**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

Dentrix is really helpful for booking appointments and is very user-friendly. It automatically updates notes efficiently and works well with other software. The pricing is affordable, and the support team is super helpful as well. It integrates quickly and can handle a heavy workload at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

Sometimes the app lags or even crashes when I open multiple windows at the same time, or when I’m submitting claims.

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dentrix has made it easier for me to check outstanding balances, review pending treatment, and verify insurance information.

Its pretty easy to use and if you do not know how to do something it is very easy to self teach

They do updates all the time that we wish they would leave alone. Usually just adds more steps to complete the same task.

It is an all in one practice management. Dentrix does scheduling, charting, billing, insurance, clinical notes, image integration and reports all in one system. You dont have to juggle multiple platforms.

The constant updates, and how they always seem to be on a Monday!!! I also wish reporting was a bit more user friendly and being able to have more options throughout it and more flexibility and customization.

Dentrix does all of the practice basics of scheduling and billing, but it also has a lot of metrics that are invaluable for me to keep a pulse on my practice.

There are so many features available that I feel we are only scratching the surface. There are many more functions I simply haven't had the time to explore or introduce to my team, even though they would likely be very useful.

It helps with straightforward tasks like organizing our daily schedule to align with our goals, which I find very important.

The ease of use with Dentrix is phenominal. All updates are easy to handle and to learn how to use dentrix is easy as well. There are a number of features that make dentrix the best software on the market. Whether it be the scheduling or the intergraton with other apps makes it stand out from the rest.

At the moment I have no issues with dentrix.

It helps with on site training, because it is so easy to use and there are so many videos on their website it cuts down the time for me to train new employees.

I like the fact that everything is in one platform to use for our patients. It integrates with other platforms to make business run smoother when we are trying to get noticed.

I don't like the fact that if you have a new employee and you want to get them trained, you have to actually pay for more training per hour and it's not included Service

We are finding that it is a little difficult to include x-rays when we are adding a new patient and then it count in the reports as a new patient. We are a specialty office and most of our patients have a referral.

Dentrix is very user-friendly. This makes training new users more accessible, and it tends to take less time to get accustomed to the program. The program is also very visually appealing, and easy to view different modules.

The downside of the software is that it felt very limited in the ability to make custom changes or additions. As a practice manager, customization is necessary for any program we use.

User-friendly, multiple ways to navigate the software. able to use the help feature or chat to ask questions or look up questions on how to find or perform tasks. Reports are easy to generate and use.

I dislike that if you accidentally delete a batched claim from the office manager it can not be found by using the batch unprocessed claims feature. The delete feature in the office manager lumps together printed and displayed itmes. It would be nice if the displays were separate so that you can delete printed ones without deleting the display claims you are working on.

Dentrix is a great software that enables us to be paperless.  The document center holds all scanned documents, and Dexis x-rays are integrated into Dentrix. File claims from within the software and not have to export them.  Dentrix e-central enables us to verify insurance for most insurance companies.

It makes verifying insurance & sending claims so easy & quick. Also makes dealing with rejected claims alot more managable & gives you all the info you need to speak to the insurance companies

When you add a new patient, if they already have an exisitng family member in the system you cannot connect them. You need to call have them deleted & re add them

Dentrix allows us to securely access patient and scheduling data from multiple offices on one platform and lets us minimize the need for any paper heath records

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

We are unable to customize certain features we were able to on the previous EHR, which isn't ideal but worth it for the trade-off of more accessibility 
It is expensive to buy and maintain yearly

**Recommendations to others considering Dentrix:**

I would recommend you consider your office needs and do a cost-to-benefit analysis.
If you only have one office and no need to securely access records outside of the office, Dentrix may be more than you need, and there are more cost-effective products 
But if you have multiple offices or other need to access patient records securely from multiple sites it is worth the investment

We are able to securely access patient information without being in the physical office, which is great both for when doctors temporarily move sites and for teleheath visits we have done over the past 2 years

It has pre-formatted reports so making reports was really easy.  It is very user-friendly even first-time users won't have a hard time with it.  It is a great fit for beginners.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

Our company didn't upgrade to the latest version so some of the features were not really updated.  If we did update, maybe I would have appreciated it more. The newer versions have better options for ledger printing.

