"Reliable VDR with User-friendly Permissions & Roles Management at a very Competitive Price"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

The UI is easy to use for viewing and managing permissions and roles, so I always know exactly which documents each group or buyer can access. The pricing is also competitive, which makes it easier to convince a client to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

Integration: the integrations with Rogo is not as straightforward to use for me. Performance: sometimes the Compare PDF tool is glitchy and takes >10 minutes to run a comparison for simple PDFs AI solutions (BlueFlame) are too expensive for LMM / MM clients Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use, Fast Document Uploads, and Great Permissions Control"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

Honestly the platform is pretty easy to use and you dont need much training or anything. Uploading docs is fast and it keeps everything organized. The Q&A feature saves a lot of time instead of going back and forth on emails. Permissions are solid too you can control who sees what which matters when you are working on sensitive deals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

There is nothing major to complain about. Sometimes the search can be a bit slow when there are too many files but that is about it. Other than that the platform works well and gets the job done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Well-Organized Data Room That Streamlines Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

What I like most about Datasite Diligence is its secure document management, well-organized virtual data room, and easy collaboration features. It helps users handle large volumes of confidential documents, control access permissions, and find information efficiently. Overall, the platform makes document review and sharing more structured, which saves time and improves productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

One area for improvement is that Datasite diigence can take some time for new users to understand all of its features. Navigating large volumes of documents and managing permissions can also feel complex at times. A more intuitive interface, simpler navigation, and additional customization options would help make the overall user experience smoother and more efficient. "Blazing-Fast Deal Execution, Held Back by Rigid Folders and Pricing"
4/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I find Datasite Diligence a game changer for managing heavy corporate finance data and secure deal execution. I can stage large datasets and run due diligence without the usual system lag, and the bulk uploads are incredibly fast. I like the granular document-level permissions and real-time engagement analytics that show which financial schedules and documents buyers spend the most time on. That takes the guesswork out of negotiations. The centralized Q&A module cuts down email back-and-forth and makes complex due diligence more efficient. Keeping documents in one virtual data room also maintains the audit trails we need, and the platform handles oversight automatically. Setup was incredibly fast: we staged gigabytes of data on day one, mapped the index and permissions in under 48 hours without IT support, and the intuitive UI got our team up to speed almost immediately. The interface and bulk upload speeds were a significant upgrade, and Datasite Diligence speeds up our deal execution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

My biggest pain point is reorganizing folders mid-deal. The directory structure is rigid, so adjusting indexes once a project is live feels clunky. The mobile app is too limited for admin oversight, and I have to use a desktop to manage permissions or complex updates effectively. I’d also like the notifications improved: new upload emails aren’t split by folder, which makes it difficult to triage bulk document drops. The page-based pricing can also make budgeting unpredictable for document-heavy rooms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise-Grade Security with Streamlined, Modern Deal Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

What stands out most about Datasite Diligence is how effectively it blends high-level enterprise security with streamlined, modern deal management.

1) Granular Access Control & Security

2) Intuitive Document Management & Bulk Actions

3) Advanced Search & AI Integration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

Steep Pricing Model: Datasite is positioned as a premium, enterprise-grade solution, making it significantly more expensive than many competitors. This can make it cost-prohibitive for smaller businesses, startups, or firms handling lower-volume transactions

Complex Interface for Casual Users: Because of its deep feature set, granular permissioning, and robust audit capabilities, the learning curve can be steep. External reviewers, buyers, or occasional users often find the platform unintuitive to navigate without prior training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Organized, Secure Due Diligence with Strong Performance and Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

What I like most about Data site Diligence is its focus on making complex due-diligence processes more organized and secure. The platform brings documents, permissions, and transaction-related workflows into one place, which can make it easier for multiple stakeholders to collaborate while maintaining control over sensitive information. I also like the emphasis on intuitive document management and efficient access to information, which are particularly important when dealing with large volumes of files during a transaction. What stands out to me about Data site Diligence is the combination of strong performance, integrations, and the overall value it can provide for transaction teams. The platform is designed to handle large volumes of sensitive documents efficiently, while its integrations can help connect the data room with existing workflows and tools rather than requiring teams to work in isolation. I also see the pricing as reasonable for organizations that place a high value on secure document management, controlled access, and efficient due-diligence processes. The combination of performance, connectivity, and functionality makes it a compelling option for complex transactions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

One area that could be improved is the balance between customer support and the growing use of AI-driven features. While having responsive support is important for time-sensitive due-diligence processes, it would be useful to have more immediate self-service assistance for routine questions and troubleshooting. AI capabilities could also be expanded further to help with document discovery, summarization, categorization, and identifying relevant information across large data rooms. At the same time, these features need to remain accurate and transparent, particularly when dealing with confidential transaction information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Brit Boorman of Datasite Diligence

Hi Shoeb,

Thanks for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear that our security, performance, integrations, and document management are helping bring greater structure and efficiency to complex transactions.

