Anyone who uses multiple cloud infrastructure accounts will know that monitoring a complex portfolio quickly becomes difficult, and this is even more the case when you use more than one provider.
Cyscale is an exceptionally useful tool to ease this burden. Cyscale's simple UI, with very simple onboarding guides for 'connectors' (accounts) means you can see a dashboard of all the compliance and security issues and risks in your estate on one page - with the ability to drill down into detail as you need it.
At the click of a button, I was able to see where issues were - and remediate them with suggestions from the Cyscale platform and the insight it gives into where the root cause is. The sensible network maps it automatically draws helps you trace back an issue and tighten up your systems, and for those who have to report to seniors it provides sensible KPI trends automatically.
The tool has saved me at least a day a month when doing routine checks - I can see on one page what would normally take me hours to check, and having also set up a Slack webhook I get realtime alerts to any changes (and compliance trends) which complements the webhooks from the cloud providers too.
The team from Cyscale have also been stellar - not only have they guided me in the use of the tool, but also in rememdiation best practice - and have felt like we really are partners of them as they have taken onboard our feedback about how we actually use the tool.
For anyone interested in cloud infra security and governance I would say it is a must! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside, if it can be considered such, is that it defaults to having all controls 'on' - i.e. it starts from a position of paranoia. I understand why this makes sense as the default position, but it does take a bit of time to remove compliance standards and regions from your connectors.
That said, Cyscale are constantly updating their tool and with each release it gets easier! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
