They are usually fulltime engineers that are moonlighting a couple hours a night. **What do you dislike about Codementor?** Plan on going ghrough a few duds before you find a super person. Pair programming works best to separate the pretenders from the experts. **What problems is Codementor solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we need specific expertise or need to accelerate a project we turn to CodeMentor first. ### 2. Excellent platform for coding assistance and freelance projects. **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Saurabh G. | Senior iOS Developer (Remote), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021 **What do you like best about Codementor?** - Live coding sessions with professional mentors. - Freelance project opportunities. - Vetted mentorship. - Competitive rates among mentors. - Global community of mentors. - Blog posts by mentors. - A lot of new features being added time to time to increase user engagement. **What do you dislike about Codementor?** - Initial session with a mentor needs a lot of things to set up for mentees - one must set up a payment account/card, zoom, raising session/freelance request etc. - First live coding session is confusing for most of the mentees as they don't know how to use the platform. - Platform commission is on the higher side from the mentor perspective - up to 22%. **What problems is Codementor solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am a mentor on Codementor, and at the same time I use Codementor as mentee as and when required. - As a mentor I am able to build a strong profile, good client base and good network of professionals. - I am earning good here doing part time freelance projects and live coding sessions. - I am learning same time because as a mentor I must keep myself upto dated with the latest technologies and client needs. - As a mentee, I can look for help anytime with other mentors. ### 4. Communication was easy using the zoom platform. The pricing was fair. **What do you dislike about Codementor?** It was a little hard to get the hang of the system -- to control when billing started and stopped. **What problems is Codementor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were trying to design server architecture and were able to connect with an expert to help us in our design. ### 5. It **What do you dislike about Codementor?** One feature i disliked was it requires high internet connection speed for sharing screen with mentors. **What problems is Codementor solving and how is that benefiting you?** If personally i have some problem with code lets say my code is not working, its buggy , i would show the code to codementor by screen sharing, video or text chat. The mentors would solve my problem by debugging the code and also fixing it. Furthermore, the mentors would also explain your mistake in order to avoid it in future. ### 6.
