"Dolby.io"

5/5

What do you like best about Dolby OptiView?

I am really impressed with the new real-time streaming latency, which is now almost instantaneous for global audiences. The spatial audio updates have become much more immersive, making virtual environments feel incredibly life-like. Additionally, the expanded documentation and SDK samples have made it even faster to deploy complex media features without a steep learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dolby OptiView?

Although the quality is unbeatable, the pricing structure can still be quite complex and expensive for small independent developers or early-stage startups. I also feel that the technical support response times could be improved, as it sometimes takes a while to get help with specific API integration issues. Lastly, while the documentation has improved, it would be great to see more beginner-friendly "low-code" tools to help those who aren't media processing experts get up and running even faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dolby OptiView solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Dolby.io is solving the challenge of delivering high-quality audio and video in real-time applications. It addresses issues like background noise, latency, poor streaming quality, and complicated media integrations. This benefits me by allowing me to create more immersive and reliable digital experiences—whether for meetings, media apps, or live events—without needing deep expertise in audio engineering." "Testing Dolby.io as a video conferencing solutions"

4/5

What do you like best about Dolby OptiView?

Dolby.io stands out in video conferencing due to its exceptional audio quality, low latency, and robust developer APIs. The noise suppression and spatial audio create a natural communication experience, which is a noticeable step up from most mainstream platforms.

That said, Dolby.io is a developer-first platform. It doesn’t provide a turnkey conferencing app, so building a complete end-user solution requires additional development effort. Pricing can also become a consideration at scale, and while documentation is solid, some advanced use cases could use more depth.

In short, Dolby.io is best suited for organizations that want to embed high-quality, customizable video conferencing into their products. For teams seeking a ready-to-use conferencing tool, alternatives like Zoom or Teams may be more appropriate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dolby OptiView?

What I dislike about Dolby.io is that it isn’t really a ready-to-use video conferencing tool. The audio quality is amazing, but you have to build your own app or interface around it, which takes time and technical skills. The pricing can also get expensive once usage scales, and while the docs are decent, I sometimes felt stuck figuring things out on my own. Video quality is good but not quite as bulletproof as the audio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dolby OptiView solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dolby.io is solving the problem of poor audio quality in video calls. Background noise, echo, and choppy sound are usually what make conferencing frustrating, but Dolby.io’s noise suppression and spatial audio make conversations much clearer and more natural. For me, that means less “Can you repeat that?” during meetings and a smoother experience overall. It’s also solving the challenge of building a customizable conferencing solution — instead of being locked into Zoom or Teams, I can integrate high-quality audio and video directly into my own app. The benefit is flexibility: I get to deliver a branded, reliable conferencing experience without sacrificing quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
