UBUNTU 22.04.2 LTS machine.
I searched the store and found Domotz; I immediately installed it, and BAM! It blew my mind!
Now I can see when and if the WAN goes down, I can see if they connect new devices, and I can even manage them remotely!
I couldn't manage most devices remotely without a VPN to the internal network, but now I can! With Domotz!

 ### 27. An outstanding network monitoring tool!

Customizable alerts and many integrations.

Domotz offers an excellent mobile application.

Also, Domotz offers outstanding support! The response delay is extremely low, and that's a big plus! You generally get an answer within minutes! Incredible! Also, the support quality is excellent, and the people are very helpful and kind!

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

The only thing that comes to mind is that its price has gone up 2x since I started using it. The increase is not huge, but we don't like price increases.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me a perfect overview of my network and security.

 ### 28. The foundation for our remote maintenance packages

Fast to detect faults or devices dropping offline.

Speed Tests/Ping Tests/Network Topology/Shared Alerts and Notifications.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

It can seem expensive for some our sites that we monitor. However, it's miles ahead of free alternatives.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing devices fall offline before our clients do. We can then get on the front foot and service our clients, sometimes before they even notice.

 ### 29. Domotz is an easy to use full-featured network and server monitoring system

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

I could not find anything I disliked about Domotz.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring and managing all devices on your network.

 ### 30. Great Network visibility Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Markus R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

It was easy to Setup and Test it on Synologs Nas (top Free Trial),
Apps are also available for mobile devices (Android / iOS and more ) for Notifications and Daily Reports on network activity- Extremely comprehensive

Domotz tells me almost instantly if any of my devices are no longer on the network. I've identified failed/failing devices, access point dead spots, and wiring issues. Also have Full visibility on all my NAS Devices, VM’s, smart plugs, IP cameras, and more, without installing any agents on the clients.

Domotz has an amicable interface and guided me through all the necessary steps. Browsing (Scanning) the entire network is straightforward and creating monitors and alarms is super-guided.

Domotz offers fast and good support; with all technical or sales questions, I was always well-helped! 10/10

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Nothing, Domotz offers all the necessary functions for monitoring a network and all attached devices!

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Safe time to check all devices and Network Status. Also give TOP overview about the growing Network

 ### 31. An essential tool for rapid notifications of infrastructure problems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

I have the Domotz app installed on iOS and get notifications when parts of my infrastructure down. They come through within seconds, so I often know about issues before my users report them. Root cause analysis is simple using the device list in the app.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

The monitoring dashboards are only available on the Domotz Desktop and web apps. I can see the reason for this though - this type of detail is best suited for a bigger screen.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to quickly isolate issues and see which parts of the infrastructure are affected. The filtering is powerful and has quickly leads me to the root cause.

 ### 32. A powerful tool for an MSP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio D. | Tecnico informatico, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

The network map, which is an excellent feature for both remote and on site jobs. Another userful feature is the ability to monitor the devices and create custom alerts on ticketing systems, email, telegram and much more. It is very customizable.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Desktop app is a bit laggy when you manage many devices, and that's why I use mostly the web version.
One thing that could do better, is when a switch or network device is not fully supported. It could be noticed in a clearer way in my opinion. At the moment I try to update firmware and settings, but a clear advice would be useful.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing exactly which devices is connected on which port a switch is really helpful. It saves a lot of time and allows to help customers remotely when, without Domotz, it would be really difficult.
Monitoring dashboard is also a time saver feature: in example I can check all my Nas' devices to know if some of them are going out of free space.

 ### 33. Great Multi-Tenant Options, simplifies monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley B. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

Domotz helps me keep high-level health and status of all my customer networks and network-connected devices. I appreciate being able to mark some devices as important, which will notify me of issues when they occur so that I can react faster. This coupled with the regular update/improvement schedule, integrations that work with my RMM/PSA tools, and webinars showing me how to use their tool better, has made my business operate more smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

I wish there were more official, potentially paid training or certifications on the advanced features. There are some behind-the-scenes tools and scriptable capabilities that my team could better use if they did not have to learn from the grassroots.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Domotz, I was trying to accomplish the same type of monitoring with free, open source tools that require a lot more time to configure and maintain. When issues would come up, it would take significant effort to repair. With domotz, much of the work is done for me. My team has developed a process that we can quickly deploy and configure, and rarely do we need to perform any troubleshooting.

 ### 34. quick and easy setup, great support

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

they are still pretty new so few quirks with integrations but they are quick to address the issue if possible

**Recommendations to others considering Domotz:**

their support is very helpful if you have any issues

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

network monitoring was the key item, all in one dashboard to monitor the different network equipment with different clients

 ### 35. I have been using Domotz for 5+ years and it is amazing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jo H. | Program Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

Domotz is an amazing product. I began using it when I had a small consulting business and it was really useful to provide monitoring for devices and to see how many devices are on the network. The remote access was also very useful for quick fixes and reboots of routers and other devices.

