It is mostly intuitive. It is more forgiving than other software in correcting mistakes. It is expensive, but we need robust and reliable accounting software. I really find CosmoLex helpful from day one. It helps me to organize my clients, their data, and bookkeeping, especially accounting for the end of the year and conflict checks. I have encountered a lot of bugs and issues with CosmoLex. While I've raised complaints and most have been addressed quickly, there are still some software glitches that the technical team is working on. The feature that I find most attractive in CosmoLex is that it integrates practice management, billing, accounting, and document management all within one software system. A point of dislike regarding CosmoLex is that the program is rather cluttered since so much functionality exists within one system, making navigation through such functions as billing, accounting, and matter management quite difficult.

Another point of dislike is that certain processes may involve several clicks, which slows down routine activities. Reporting functionality should also be customized more, as sometimes the view of reports does not fit specific needs of certain users.

I really like the trust accounting feature in CosmoLex. I can reconcile all of my bank statements, including my trust account, within about two minutes per account because it's easy, straightforward, and just really well thought out. It has really helped improve my workflow for completing tasks, especially when it comes to drafting and managing precedents. I also find it very reasonable in terms of price point. I guess my worry is that increasingly I don't want to 'over engineer' our practice by being too reliant on integrated tools. Everything is in one place, which makes it easy to access client information, billing, and calendar details. The Client Portal also lets clients view their own information, so they stop calling about logistics like court dates and times. I really appreciate how CosmoLex helps save my time through the automation of practice management and file management. It also assists with bookkeeping, but what I like the most is that it keeps everything up to date. They regularly release new features, and I value their ongoing support from the tech team. The introduction of the open API was particularly helpful for automation. I also enjoy the integration with tools like Gmail. The setup was pretty easy when they first launched, and even though it has more features now, there's a supportive team available.