Make sure you always upgrade to the newest version

We haven't used this product in a while so I have no idea what upgrades they have now.  I am sure though that they are coming up with new ideas to be more competetive.

The delay in updates and patch fixes.  1. Some items are available in the USA and not available in Canada.  2. Ledger screen and font is too small 3. reports are not extensive to the point where you can see ROI, NP production.

Sometimes you need the highest level of credentials to integrate. This is a secure setting, but sometimes makes the process of integrating take longer.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

Dentrix is a big company, so they have a thorough software that is fairly inclusive.  I like how easily it integrated with Dexis.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

I do not enjoy that Dentix is such a big company that they lose sight of the day-to-day customers.  I felt like the software was fine but is more cumbersome than other software systems such as Open Dental.

**Recommendations to others considering Dentrix:**

Support with Dentrix was not my favorite.  It was not easy to get scheduled with a tech. I believe that they are such a large company, that they do not need to focus as much on care or support.  This is unfortunate.  Yes, it is a fine system to use.  Of course, it is fine.  However, there are better systems such as Open Dental.  I ended up switching after 3 years of using Dentirx.  Again, my three years were fine while using Dentirx.  I just realized later that it wasn't as easy as I thought.

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was a way to organize patient data and charts.  Dentrix is one of the TOP systems to use in a dental office.  I started out with Dentrix but then ended up switching to Open Dental after using it for about 3 years.  I always thought is was easy to use once you got to know the layout of the system; however that thought changed after switching to Open Dental.  The layout of Open Dental is much easier to work with.

Dentrix is an industry staple.  When we hire most employees, they are already familiar with the product.  It's very intuitive and easy to manouever in.

Booking is super easy, and I love that there is a history of what has happened in an appointment (changes, cancellations, etc)

Turning off the program to go home there is no longer one aspect worth having

The sodtware glitches every update in huge ways, lost appointments, notes, money, its SLOW, so slow you will have patients walk out they cant wait for 10 minutes to get a quote, Insurance verification does not work. Each update to any platform related that Henry Shein owns only creates more problems. We are paying them to loose money. The arrogance of them to acknowledge this and tell you too bad.  The amount of lost time spent with the tech support is ridiculous, tech support passes you around because NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!! The software developers clearly do not test run anything we are victims of the testing. Additionally its layered and complicated and limited in what it can do. The ledgers are awful. So many better platforms. I work in 32 offices, only the Dentrix offices have these issues. Dentrix is a poorly written software, with no back up in tech support or customer service. They created cable tv style menus for things you should just get. Trying to ensure your paying for premium even though you want 1 thing in the 7. Better yet, none of the things work!!!! They say too bad and run your credit card. Join Dentrix Facebook see real time problems and reac real time national issues and the clear response from HS one reps which is always " its just you"; followed by your right its not just you; followed by i know nothing works, our techs are not trained. I know but too bad nothing we can do but take your money for stuff we cant and wint deliver! Do not do it!!!!

Avoid at all costs. There are so many better products ; the biggest tging to look for is customer service and quality tech support what good is a program not backed ; HS thinks to little of the consumer and to highly of their self importance in the dental undustry to think they need to back up their products. Their greed is destroying dental offices.

Loyal to power practice!  It's tough to switch brands.  Like going from coke to Pepsi!

Use Open Dental or another option that offers cheaper, easy to use software with multiple features. One the database with Dentrix is large, it's too hard to migrate and re-train staff.

The ease of appointment making.  The wide variety of functions that Dentrix affords the practice.

