## Cube Reviews
  ### 1. Excel-Native Powerhouse with Seamless Integrations and Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris K. | FP&A Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

I most appreciate the Cube is Excel-native. This allow me to work within an ecosystem that is familiar and powerful, while also leveraging Cube features such as fetching and publishing in tandem with Excel formulas, AI chatbot, and flexibility on the starting point for preparing reports. Integrations work seamlessly and support is highly responsive and knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

What I dislike most about Cube is the slight learning curve with the UI, especially in the sidebar and the web app. It feels like users with coding experience, or familiarity with other financial applications, will get up to speed faster than those whose experience is mainly limited to Excel or QuickBooks.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube helps solve the problems of clunky monthly processes and fully manual ad-hoc reporting. I really appreciate being able to start reports in different ways—manually, from the sidebar, or using AI—and then save ranges to automate parts of the process. It saves me time and stress, and it lets me refocus my energy on other important priorities.

  ### 2. Efficient tool that makes financial reporting much easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

It has made our monthly financial reporting process very efficient and it is very easy to understand underlying details of our financials with the AI assistant. Amanda has also been a great support contact and keeps us updated regularly on Cube's offerings and initatives.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

It would be nice if there was a way to refresh all Cube ranges at once. I have a P&L and Balance sheet pulled onto two separate tabs, and it would be great to refresh them both at the same time rather than separately

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube has made it very easy to digest our monthly financial performance. It is also very easy to find specific details that are driving performance

  ### 3. Seamless QuickBooks-to-Excel Integration makes all the difference

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

seamless integration with Quickbooks data, user experience is easy to follow, love the way that it works within Excel

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

A lot of focus on AI functionalities, which isn't a great fit for my specific company. Costs are rising as a result, but although we don't use the features still have to pay for it.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube has allowed my company to remain on Quickbooks for far longer than we could have without the tool. The way that Cube generates financial reporting data in a way that is consumable by management, finance, etc. is key. Also the reporting and data analysis that Cube facilitates is huge.

  ### 4. Great NetSuite/HRIS Integrations, but Needs More Granular Security Controls

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

integrations with NetSuite and HRIS are great

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

It lacks of security set up. For example, we want most of team members to see the consolidated P&L but not headcount planning details. However, if people have a view access, they can see everything.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can publish and retrieve data right in an excel file. Drilldown feature is very beneficial to explain a trend analysis.

  ### 5. Great Usability, Flexible Platform, and Helpful Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Cube?**

The usability is great, and the product is very flexible. Integrations with Claude...etc. are also very helpful and make it easier to get things done.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Adopting more sophisticated tools on the platform can be a bit challenging, and the learning curve feels steeper than expected.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data accessibility.

  ### 6. Pros and Cons of Data Analysis with Cube software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Other spreadsheets like Google spreadsheets and Microsoft excel mkes multiple mistakes with the updates and this is avoided through Cube software. Usually the manual inputs would take a lot of input energy and time. This labor energy is avoided as Cube can automate the manual inputs. Customer support is good for thee software and even though the company is new and still growing, the updates usually fix the small glitches.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Since the world is moving towards AI, I wish to see AI compability with the data using Cube. This would save a lot of time and make things easier for others. The implementation of data also is difficult because of the data transfer where Cube has 4 predefined custom dimentions and transfering them is complex.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data analysis of the big data files that I work with, it makes things easier for me

  ### 7. Very flexible platform with extremely helpful customer success support!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Really happy with the overall flexbility of the system, with ability to have transactional and operational data all in one place! As it is based in excel, it is easy to look at things in different ways to quickly analyze data or change the drivers of your forecast. The customer support and IT teams have been phenomenal, especially as it relates to the new dashboard feature. The team is always willing to look in to my particular use case for presenting data a certain way, and is quick to respond with the best way how to do it.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

There is no in depth training as every user's use case is slightly different. Needed outside help to implement to get fully up and running. Had to rebuild all forecast models in excel in a way that was compatible to load the data into Cube, which was more time consuming than anticipated. Additionally, formatting of reports does not save in Cube, so every time you go to fetch/build something from the system, you have to re-format or manually add new account to an existing report in excel. Gets trickly when business is constantly evolving/changing.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can spend a lot less time aggregating/organizing data and running financial reports out of our accounting system if new entries are made. This allows more time to focus on analyzing the business.

