Who is Cofactr pricing best suited for?

Cofactr's pricing is best suited for small hardware and electronics teams managing complex, multi-supplier procurement without dedicated procurement staff. All G2 reviewers are from small businesses with 50 or fewer employees, spanning telecommunications, defense and space, and electronics manufacturing. G2 reviewers consistently highlight value in managing electronic component BOMs, coordinating orders across multiple suppliers, and offloading kitting, shipping, and receiving — use cases that align directly with lean teams handling prototype builds or low-to-mid volume production. The pay-as-you-go model makes Cofactr's pricing particularly accessible for growing hardware teams not ready for long-term procurement software commitments.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Cofactr?

Cofactr's pricing structure on G2 shows a single Pay As You Go tier that is free to start — no upfront cost, no subscription fee. Teams access the full Cofactr platform with unlimited users, multi-supplier quoting, purchase order management, real-time inventory visibility, and basic CSV integrations at no charge. Costs only apply when placing managed orders, at a 7.5% service fee. G2's pricing data for Cofactr also notes custom enterprise quotes are available for teams with more complex needs. There is no locked-down free trial; the free entry point provides full platform functionality, with fees tied directly to procurement volume.

Is Cofactr considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers rate Cofactr at 4.5–5.0/5, signaling strong satisfaction relative to its pricing structure. The pay-as-you-go model — free platform access with a 7.5% service fee on managed orders — means teams pay only when transacting, reducing upfront risk. G2 users highlight time savings across multi-supplier ordering, kitting, shipping, and receiving as core value drivers, with one reviewer noting it eliminates what would otherwise be a full-time job. The main value concern noted in G2 reviews of Cofactr is occasional pricing gaps versus outside suppliers, suggesting Cofactr's pricing is best justified by operational savings rather than lowest unit cost alone.

"Streamlined Component Management with Easy Ordering"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Cofactr?

I like that Cofactr makes it easy for me to manage electronic components and handle complex bill of materials for printed circuit board assemblies and electrical products. It allows me to order very quickly once the source is set up, simulating demand like an ERP just for components. I really appreciate that managing components gives me a handle on long lead time parts and helps with prototype builds. The one-click purchasing feature is very convenient, as Cofactr goes out to dozens of suppliers and manages the complexity of numerous orders. The program's feature for structuring a high-level BOM makes it easy to do a purchasing BOM without creating a specific bill of materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cofactr?

Sometimes Cofactr doesn't have the best price, so I've had to buy outside of it a handful of times. It also doesn't easily support other catalog items, like fittings or mechanical parts, as well as it does electrical parts. I wish they would include items from catalog services like McMaster-Carr, Newark, or Granger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cofactr solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Cofactr to manage electronic components, allowing me to order quickly and manage BOMs and purchasing programs. It simplifies ordering from multiple suppliers with a click and helps in simulating demand for prototype builds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Dani Ross of Cofactr

[Editedit](https://www.g2.com/survey_responses/cofactr-review-12481027/official_response/edit)

Thanks for the honest review, Steve—we really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It’s great to hear Cofactr is helping streamline your component management, and we value the candid feedback on pricing and catalog coverage—that kind of input helps us keep improving.

Good news! We already support McMaster and Newark, and Grainger is on the roadmap. Expanding into more mechanical and MRO parts is a big focus for us. If you’re open to it, we’d love to connect and make sure you’re getting the most out of those integrations. Thanks again for being part of the Cofactr community!
