One of the most vital features (requesting resources in a quick turnover time) is locked to the highest subscription, which might be difficult for some people/companies to pay for as it can be a bit pricey if you want this subscription plus more project space. Keep this in mind and try to get as many people involved in the company so the higher subscription has better value for your company! **What problems is cmBuilder.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** CMBuilder is making meetings easier and helps people communicate better with each other thanks to seeing things in 3D. Visually, people understand 3D easier than a markup to every type of person on the job. We have been able to problem solve issues with some of the markups we could have missed in real life along with discuss important ideas we hadn't thought of thanks to being able to see the environment in a new way. Clients enjoy the visual aid in presentations and discussions as well. Things can be changed on the fly and CMBuilder makes it easy to develop these aspects of the job. ### 2. I have used it in precontract tender planning and sequencing, traffic management and logistical plans, and for construction planning and space proofing. My favourite use to date was to use cmBuilder as a communication tool to demonstrate to our client and the city council the progressive opening of a public river walkway which is a part of our project. The user interface is well thought out and very intuitive to use, I have gotten many Project Engineers and Site Managers started in cmBuilder who had very little BIM experience prior, and they are all loving the tool and especially the resource library. I have had multiple interactions with the company from support(Cal, Pedro,Javy), to resource modeling request, to them paying our company a visit while they were here in New Orleans, La. The upside of using cmBuilder is the software is progressive meaning, always making improvements to make our job more efficient. Also the cmBuilder team is always offering suggestions on workflows to make better presentations for our clients. The 4D site logistics we do with cmBuilder at our company is invaluable as it gets everyone thinking of every possible scenario for a project. **What do you dislike about cmBuilder.io?** The fact that's it's only internet based is the only thing I can think of as a hinderance. For some presentations where I don't have internet or cannot get a hotspot, it would be nice to run the software off my computer to show a client. Meanwhile my work around is to create videos and presentations ahead a time. A create smiliar command would be nice in the future but other than that I don't have any downsides to using cmBuilder. It's fairly easy to use and with the amount of webinars online and the support always willing to help it's impossible to not become at least intermediate using cmBuilder. **What problems is cmBuilder.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems cmBuilder is solving is how we can show stakeholders how we plan visually. Those bids has always a very tight schedule, so time is valueable resource on it. Based on our experience, everytime we enrich our technical presentation showing detailing the construction process, our position in the bid increase significatly. Although, before we aquired the cmBuilder, there was never enough time to work properly on the presentation, because we used to invest a lot of time to model the basics of the construction yard facilites (such as containers and equipements) and build the cinematic scenes. They make it easy to build your plan from scratch and sequence it how you want to. I really like how I'm easily able to bring in drone maps and models to have accurate existing conditions to work off of. Probably the best feature of cmBuilder is the resource library. They have a huge library of objects/vehicles/equipment/people/etc that you can easily place into your plan. Each resource is accurate to real life as well, enhancing the quality of your plan. cmBuilder was much easier for us to implement than other 4D software that required a "tech ninja" to completely run it themselves. After a quick training session, we're able to get field superintendents making their own plans. The support we get from the cmBuilder team is also incredible. Whenever I have any questions or issues, they are always very quick to respond and will help me out right away. **What do you dislike about cmBuilder.io?** While cmBuilder is quick and easy to use, it's technically quicker to just create a 2D plan in Bluebeam still. There are some people that will go for the "path of least resistance" and just make a 2D plan still. The value to get from a 3D plan greatly outweighs the time saved from a 2D plan though. **What problems is cmBuilder.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** cmBuilder is solving the problem of 2D logistics plans being too hard to decipher. There are too many legends and notes on a 2D plan, and you have to look at it for a while and read the notes to fully understand what is going on. With cmBuilder, anyone can instantly know what is going on becuase it's very intuitive to understand the 3D plan that uses real equipment and resources. ### 21. But the team is very good about incorporating wish-it-could's into their next updates. **What problems is cmBuilder.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** cmBuilder is solving the problem of showing clients how you plan to construct their project. From both the logistics component and the actual sequence of construction. I was able to teach myself the basics through the YouTube channel and started learning more advanced tricks through their excellent support team. Speaking of the support team, I would like to say that they are all very kind and I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. They are passionate about their product and excellent teachers. Usually, getting into a new program can be intimidating, but through the YouTube channel, the wiki, and their staff, it will be easy for anyone to get the hang of it in no-time. **What do you dislike about cmBuilder.io?** I think the biggest issue for me is the computer requirements required for smooth performance. I had to make a significant upgrade (switched from a decent laptop to a gaming-PC) in order for cmBuilder to run well on our typical projects.
