# Which back office systems best manage working interest tracking and partner settlement billing processes?

Oh this is a genuinely specialized corner, working interest, revenue distribution and joint interest billing are oil-and-gas-specific, so generic accounting tools won't cut it. SSI is one of the dedicated O&G accounting platforms on G2 that's built for exactly this kind of back-office work. To be real though, this is a niche where G2 coverage is thin, the category is a mix of production, field and geoscience tools, and the big specialist names in JIB and working-interest accounting (think the Quorum, P2 and WolfePak side of the world) either sit in adjacent categories or have limited review presence, so you can't rely on ratings to rank them. I'd shortlist based on which vendors explicitly demo working-interest decks, AFE tracking and partner settlement billing for your operation, then check references hard. How many wells and partners are you settling across? That's what stresses these systems.
