**What do you like best about Designcenter?**

It is user friendly and offers very good surfacing capabilities out of the box. Synchronis modeling is great. The integrated FEA and CFD bundles are great and the routing package is very nice with the deformable feature

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

Some of the bundles are not as integrated as I would like. For instance in pre-post some of the hot keys are not the same and the navigation is a bit off. Would be nice to have a more integrated bundle especially for pre-post

**What problems is Designcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The advanced surface items help me daily with creating a very nice smooth contoured surface without a million features.

**What do you like best about Designcenter?**

NX CAD is an excellent design tool yes, but the most valuable function for us is the materials analysis, this powerful tool gives us information about the structure and properties of the materials we use for our projects, this function allows us to simulate and predict the behavior of the materials we select for the elaboration of our work.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

NX CAD has been a tool of total support for us, I have nothing negative to comment.

**What do you like best about Designcenter?**

When you use the suite of Siemens products, for example, Teamcenter, Simcenter, etc., NX operates very well as being an all encompassing tool that can interact with other systems seamlessly. It seems as though NX is trying to be the "one stop shop" for designers, with Active Workspace tightly integrated.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

As an administrator, NX is a very heavy application which makes you have to fight to get enough storage space on your machine. For example, it takes up almost 40GB on some installs.

**What problems is Designcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NX is solving many problems, including mechanical design, having a strong constraint engine, and the tight integrations with Active Workspace and the Teamcenter BOM system. This is the biggest problem we have, working with BOM structures with a lot of variability, and NX does provide some tools to solve this problem.

**What do you like best about Designcenter?**

I like the structure of the commands and the way you can define your objects.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

Sometimes the functions are overcomplex and you dont get a good help for understanding what column, value and so on is for what.

**What problems is Designcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NX offers a lot different options for us to design our product. We try to develop fabric covers for our furniture in NX and we believe that NX is the right tool for it. It will need some improvement but the basis is there.

**What do you like best about Designcenter?**

NX CAD is a robust and powerful tool with the ability to produce highly accurate and detailed 3D rendered designs. I have used this tool for planning, design and visualization of company projects.

In addition, the platform is also super effective for working together with other team members by allowing file sharing with both them and the clients to ensure a satisfactory work.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

It can be a problem to integrate NX CAD with some operating systems, it is better to work on Windows only.

We can create efficient designs with precision and rendered details and 3D models, this allows us to plan and execute projects including substations and distribution.

We can design part and assembly the way we like with less constraint. I like synchronous modeling

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

Bugs and support from Siemens support is slow. When I fixed some major bug, Siemens takes 6 to 8 months to release patch and it create a major disruption.

For Example : I reported  a bug in NX2312 where bodies were missing when I export a strep file in May 2024. Siemens released patch in Nov 2024

We are using NX CAD to design consumer electronics products. It is a good tool and users love it.

This tool allows us to create our working systems in 3D, so we create our detailed designs, including the layout of equipment and piping, this facilitates the planning and forecasting of problems.

In addition, NX CAD allows multiple users to work on the same project in real time, which facilitates coomunication between team members and speeds up the time it takes to complete projects.

This software requires a significant investment to acquire its license.

Thanks to NX CAD we can identify and solve potential problems before we start doing the physical work, it also allows us to increase productivity by allowing multiple users to access and work on the same project in real time.

NX CAD is powerful and intuitive.  We hire a lot of new hires that have never used the software but have used other 3D CAD tools and it is quick to get them up to speed.  The command finder is very nice and  makes the transition easy.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

NX availability to students is not as nice as what SolidWorks offers.  I think this can be improved to get more interest and experience with the tool.

NX has always been cutting edge and allows our company to innovate.

NX is intuitive for design, more so than Catia or Creo.

I've upgraded NX 7 times and each upgrade is getting smoother.  Especially now with the 6 month cadence, it is much better than the NX upgrades before NX 10. 

Documentation has gotten way better.  Training is better.  The command finder and now AI improvements will help new users.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

NX CMM is clunky and not as efficient as it could be for our migration from Creo to NX.

Designed the Vulcan rocket over the last decade

This software allows you to generate three-dimensional objects accurately even if they are complicated, quickly and easily.

