As a solo photographer with almost five decades of judo photographs including ten Olympics, I have found Daminion to be the best cataloguing program I have ever used. Over the years, I have tried many options, including iView Media Pro, ACDSee, Lightroom, PhoTools, Phase One, and Media Pro. None of them can match the straightforwardness and speed that Daminion Pro offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would appreciate having a feature that allows for word autocompletion in captions, much like the system found in PhotoMechanic, which I rely on for importing images after a photoshoot and then include in the Daminion database/catalogue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like how Daminion is convenient for cataloging my personal archive of photos and videos. I have more than 25,000 files, and nowhere else have I found so many convenient features for attaching custom tags and using ready-made association templates. I also appreciate the functional interface without excess. It's very useful to have a floating window of recently attached tags, convenient switching between content display views, and a well-thought-out properties window. The functionality for creating sub-tags and tag groups is also impressive. The initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I still haven't figured out the backup process. When I press the button, it somehow redirects to the Daminion Articles website (I'm using version 6.7.0). I would like a proper backup functionality or instructions on how it should work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Out of the 9 Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions that we compared, we found Daminion to be the most user-friendly with a brilliant support team. It has all the features that our team requires, including an on-premises version, AI tagging, face recognition, and an efficient search engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are currently testing the latest version and have not encountered any flaws yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Software is easy to use and generates fast results in searching for Photos. I had the Standalone version up to now and uses mainly the search for keywords. The separation of the database and the actual mediafiles is a good idea. I like that the keywords are written directly in the media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Updates are sometimes buggy. A better quality control would be helpful in this case. I hope this will improve in the server version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Set up can be a little involved, not a simple one-click installation. Can be slow to add images to the catalog. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The handling is simple and intuitive.

After a very short settling-in period you get along very well.

Use only the server version. The standalone version is not maintained and has many bugs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like automatic version control.