  ### 8. Great tool for FP&A

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Islam Q. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Cube?**

- Cube will facilitate the process of extracting the data on an excel sheet or google sheet with less effort with a particular preference

- It is a good tool to build a financial model for frequent reporting of the financials by only one click

- The customization of the dimensions (Tags) to extract a set of data in a single line

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

- More improvement in the acceleration of extracting the data needs to be consider constantly with a growing volume of data

- More automation tools to be implemented for planning process support

- Enhancing the visualization of the data ( It's already there but needs some improvement in the customization process)

- More effort to be considered in different currencies reporting

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing the time of reporting. Also, minimizing the process of extracting the data for the analysis

  ### 9. Great product.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

It really is a very useful product at it's core. Cube's excel and Netsuite integration makes month-end close reporting soooo much easier and has really helped to streamline a lot of our processes. The software allows you to import/play with different and granular cuts of data very well.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

It would be nice to see more Vendor level reporting capabilities.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining financial reporting by allowing netsuite/excel integration that allow us to create reports and pull/organize data very efficiently. This has allowed us to get deeper with our financial insights.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hello,

We appreciate you leaving feedback for our team. We're glad to hear that you've enjoyed your overall experience with Cube so far and we've been able to help streamline processes to make reporting easier. ### 10. Cube - FP&A system administrator & user review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charly R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Lots of great things to share about Cube! Firstly, the implementation support has been excellent - extremely helpful and knowledgeable technical advisors who have had a solution to every complex request we have had. Secondly, the ability to overlay Cube into our existing Excel forecasting models and management reporting has made it exactly the right tool for our business. Finally, the data integration capabilities are powerful and easy to use - it is most robust data integration between an FP&A system and ERP for actuals that I have ever been a part of.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Currently there is a lack of flexibility in the reporting in Excel. Retrieving data to produce reports is quick & accurate, but takes a lot of formatting to be presentable, especially to users outside of Finance. For example, when retrieve data, it shows all parents and children in the same column rather having the option to present these in a tabular format, unlike an Excel PivotTable. I haven't yet used the dashboard functionality in the Cube web portal which I expect would improve this, but given our wider business is reliant on excel, improvements to the reporting out of the Cube Excel add-on would be helpful.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is enabling us to have a reliable historical source of management information - a huge time-saver and helping us to focus on trend analysis. In addition, we are able to actualise our forecasts via a system rather than complicated, error-prone Excel formulas which opens up much deeper insight to our performance as a business.

  ### 11. Cube offers flexibility to FP&A

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

We just went through implementation, which was fast without much toubleshotting at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our group is still learning and building out templates and use-cases internally, but we have already have been getting value by getting to the data transactions details much faster than before. We are excited to build in the dashboard feature as well. The excel native platform allows for the learning curve to be quicker than some other competitor products.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I think there are some features that could be added that would be "quick wins" for Cube, possibly in the workforce planning upload (allow admins to do certain things versus call Support). The team though is receptive to the feedback, and we get a sense they are continuing to have design and process flow improvements all the time that will reach the end user quickly.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is allowing us to bring data to leaders easier and faster. We can provide transactional details much easier than before. The reporting package has just begun to change, with the speed of our delivery to internal stakeholders will be simplier with the refresh of data in already completed templates. Our budgeting/forecasting process will be easier with Cube given the structured design for us to follow and the "merging" of scernarios. The Cube dashboard will be great for even more summary view of dept leaders performance.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hey Paul,

Awesome that you were able to get up and running fast. Glad to hear that we've been able to help provide a new level of visibility to leaders, something our team sees as a crucial use case. Cherry on top is reading about your excitement on Cube's dashboards, keep us posted on how you are using them!

