"One-Pass PDF-to-JSON Workflow That Simplifies Data Entry"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuPipe?

The task I chose DocuPipe for was that of converting pdf’s containing scanned images into Microsoft Access tables. The pdf files contain the results of a graveyard survey – a list of graves with descriptions of the status of the headstone together with the inscriptions. Previously, I was using Adobe OCR to convert pdf’s to Microsoft Word and then using VBA to open a Word file and extract the inscriptions paragraph by paragraph. After editing the inscriptions to remove all the OCR glitches, I then went through manually compiling an Excel file index. The new system requires just one pass of the pdf to create a JSON format file. I then use VBA to process the JSON file assembling two Access tables of inscriptions and index. Much more straight-forward and more practical to hand over to someone else eventually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuPipe?

The dashboard is not intuitive. I sometimes find myself scratching my head as to the way forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stable, Robust, and Cost-Effective Data Extraction"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DocuPipe?

I find DocuPipe to be very stable and robust, offering high quality results across a large and varied corpus of documents. It's a fundamental part of our system, handling the "heavy lifting" data extraction part with the help of AI agents specifically for the MRO industry in aviation. The cost-effectiveness is another highlight for me. The team behind DocuPipe is incredibly responsive, providing valuable and fast answers to my questions, and they fix issues quickly. Setting it up was super simple, just taking a couple of hours, thanks to the great documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuPipe?

As far as I know, there’s no pay-as-you-go plan. The paid plans come with a monthly base fee, which small startups might not fully use at the beginning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Accuracy, Even with Difficult Handwritten Documents"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuPipe?

Most document-processing systems can handle clean, computer-generated tickets, but our real challenge is handwritten material. Some of our haul-off tickets are extremely messy and hard to decipher, even for people who work with them regularly. DocuPipe consistently converts these documents into accurate, structured data. It can also interpret the many different ways hauler names are handwritten and still match them correctly to the appropriate hauler. That capability is what truly sets DocuPipe apart from the other systems we’ve evaluated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuPipe?

The initial setup required substantial testing and refinement because our documents and business rules are unusually complex. Some exceptions still require human review, and credit usage must be monitored as our volume grows. However, once the process was properly configured, we have not experienced any significant issues with DocuPipe itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Straightforward API Integration and Flexible Schema-Based Document Workflows"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DocuPipe?

The API has been straightforward to integrate, and the schema-based workflow works well for documents with inconsistent layouts and handwritten fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuPipe?

The main drawback is that API usage can continue into overage by default, and the hard-cap setting is easy to miss. For automated workflows, more prominent spend controls and real-time anomaly alerts would help catch runaway jobs before they generate a large bill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful AI Extraction with an Easy-to-Edit Schema and Responsive Support"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuPipe?

The AI engine is extremely powerful. As soon as a document is uploaded, it immediately detects the fields of interest and allows them to be easily extracted.

The schema is clearly partitioned between attributes and instructions in NLP, and it is extremely easy to modify the schema as needed.

From all the schema changes I made, I never needed to go back to them; it immediately understood what the problem was that I had exposed to it.

The support is very responsive and the answers given are very detailed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuPipe?

Some areas for improvement:

- The ability to categorize uploaded documents in directories. There are certainly datasets, but directories would be a plus. The layout by table of standardisations and documents is not easy to manage when there are many lines.

- The ability to recover a schema or other deleted object.

- A history of the actions performed

- Be able to classify the standardisations carried out by date

- Maybe it was a lack of knowledge on my part, but I didn’t find the first instructions in NLP that allowed me to build the "Hevrat Hashmal Curtailment Report" scheme. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuPipe?

At the beginning, it was a little bit tricky to learn how to set it up correctly, but support solved this issue very promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Experience with Clear, Upfront Pricing"
5/5
What do you like best about DocuPipe?

Very intuitive and pricing in really clear and upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocuPipe?

After uploading and standardize my files the order of the now standardize files were not in the order of the file names used in the upload. This meant I had to be careful with the import to my spreadsheet. Was able to see the original file name once opened which was helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
