Collaboard offers all the functionality that you would like a whiteboard to have (Disclaimer: I am using it in higher ed - other contexts may of course require something else). It is straightforward to express thoughts with pictures and text. You can browse many internet pictures for internal use, import them easily, add backgrounds, tag boards, etc. So I can create a library of "concepts" that is easier and faster to learn than if it was just "text notes."