In addition, it offers modeling tools that allow users to work in intuitive global coordinate systems, create free surfaces and create complex parts with high accuracy and speed.

NX CAD has an ongoing cost, so it is sometimes a concern for the company when we have limited budget.

NX CAD has been very easy to use for most of the organization. The frequency of use is very high, similar to Teamcenter. The number of features and modules available is very high for all industries. And the integration with TC is a breeze.

Customer support is still stuck on OOTB functionalities working. And the implementation of customizations is tricky.

We design our products in NX CAD for most of our clients and the data transmission between us and the clients is seamless and smooth.

**What do you like best about Designcenter?**

NX software integration is the key factor for this software, saving a lot of time to do the same task on multiple platforms to get one model done. This makes work easier and saves time. Their high-quality rendering product provides excellent presentation. The availability of tools according to project requirements helps to work quickly and deliver the expected result with less effort. This platform provides good collaboration, helping me keep the client updated without extra effort and ensuring smooth coordination within the team. 
There isn’t enough training material available, which made it hard for me to learn the platform in the beginning. However, their customer support system is quite good and helped me a lot in that phase.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

There’s nothing major to dislike about the NX platform, but it is quite expensive, and I think they could improve the UI. Also, there isn’t enough training material available, which made it difficult for me to learn the platform in the beginning.

**What problems is Designcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps create complex designs of assemblies and product parts easily, which improves the quality of work. The PLM features help with coordination between the client and us. Additionally, multiple people from our side can access the same model, which helps deliver the product on time without affecting quality. The system can handle large files without crashing, saving a lot of time and effort. high-quality rendering and visualization tools help to create realistic presentations allows us to present effectively to the client

1. The connection with FEA: The performance predictor looks a great solution so the user doesn't have to create all the additional files in Pre/Post and it is great but still too simple and with the design space explorer it's not possible yet to consider more than one analysis at the time

As a long term user of NX, it is the backbone of our business and central to everything we do.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

New updates whilst adding some useful new features often cause new problems.  So we prefer to stick with a release version that is stable and dependable.

Problem solving in 3d CAD eliminates the need for prototyping, ensuing we design right first time

**What do you like best about Designcenter?**

NX CAD has completely changed my design experience. I like how its interface is so intuitive to get around complicated projects. Seamless data management is essential for collaboration, so the integration with software such as Teamcenter is achieved. Its advanced features of simulation and parametric modeling save you tons of time and allows us to validate the designs before moving to the production. The outcome of this has been much more accurate and much more efficient for our project.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

The only thing I wish was different with NX CAD is that it has a pretty long learning curve especially for greenhorn engineers. It can initially be quite an avalanche of information to process hence making the onboarding of new team members a difficult task. Further, the software may consume a lot of space on the pc and hence slow computers hinder productivity. I have also learnt to deal with odd bugs that require fixing and this is especially worse when the time is tight.

NX CAD solves many problems which are related to product design. From modeling to simulation we can also use it to test our designs before getting to the production phase. This capability has easily and greatly helped in minimizing the number of revisions we require hence saving time and other resources. Its integration tools provide ways with which members of a team can be put on to the same platform, thus helping to improve outcomes of projects.

2. Workflow enables creating features without necessarily having sketches.

Certain selection filters are displayed in the center while the main feature tab displayed on the side. Hard to keep track

For the tasks I work on NX CAD is not creating a big difference, but I believe it can handle large assembly files easily

NX is one of the best software packages you can use for solid modeling, surfacing, or any of your CAD needs. With additional partners to have an end to end software solution.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

The weakest part of NX is their drafting package, which isn't bad but there are easier options, such as their cheaper sibling software, Solid Edge.

**What problems is Designcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating complex aerospace surfaces and NX has been awesome for helping create these complex shapes.

NX CAD's 3D modeling capabilities are accurate, allowing us to create our wireless antenna designs, making our work more efficient and effective.

In addition, it has a wonderful radiation analysis function that allows us to predict the direction and radiation pattern of the signal that our antennas will emit.

**What do you dislike about Designcenter?**

Requires a lot of storage space to save the projects.

It allows us to create efficient designs, which predict the performance and behavior of the antennas in different environments and signal conditions, so we can evaluate if the antennas will work properly before installing them.