Preston, Customer Marketing @ Cube.

  ### 12. Efficient and Effective FP&A Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube improves the efficiency and customization of the day to day functions of FP&A. Using Cube, we've reduced the preparation time of recurring reporting immensely. Cube is highly customizable in both Google sheets and excel making it a versatile tool to enhance FP&A deliverables.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

In the year my Company has utilized Cube, we've experienced numerous issues with complete and accurate reporting. There have been multiple instances where the integration between Cube and our accounting system were not functioning properly rendering the capabilities of Cube unusable. The customer support team is very responsive, however these issues sometimes takes days to resolve.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube increases the efficiency and time involved with the daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis. Cube templates are highly customizable and can be used for various purposes, making the creation of unique financial reports streamlined. Cube removes the manual process of financial reporting and automates it.

  ### 13. A flexible, easy to use tool for our FP&A team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Once you understand how to manipulate the structure of the templates, pulling in the information you need in the correct layout is relatively simple. And with the ability to pull in multiple scenarios (forecast and actuals) allows for easy comparisons and variance analysis.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Due to the number of transactions each month, the tool sometimes times out when we try to upload the new month's transactions. And while this may not necessarily be a Cube issue (it could be a limitation of the ERP software we are connecting to), Cube automatically shuts off a setting that I cannot reset on my own, requiring that I reach out to Cube to turn back on. A minor issue, but annoying nonetheless when it happens repeatedly.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube helps streamline the data sources by allowing uploads from multiple external sources. Centralizing the data before we analyze it ensures we pull from a single source, and any issues can easily be traced back.

  ### 14. Great solution at a reasonable price!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

The product is relatively easy to use. The major benefit of Cube is the native gsheets/excel addon.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Not as powerful as some of the more expensive competitors.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking all our financial data out of Quickbooks and into our operating model for further analysis.

  ### 15. Saving time and adding value with a powerful tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonella S. | VP of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Being able to fetch data from the ERP to excel saves me so much time and effort. I no longer need to log in to the ERP, run a report, export the report, format it and copy and paste data into financial reports. Implementation was quick, and the software is easy to use. Customer support is helpful and responds quickly. Being able to customize within Cube to match our unique reporting needs is a plus. Being able to publish multiple scenarios streamlines our ability to analyze financials across different scenarios. Cube has allowed me to increase the volume of reporting to stakeholders providing even more visibility into company financials.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The time to import data from the ERP to Cube takes longer than I expected. It would be great if Cube was able to receive updates from the ERP in real-time which would also eliminate the need to import.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to regularly gather data from multiple sources saves time and makes the reporting process easier. Being able to seamlessly compare multiple scenarios allows for more insight and analysis into company performance.

  ### 16. Great excel add-in application

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tsubasa B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

+ Cube has a fairly intuitive connection with the Xero platform. It is easy to set up and the sync works well.
+ The data captured from our accounting system is then easily pulled into customizable excel packages allowing for automated, custom reporting.
+ There is a learning curve working with the add-in; however once you get used to it and set up your reporting templates - reporting can become as fast as a few clicks to update.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

+ Only downside for Cube is the lack of real-time updates from the accounting system. Currently data updates need to be sync'd manually into the main portal prior to updating using the add-in in excel. (Would be nice to be able to initiate this from the add-in as well)

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Custom financial reporting packages. Allows for us to get a more custom reporting package that the default Xero reports cannot accomplish.