The fact that an update has to take the whole day.  The office has to be closed for that to happen.  This is very inconvenient.

The office is a paperless practice. This is highly convenient.  Not having to use any paper.  Able to sync with other software seamlessly.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

There are quite a few ways of completing tasks for different types of computer users. There are a lot of options for managing even the busiest of offices and streamlining digital processes. I love how customizable many of the features are, and it integrates well with third-party applications. The schedule itself lends many options for how each office works, particularly with checking patients in and indicating whether they are ready or not.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

Sometimes the features are too complicated. The new versions have made some of the organization of elements challenging to find and personalize. There aren't any good ways to streamline while working with multiple offices. Navigating claims and sorting them is also tricky. The recall section needs some serious revamping as the options are not user-friendly and much too complicated. The e-claims function is not worth the money compared to other outside claims submission options. Updates should be more user-friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Dentrix:**

Dentrix is my best experience with any dental software. It’s suitable for every private dental office, busy or slow.

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling is much easier with the different options for finding appointments as well as purging unneeded ones. Saving documents is easy, and we can maintain a chartless office.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

Dentrix is one of many dental softwares I have used and it is in my top 10! I like Dentrix because it is user friendly, easy to navigate, straight forward when it comes to clinical notes/booking dental appointments/reviewing the ledger/viewing what the patient is in for, and also it is the first dental software I was trained on in Dental Hygiene School back in 2012. The dental radiograph software , Dexis, is also quite easy to follow and connect.

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

After being able to try and see different softwares throughout my 9 years in the dental field,  Dentrix's dental charting needs to be updated. The color scheme/background is too dark, the icons are tiny and difficult to read, and the treatment planning/printing out the treatment planning is difficult to follow and read. There is also a part where you use to clock in and out and it just seems too messy/a lot of icons and pictures and not easy to follow , especially if you just want something basic. I think some cleaning up would help make the visual part of Dentrix better.

**Recommendations to others considering Dentrix:**

Try other softwares/demo other softwares, decipher what you really need for your office (is your office a small practice versus large? decipher how much you want to pay and the monthly fees/the updates etc.), and be open to trying not so "big" name brands.

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dentrix is easy to book appointments, easy to invoice your work, pretty straightforward when writing your clinical note and reviewing your daily schedule. It has some great benefits too it BUT it is not my personal favorite.

takes a very long time to implement suggested updates/changes that would improve user flow

utilize the training offered although it is quite expensive after purchasing the software.  
Stay on a monthly maintenance plan...this offers updates and support that will be needed.

I love how it can be color coordinated and i really like the icons that help identify the tabs.  not hard to learn and is very straight forward. we have had it for a few years and we are constantly learning how to do new things on this software. i love the technical support you get with dentrix you can do it by phone or through online chat, they make it convenient for anyone and are always so helpful. i also love how you can send insurance claim and they automatically batch for you saves soo much time and im all for saving as much time as i can. You can also sent text and email appointment reminders. 

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

im not big on the treatment planning section it is hard for our girls to navigate. and its hard for me adding and changing the way procedures are set up in the system. but over all i would have to say there are not too many things we dislike about the system.

any issues i have and cannot figure out i just contact dentrix support and they are quick and helpful with answering any questions or issues i may have. we typically do not have many issues with dentrix and if we do they always get solved the same day.

**What do you like best about Dentrix?**

Extremely happy with the G7 Dentrix update. It makes patient accessibility and office tasks move much quicker and more efficiently. New employees with no prior dental or Dentrix experience are able to view tutorials and catch on really quickly. 

**What do you dislike about Dentrix?**

There are a few minor features I wish they would add. One of which is the ability to attach insurance to a patient from a subscriber on another account. This prevents having to create duplicate accounts. 

**What problems is Dentrix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with a Dentrix training consultant now to optimize our software and make sure all employees are up to speed on the latest additions. Consultants have been EXTREMELY helpful in implementing new office protocols.
