My laptop arrived fully preconfigured on my first day. I didn’t have to install anything or chase down IT for VPN credentials or developer tools. Slack, VS Code, our internal CLI, everything was already set up the moment I opened the lid. I’ve onboarded at three companies before this, and it’s never been anywhere near this smooth.

Another thing I’ve noticed is the 24/7 support. I’m based in a time zone where our IT team is usually asleep, so when my trackpad started acting up, I opened a ticket through Deel and had a replacement device shipped within two days. The MDM policies seem to push updates at random times. I’ve had my machine restart mid-compile twice now because a security patch was forced through with no warning. As an end user, I don’t have any way to snooze or schedule these updates.