  ### 17. Simple and intuitive, easy to use - has potential for more

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube provides an interactive, easy to use and simple interface to access and analyse financial data in a matter in which many finance professionals are familiar with - within Excel itself. Once it's set up, it works well in achieving its goal through simplicity and intuitive template building. It provides a great way to quickly update budgets, drill into detail from the underlying Cube data table, and data is easy to update (such as dimensions or mapping) or export raw data for analysis in external platforms.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Detail isn't as easily visible as it could be, as drilling int detail requires first creating a Cube template and then drilling into a specific value. While this simplicity is a key strength for high level updates or budgets, or even GL-level data, analysisng underlying transactional data using Cube isn't as effective as it could be. Cube should aim to implement the ability to query its data warehouse via external platforms such as Power BI or Tableau, which doesn't currently exist. Being able to query the Cube data via API, Odata feed etc would elevate the solution to a higher level, and would allow Cube to only provide value in Excel, but to be used as a warehouse solution as well, which would remove the need for software such as Snowflake in small or medium sized businesses. Currently to analyse Cube data in more granular detail requires exporting the data manually to the tool of choice. This is unfortuante as it seems Cube already has the tools and setup in place to act as a good warehouse tool - the customer has set up the dimensions, structures, queries and rules within Cube to create Excel Cubes, would be good if it could then be queried externally.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube provides an interactive, easy to use and simple interface to access and analyse financial data in a matter in which many finance professionals are familiar with - within Excel itself. Once it's set up, it works well in achieving its goal through simplicity and intuitive template building. ### 18. Cube FP&A Tool - Quick and Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Setup and Implementation was quick and easy to do. The templates are customizable and work well in Excel and Google Sheets, which is important as Google Sheets is our main collaboration tool within the team.

The intuitive flow is easy to grasp as well, you can publish data to different scenarios, and fetch to pre-created templates.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The processing speed of some of the fetches can take time. I believe they are working on improving the speed.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting of monthly actuals vs. plan. Streamline and automating our old manual processes of copy and pasting data from our accounting ERP.

  ### 19. Super Intuitive - perfect for FP&A in a business not ready to leave excel

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

The intuitive way you can leverage excel skills with one source of data.

Customer support is bets I've exeprienced in 3 FP&A system imlpementations.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Also, would like to be able to manage project tracking like rolling forecasts and budget in the system to have a summary of who has published, who is outstanding etc

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One source of truth and easy to implement across the business (not just finance) as can embed Cube data into current excel sheets.

  ### 20. Awesome product when it works.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

When it is performing at its best, Cube is truly excellent software. Our team has utilized it to streamline what we do and how we do it. The staff is courteous and professional and is always great to work with when we have needs.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The software has faced many issues and we have experienced prolonged load times and unknown errors that have caused many headaches. The support staff is great when this happens, and we almost always find a solution eventually. Still, it is frustrating when a simple process that has taken 10 minutes in the past takes two days to complete due to some underlying error.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Budget variance analysis, Automating ratio analysis, Monitoring performance, generally making it easier to communicate financial data to and retrieve budget information from company leadership.

**Official Response from Sarah Frazier:**

> Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Cube.

Our team is constantly looking to enhance the customer experience and feedback like yours helps us do just that.
We’ve made considerable performance investments in the platform and are committed to continued performance-enhancing improvements. Our new calculation engine, for example, has significantly improved import times, which should address the issues you mentioned here.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We are happy to discuss this with you further.

Sarah, Marketing @ Cube

  ### 21. Good so far, could be great with some additional capabilities!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

What I like the best about Cube is that it allows our team to continue living in Excel or Google Sheets while still having a good way of consolidating the data in a centralized location that we can access. It also negates the need to have multiple workbooks linked together with links that can break and lead to inaccurate data. Additionally, there really is no native language or system learning that you need to do like most of the other companies in this field because you are just using Excel. This means when hiring/training a new hire or anything like that on Cube, they are basically up and running and contributing in no time because they don't have to waste time learning the ins and outs of the system and how you need to maintain it from the back end.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The biggest hurdle/downside I have encountered with Cube is pulling the bottom-level detail data down from the Cube. When you just want to pull higher level reports like an Income Statement summary or how revenue performed over the course of the year, then Cube is great. It pulls all of those high-level pieces perfectly and makes for effortless reporting. However, currently, there is no way to pull the bottom-level detail that makes up a specific number straight from Cube into an organized list. You can pull the high level numbers and then drill into them to get the detail, but that also gives you the data in a weird format and is not very digestible to budget owner consumers.

