"A True Extension of Our Security Team"
5/5
What do you like best about Coretek - CoreDefend?

What I like best is the people behind the platform. The Coretek SOC team knows the security stack well, and it shows in how quickly they investigate and how clearly they explain what happened and what we need to do. We don’t get a flood of tickets with no context. We get actionable findings and a recommended next step.

I also appreciate how collaborative they are. They work like an extension of our IT team, with regular check-ins, monthly reporting, and a dedicated point of contact. They’re responsive when we have questions or need a change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coretek - CoreDefend?

Onboarding took longer than expected. Tuning the detections and dialing in alerting for our environment took a few weeks, and early on we saw more noise than we do now. Once that settled, the service has been excellent, but new customers should plan for a ramp-up period.

The service is strongest in Microsoft-heavy environments. CoreDefend can handle many integrations, but if you run a lot of non-Microsoft tools, ask upfront how they will be covered and integrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Straightforward, Centralized Hub for Complex Security Needs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Coretek - CoreDefend?

The centralization of services and functionality is the best part. It’s not so much a single pane of glass as it is a single, referenceable location that I can expand on and drill into whenever I need to. For me, it’s a straightforward answer to a complex question. What do you dislike about Coretek - CoreDefend?

I can’t say I’ve had any negative experiences with it to date. That said, I do have a lingering concern—possibly unfounded—about the centralization of security services through third parties. It’s more a reflection on the direction the industry seems to be heading than a criticism of how well this service works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Multi-Channel Alerts That Ensure We Never Miss a Notification"
5/5
What do you like best about Coretek - CoreDefend?

They reach out through multiple pathways to make sure we see the alert. If it was just in a closed system, we may not see until later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coretek - CoreDefend?

Nothing that I have come across, it works as we need since we have a rather simple system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coretek - CoreDefend?

There are some process challenges with hand off between CoreDefend analysts and our internal teams for actions they can't process or don't have purview over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Peace of Mind: Coretek Alerts Are Already Being Handled"
5/5
What do you like best about Coretek - CoreDefend?

It’s reassuring to know that when I see an alert, Coretek is already taking action or has already resolved the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coretek - CoreDefend?

Coretek doesn’t know our environment as deeply as our internal team does, nor should they be expected to. With time, they’ll learn it better. This is inherent to working with any external vendor and isn’t specific to Coretek. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