But where it came into its own was when we were having a dispute with our ISP with regards to our ongoing connection speed. The sped test had been running for multiple years at the site that we were having an issue with degraded performance. I took the speed graphs and you could see a major step down in overall speed after a specific date. Our ISP said that there was no issue and no change in our speed. When we presented the graphed data where you could clearly see the step down in performance over a period of time, even with individual ups and downs. Once they saw this an investigation was performed and our speed was restored. Domotz paid for itself for a number of months just from this issue being solved.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

I dont really have any negatives. I did find that the network security did not work as I expected but I am fairly sure that this was my fault for not spending enough time on it. I have added the ubiquity integration to the dashboard but do not find this to be a significant benefit, but is not a negative either,

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

monitor of the network and devices a big one for us is the monitoring and logging of our internet speed so we can use this to see if we have performance issues with our isp.

 ### 36. Powerful monitoring suite which is easy to learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel O. | IT Specilist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

VPN connection with no other software or open ports required.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

The high cost of licensing can be a deterrent for some residential sites who do not find value in the whole feature set. Maybe an extremely low cost residential plan could be added for basic network device monitoring.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Piece of mind with daily emails with site reports for offline devices allowing us to quickly be aware of issues.

 ### 37. Great and Easy Monitoring Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Torsten D. | Senior Technical Sales Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

Domotz has a very friendly user-interface, it has a web-app and a mobile-app, both offering support for dark mode. It recognizes new devices immediately with sending a push notification to the mobile devices, so that in case of an unauthorized access the necessary steps can be taken. I am using the platform since 2016 and since then it has been continuously being enhanced with new features. Domotz also has a lot of integration into Microsoft Teams, Slack, Wehbooks, Telegram and many others. Even Node-Red has a compoment for Domotz. The Domotz agent can run on multiple platforms like Synology, Qnap, Raspberry Pi, Microsoft or you can simply use the Domotz Box as a hardware appliance. Next to the device list with lots of information being gathered automatically upon device recognition, a network topology is shown, the network performance is constantly measured and there is a wide variety of customs and default alerts that can be defined, next to a lot of different reports, that are available. Also the support does a really good job with precise and fast responses. So Domotz is the best tool, that can be used for all kind of different network monitoring.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Nothing, Domotz offers all necessary functions for monitoring a network.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives a precise overview on all devices on the network, important devices can be checked for being alive with push notifications if a device becomes unavailable.

 ### 38. Great program to just silent run in the background and give great insight to your network

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** IT L. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

A lot of information for a minimal cost has no to little impact on the network. Has a great mobile app for on the go

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

It can take some time to set up all integration and the notifications but once running will keep you up-to-date on any issues.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With over 250 items on the network over 3 sites, I know when something is down before the user does.

 ### 39. Network monitoring solution that meets all of my needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kerry R. | Director Technology Commercialization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Domotz?**

A full-featured monitoring system is just the tool we needed. Integration with the Ubiquiti network simplifies the management of the system. Highly recommended for the enthusiast.
The dashboard puts the most important data right in front of your face, but the ability to dive in and, in certain circumstances, power cycle equipment remotely is quite useful.
It is very easy to set up with a variety of options to install agents. Synology, Windows and Home Assistant are the major apps of my interest.
More complete device identification including Type including (Appliance, Camera, Custom Device, Desktop, Generic, Heating & Cooling, Home Automation, Lighting, Mobile, Network Equipment, Notebook, Printer & Fax, Smart Power Plug' Tablet, Voice Control and Wi-Fi).

Highest device detection on my network at 27 alive and 34 offline vs 26 alive and 2 offline for another program.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

I dislike that I was not aware of this program. I have found nothing to complain about.

**Recommendations to others considering Domotz:**

Feedback from Domotz for advice and clarification is quick and very effective

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My home network is overloaded with 2.4 GHz devices. I am using this tool along with VLANs and new hardware to improve my network performance.

 ### 40. Fantastic tool for support and remote access

Its been a great tool for remotely supporting our customers and helping troubleshoot networking related device issues

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domotz helps monitor client's networks. Agents are deployed easily which makes onboarding customers straight forward.

**What do you dislike about Domotz?**

Network outages trigger dozens of notifications and that can be a bit of a bear to work through.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Domotz to monitor vending machines for our shops. When the machines go down, Domotz alerts us and we can get them back up.

If i had to pick anything it would be the missing option to host the monitoring enviroment of a dedicated system.

**What problems is Domotz solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The port scan function offers a good starting point for security checks. The intuitive dashboard helps setup the locations in a fast way, and the plethora of options make it so that u dont have to add another product to be able to service different clients.