For example if I wanted to pull down the Sales software costs that we planned for the year by month with all of the specific vendors and attributes that make up the expenses in the software account, I cannot currently do that. It only allows me to pull the total Software account and then have to drill into the time period you want the data for and then would have to pivot the drill down to get in a readable format. This makes it difficult to pull down the data, then make quick changes and load back up to Cube.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They seem to be very interested in customer feedback and their pain points so that they can address them. Their feedback tool shows how many customers are having the same issues so that it moves it up their queue. They are working on improving their reporting and dashboard capabilities, which is something we are interested in. To my knowledge though, I have not heard that they have been working on addressing my main concern around being able to pull the bottom level detail data straight from the cube, which I think is their biggest missing piece.

  ### 22. Simple and Useful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Pulling (or should I say Fetching) meaningful financial data across multiple intersections can be done much more efficiently now that we have Cube. Saves loads of time during month-end reporting and board presentations.

The Publish feature separates Cube from other financial reporting software. This is one of their most dynamic features as you can send data right from your own personal spreadsheet into Cube.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

It is a one-size-fits-all model, so if your business model is uber-complex or your company is constructed in a very decentralized manner, you may have some difficulty making Cube fit your needs. Also, it is a financial reporting tool, not great for financial modeling.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube is still a very young company that is evolving. They welcome any and all feedback regarding the product and the user interface. Customer service has been excellent in our experience thus far.

  ### 23. Great tool if your highest priorities are flexibility and ease of administration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Cube?**

The ease of implementation and administration is one of the biggest pros of Cube. The post-sales team at Cube was very hands-on and responsive during our implementation and beyond which made an often difficult process very manageable. And the ongoing administration of the tool is relatively light touch. The UX is intuitive which makes training and adoption efficient. And our small Finance team is able to effectively manage everything well.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I'd like to see new features rolled out more quickly: things like suppress zeroes and better aggregation calculations come to mind. There are small bugs as well that come up frequently - like needing to reinstall the Excel add-in every few weeks.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall I'm very satisfied with Cube. Our business changes constantly, so our reporting changes with it and Cube has helped us adapt effectively. We use it to report on monthly actuals, integrating financial and sales data from various other software tools. Cube and the process we've built around it have saved us many hours of manual work each month during Close.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Amazing feedback,

FYI - I am working with our product team to make our product release information more consistent and assessable. If you haven't already, ask your CSM for our knowledge base, they'll be living there soon!

Thank you again for the thoughtful review,

  ### 24. Painless and Fun Implementation & Usage

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Cube?**

One of my favorite parts of Cube was how quick and easy the implementation process was. We were up and running in less than a month after signing the contract and the team communicated with us the whole team. The training was super simple and our account manager is almost always available instantly to help us with whatever we need. I can actually sleep better at night knowing that all my information is correct and accurate and stored somewhere other than google drive. It has also helped me cut down immensely on the time to create a monthly report book.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

I would say the only downsides are that there is a limited number of dimensions your organization can have. As a nonprofit, we report on a lot of different areas and having more dimensions available to us could make things easier. On top of that, we show things at a very granular, detailed level in reports and having more dimensions would allow us to showcase these details more easily. It also can be a bit slow to run the imports from our accounting software Intacct to bring in actuals each month so I have to make sure I plan in advance to give 30 mins to an hour for the details to come through.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We mainly use Cube as a way to store our budget (and consistent budget updates) and to do our reporting. We were housing our budget on a google sheet before and there were always formula breaks, manual errors, no audit trail, etc. With the implementation of Cube, we are able to have one source of truth and sleep easier knowing that our budget is stored correctly. I love that we can store each budget update as a different scenario as well and therefore be able to see how it has changed throughout the year. We were also manually updating reports each month with our budget from google sheets and actuals from Intacct. Now having everything all together in Cube has cut down on report building by days!! We hope to soon start importing our international entities financials as well to be able to see the full scope of our organization all in one place.