We also appreciate your perspective on balancing responsive support with more self-service and AI-driven capabilities. In addition to our 24/7/365 Datasite Assist team, Lana, our in-app AI assistant, can help answer questions and connect you with additional support when needed. Lana is listed as "Chat" in the upper-right corner.

We're also continuing to expand how dealmakers can securely leverage AI throughout their workflows. Blueflame AI (https://www.datasite.com/en/resources/ai-at-datasite/blueflame-ai-assistant) helps users discover, navigate, and summarize deal content through natural language conversations, while Datasite MCP (https://www.datasite.com/en/resources/ai-at-datasite/datasite-mcp) enables secure connections between Datasite projects and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot - all while respecting Datasite permissions and access controls. This is in addition to our existing Summarize and Explain This (https://datasite.my.site.com/datasiteassist/s/article/Content-Viewer).

Thank you again for your detailed feedback and for being part of the Datasite community!

"Secure Deal Rooms, Stellar Support—With a Complex Permission Matrix"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I like the granular audit logs and engagement tracking, especially seeing page-level dwell time and document access history to understand what buyers and advisors are scrutinizing. The centralized, audit-ready data room, role-based access, dynamic watermarking, and native redaction help me manage sensitive documents securely. I also appreciate the responsive 24/7 support: specialists pick up quickly, resolve issues on the spot, and help keep late-night deadlines and deal work moving. Setup was straightforward and fast. Drag-and-drop ingestion preserved our folder hierarchy and auto-indexed everything, so we had a data room ready in under an hour without heavy IT involvement. I find Datasite Diligence reliable for complex transactions, where security, audit trails, and fast turnaround matter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

I find the permission matrix thorough, but it can feel complex and intimidating for first-time reviewers or guest users who are unfamiliar with its hierarchy. I’d like one-click role templates, clearer flags when inherited permissions clash with subfolder overrides, and a simpler setup wizard for standard deals. The enterprise pricing can also be tough to justify for smaller, lower-volume deals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Brit Boorman of Datasite Diligence

We're delighted to hear that Datasite Diligence's granular security controls, engagement analytics, and streamlined setup are helping you manage complex transactions with greater confidence and efficiency. "Intuitive Platform with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I like that Datasite Diligence is intuitive to use, especially when it comes to permission settings. It's really useful for having different permissions for multiple people in a data room while keeping everything confidential and watermarked. I also find that uploading all our files at once and controlling permission settings is a breeze. The redacting feature is also really easy to use, similar to Adobe Acrobat, allowing me to redact information all at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

The search functionality of Datasite Diligence is a bit of a letdown because it does not search within documents. If I'm looking for a specific word that might be in multiple files but not in the titles, it doesn't find it. This feature really needs an upgrade to be more comprehensive in its search capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Brit Boorman of Datasite Diligence

Hello Amber,

Thank you for taking the time to update your review and share more about your experience with Datasite Diligence. We're glad to hear that managing permissions, uploading documents, and redaction have made it easier to keep sensitive information secure throughout your projects.

We also appreciate your comments about search and would welcome the opportunity to help. Datasite Diligence supports searching across document names as well as content within files, and our 24/7/365 Datasite Assist team would be happy to help determine what may be preventing you from finding the results you expect. "Secure, Efficient and Manageable Due Diligence Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

I really like that Datasite Diligence combines security, organization, and efficiency in one platform. The secure environment for sharing, reviewing, and tracking documents gives me greater confidence and control. I find the centralized document management, strong access controls, and audit trail especially valuable because they ensure sensitive information is handled appropriately. The centralized document management makes finding, organizing, and reviewing information much easier without juggling multiple systems. I appreciate how access controls allow sensitive documents to be shared only with the right people based on their role in the transaction. Overall, I find that these features provide a secure, centralized environment for confidential deal documents, making the process much more secure and manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

There are a few areas where Datasite Diligence could be improved for me. I find that navigating through a large number of documents and folders can be time-consuming, so a more intuitive and streamlined interface would be helpful. Improving search and AI-assisted document review for quickly identifying relevant information across large data rooms would be valuable. Additionally, customization of workflows and reporting could make the platform more flexible for different transaction types and use cases. Finally, while the initial setup is straightforward, I did encounter a learning curve with some advanced settings and permissions, although this didn't require much technical support once understood. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
