While we've always felt great about our security, as we grew we needed to move forward with compliance certifications which was new to us. We weren't impressed with the "compliance as a service" tools out there and wanted something that was more than a box check. Compyl was the perfect choice for us. We have been with them for years and they've not only helped us obtain our certifications, but have also really explained the processes and what they *really* mean. We consider Compyl to be our compliance department and they're always there to help us get through information requests and to advise us as we expand globally. They have and offer a unique perpective in that sense, and it shows in the solutions. Separately they are an amazing company to partner with. They make implementation as easy as can be and will be as involved in helping you as you need them to be so that it is more than just a tool, it's actually helping build your security program. The recent update to their interface is amazing, they applied feedback that we have shared as customers and really care about making the product easy to use. The Customer Support from the team has been amazing, any time we needed something and is why we really feel like it's a partnership more than just a product. **What do you dislike about Compyl?** I had some struggles earlier on with the Document Template area of the tool, but the recent update has addressed it. Other than that, there really weren't downsides that I had to the product, and any time I have had an issue, the team works to resolve it rapidly and are amazing at communicating that with me. **What problems is Compyl solving and how is that benefiting you?** Getting the manual processes and spreadsheet tracking out of my day to day life. From the start, Compyl impressed me with its modern interface, which is both intuitive and aesthetically pleasing. This platform was clearly designed with the end-user in mind, as it offers a seamless navigation experience unlike any other GRC software I've used in recent years. **What do you dislike about Compyl?** My background is in information security, specifically in the financial service industry so I have a depth of knowledge when it comes to governance, risk and compliance. I would say for some users that are just looking for a quick SOC 2 or are not that focused on security, wouldn't get the most out of Compyl. Their customer support team is amazing, and has always been ready to address any issues that I have had as quickly as possible. Whenever we have come across an issue or had questions, the Compyl team quickly responded and guided us through it. **What problems is Compyl solving and how is that benefiting you?** Entitlement reviews were a real issue for us. We had no idea who had access to what. This was less of a problem in years past, but after we experienced some major growth post-COVID, our teams grew, and we felt susceptible to various issues that this could lead to. We have had a goal as an organization to align with NIST CSF, and now with Compyl, we finally have the tooling needed to make this happen efficiently. Due to our efforts to align with NIST CSF, we can also align with ISO 27001 because of the framework mapping capabilities. We have looked at other tooling but were never interested in the check box methods of security. We need robust security at all times, which Compyl can do for us. The topics of compliance and security are now communicated with more clarity across multiple departments in our organization. **What do you dislike about Compyl?** There is not much I have found to be much of an issue at this time. I would say there was a learning curve and some training that went into the onboarding process. Coordinating schedules to make sure all departments were trained was a bit challenging. **What problems is Compyl solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were using another enterprise GRC tool, but the functionality was nowhere near what Compyl offers us. Having our entire risk and compliance program in a single location has brought clarity to our organization that we have never had. We have been creating quarterly risk reports that show us the progress we have made quarter on quarter. I have seen a lot of GRC and Information security tools but never have seen this type of reporting. Very powerful. ### 28. Multiple tasks need to be carried out monthly, and even with our compliance manager as the dedicated resource, it still requires support to manage this workload. While other tools have some of the capabilities of Compyl, I am blown away by how quickly we were able to get our environment stood up. Other clunky GRC tools require a lengthy implementation, and you need a dedicated resource to manage the workflows. With Compyl, they took all the functionality necessary for an enterprise-level risk management program. **What do you dislike about Compyl?** I brought Compyl on for risk management but understand they have far more capabilities than just that. I haven't worked with the complete tool, but the UI/UX could use some improvements so far. **What problems is Compyl solving and how is that benefiting you?** I came from an organization that used legacy GRC tooling and was so heavily invested that we would never be able to transition to another solution. In my new role, I wanted to get away from resource-heavy tooling and find a solution that offered us all the functionality we needed but was way less resource-dependent. The complete audit trail that Compyl stores of our compliance has become an essential part of the evidence we provide during our SOC 2 audit, avoiding weeks of work responding to requests for samples and collecting screenshots. Notifications are sent as soon as changes are detected, which has allowed us to replace other systems for monitoring and alerting. We previously found that many tools start bottom-up, with noisy integrations that alert on activity that just doesn't matter. I like the API function & although only used it for Active Directory, SCCM for asset management & Have i been pwned, there are several other APIs I'd like to investigate. The risk register and the data linkages make it easy to engage everyone within the business for risk management & accountability. I have used the ISMS component to collect & consolidate artifacts prior to auditing. It tells me when to complete tasks before they are due & completes a portion of those tasks automatically. **What do you dislike about Compyl?** Having only touching the surface of what the tool is capable of there is a lot of hidden functionality that I'm yet to explore, overall there isnt much to dislike as the team are constantly improving the app and adding functionality. **What problems is Compyl solving and how is that benefiting you?** The application is a consolidated group of tools, basically a 1 stop shop which allows us to have all of our data in 1 spot. The recent release had significant UI improvements, and we have been told they will continue to improve the usability.
