"DocuSeal Makes eSignatures Easy with Smooth Performance and Helpful AI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DocuSeal?

Purpose of using DocuSeal for me is to sent the Documents to clients for Signing it electronically and sending the copy of it for further processing of work.

The UI/UX design is very easy to navigate, and it’s free to work with. I also integrated it with my email, so any documents shared via DocuSeal are reflected back in my inbox, along with a copy of the shared documents. Performance-wise, it runs well and is very easy to use, with no lags or glitches.

The pricing is average and reasonable, so I’m comfortable continuing the subscription on a monthly basis. Support is good too, with timely replies whenever there are issues. The AI works great and helps cover things that might otherwise be missed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuSeal?

Sometimes it’s a hassle to guide clients through the document and help them fill in the details and sign it. Also, if I want to download the plain document from DocuSeal, I have to open the entire document first and then download it, instead of having an easier option to download it from outside. "Easy-to-Use, Affordable Tool with Fast Performance and Gmail Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuSeal?

The ease of use of the software and its UI. Most features are free to use, and plans are pretty affordable as well. I like that it integrates directly to my Gmail for easy email sending, and its quite a fast performing online tool. The accessibility is great, and support is readily available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuSeal?

I wish there were more number formats for the date options, as I typically use YYYY/MM/DD for documents, but can't select it as an option. It'd be nice if we could use custom formats for our documents! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Embedded Signing with DocuSeal—Easy API, Fair Pricing for Small Businesses"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuSeal?

The embedding capability is the standout feature for me. We built a pay-and-sign checkout flow for our junk removal business, and DocuSeal’s embedded signing lets customers review and sign the service agreement directly inside our own page—no redirects, no separate emails, and no leaving the flow. That keeps the experience seamless from quote acceptance to signature to payment, all under our brand. The API and documentation also made the integration straightforward, and the pricing feels fair for a small business Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuSeal?

None that I can think of at this time, the platform is great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Such an easy user experience with a UI that’s simple to navigate. It’s really fast and responsive, and it works well on both mobile and desktop. It makes it easy to add signature boxes, dates, and other fields to any PDF, with smooth, flawless interactions throughout. It’s also really cheap and nearly free, which is a huge plus.

Overall, it’s easy for everyone to use. I love using it whenever I can, and the EU/US compliance is reassuring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Accessible eSignatures - Better Than Paid Alternatives"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuSeal?

DocuSeal is easy and accessible. I use the free version, and find it BETTER than paid alternatives like Adobe. It is a great basic software that requires no download, and is user friendly both for me as the document creator and the signatories I send to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuSeal?

I haven't found many downsides - I think there is a limit to how many documents you can send on the free version, but I haven't come across that issue at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Straightforward, Full-Featured, and Affordable—Plus Self-Hostable"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuSeal?

The UI is straightforward to use, and the product feels genuinely full-featured. I haven’t run into any real trade-offs so far. It’s also much more affordable than the alternatives, and I like that it’s self-hostable if I decide I want to own the whole stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuSeal?

Honestly, it’s hard to dislike. The experience has been solid overall, and my only real note is a feature request: I’d love to see a built-in AI agent that can help me modify the documents I’ve added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Open-Source E-Sign Tool: Fast Setup, Easy Signing, Just Works"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuSeal?

It’s the best open-source tool I’ve used for both personal and business needs. It’s straightforward to set up and easy to use, and it integrates well with a variety of applications. It’s also fast, so even non-technical signers can complete the process without any trouble. Most people should be able to stick with the Free plan, but if you do need to pay for it, the pricing feels very reasonable. I’ve never run into any issues that required support. I’m also interested to see what useful AI features get added to further improve my document-signing workflows. I was able to get my first document signed within minutes of creating my account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuSeal?

Nothing. So far it's worked exactly as I've needed it too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DocuSeal Makes E-Signatures Simple, Flexible, and Transparent"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuSeal?

What I like most about DocuSeal is that it gives me a lot of control without making the process feel overly complicated. I can upload a PDF I created elsewhere, add and configure the fields, prefill information, and test what the recipient will see before sending anything. I also like receiving both the completed document and a certificate showing the signing history. Being open source matters a lot to me because it makes the platform more transparent and auditable, and it leaves open the possibility of self-hosting someday. It feels like a straightforward e-signature tool that doesn’t require me to give up flexibility or control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuSeal?

The main thing I still find unclear is when different actions will notify a recipient. For example, if I archive or delete a submission, change the title of a template, or make some other organizational change, it isn’t always obvious whether the recipient will receive an email or notice anything. I’d like each action to clearly say whether it will notify anyone before I confirm it. Better onboarding documentation or more guidance inside the interface would make me feel more confident managing documents without having to test every action first. "Affordable, User-Friendly, and Highly Recommended"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuSeal?

I appreciate that DocuSeal has a cleaner user experience than most small e-sign solutions, especially considering its affordable price point. It's compliant and meets all our data protection and security requirements, which makes it great for us and our clients. I also like that I can send signing links conveniently through text or WhatsApp. The ability to add layers of verification, like setting up MFA to get a code via text, is invaluable for ensuring that the e-sign is reliable if challenged in court. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuSeal?

I think the user interface is better compared to the entire industry, but there's more they could do to improve it. I don't think the envelope system that DocuSign uses is easy, but overall, I'd rank DocuSign above DocuSeal. There's a lot more DocuSeal could do from a UI standpoint, and then there'd be no question about which product to choose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