  ### 25. Userfriendly and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erika B. | Senior Financial Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Cube?**

It is really flexible software with a very friendly interface. The platform gives you quick feedback according to the input you request.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

New features are on ongoing development and are not yet released, so this reduce a bit the usage satisfaction

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connection with google spreadsheet is the main benefit since this allows us a really easy sharing of each file

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hey Erika,

Will pass this feedback along to our product team. As a reminder, you can always submit feature requests via our knowledge base. I'm working with our support & product team to make our product updates more visible to our customers to make sure you are aware and take advantage of the latest and greatest.

Feel free to send me a note at preston.lam@cubesoftware.com if you have more suggestions.

  ### 26. Great for Lean FP&A Teams Looking to Automate Basic Processes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube enables FP&A teams to automate their reporting and forecasting processes while staying within the familiar confines of the spreadsheet. Cube also allows for customized data mapping.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

The Cube interface and workflows can be clunky at times. The lack of a "suppress zeroes" functionality can make more detailed fetches burdensome.

**Recommendations to others considering Cube:**

Cube is a cost-effective solution for a team that wants to own the reporting cube administration. It is an especially good solution for teams that want to continue leveraging Excel and/or Google Sheets in their processes.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed and reliability were major detriments to our monthly close and reporting process. Cube has allowed for faster, more refined reporting and enabled the team to pursue other analytical projects to support the business.

  ### 27. Cube will take your spreadsheets to another level

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zack M. | Director of FP&A, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Cube?**

The google sheets add on extension is really unique and extremely helpful. You no longer have to download CSV's from your Quickbooks as Cube brings in all the data you need with a click of a button. I also really love how you can publish data back to Cube and classify it under different scenarios. Makes forecasting much easier!

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

It's a little challenging in the beginning stages to understand how to use Cube. While they do a great job supplying you with an onboarding specialist that walks you though everything, I think it could stand to be a bit more intuitive.

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to get much smarter about budgeting and forecasting, and Cube is proving to be a really helpful tool in doing that. We can save different scenarios and look back and see which one was more accurate. I'm very much looking forward to diving deeper into the tool and really seeing what all it can do for us.

  ### 28. Overall a strong product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Cube makes financial reporting easy. You are able to export data from your accounting software through Cube in the format that you prefer. This is very helpful if you have multiple classes.

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

It can be time consuming to setup the reports and takes some time to pull the information from Cube.

**Recommendations to others considering Cube:**

Cube is worth taking a look at if you are searching for a Financial Reporting or FP&A Software

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube helps us customize reports and update the information each month in the format that we prefer.

  ### 29. Great for growing companies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Very user friendly, cheaper than a Hyperion or Workday, has 99% of the same capabilities, great people at Cube

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

There is no drilldown feature which is a problem, takes much longer to set up sheets with low level accounts

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didnt have a FP&A tool prior making reporting nearly impossible, Cube is basically as good as an expensive tool like Hyperion

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Love this feedback, have you logged the specific drilldown capabilities you are looking for via our knowledge base?

Would love to learn more about how you're using Cube! Feel free to send me a note if you ever had more suggestions at preston.lam@cubesoftware.com.

Best,
Preston - Customer Marketing @ Cube

  ### 30. Cube:modern FP&A software for quick Planning and Budgeting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Cube?**

Friendly interface and good UX experience, Connection with Google Spreadsheet

**What do you dislike about Cube?**

Many new features still need to be released and this penalizes the Software overall rating

**What problems is Cube solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cube software is driving faster insights for planning, budgeting, and reporting. Integration with Netsuite and Connection with Google Spreadsheet is the best benefits.

**Official Response from Preston Lam:**

> Hey there!
