"Efficient Asset Management with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I appreciate Cloudinary for its capability to upload and store creative assets and website assets, essentially acting as a cloud for our photography. It solves the problem of accessing our storage from anywhere, which is incredibly convenient for my workflow. The ease of creating a link and sending it to coworkers enhances collaboration and sharing efficiency. I also love the categories feature that helps refine my search, making it easier to locate specific assets quickly. The initial setup of Cloudinary was quite straightforward, contributing to a smooth transition and user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

I find it challenging that when I upload assets to Cloudinary, they don't upload directly to specified folders. Instead, they go into a general pool of assets, requiring additional steps to move them over. I also wish there was functionality for conducting image searches using an image as the search query. "Ease of Integration and Editing, Excellent Speed"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I use Cloudinary to store all kinds of assets and documents from my applications both professionally and personally, which offers me a lot of convenience. I love the ease with which I can quickly transport the assets. The integration is extremely easy and that optimizes my work time thanks to the speed at which I can operate. The options for transforming and editing images and videos are simple and varied, allowing me to optimize and ensure that images are stored in the webp format, in addition to controlling quality and compression. I like being able to save only the necessary information of the asset, such as automatically cropping a profile photo. The initial setup process was excellently easy. I am very satisfied with the prices and always recommend Cloudinary to friends and colleagues, rating it a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

Handling all types of assets that are not images or videos, such as PDFs, xlsx, and others, can be problematic in Cloudinary. I have to use the resource_type = raw or auto, and these don't always work well. The files sometimes become corrupted or are saved incorrectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

TD
"Powerful Tool with Room for UI Improvement"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I appreciate Cloudinary for the many benefits it brings to my digital asset management process, particularly the ease of accessing all images on the cloud. The platform's standout feature is its dynamic image transformation capability, which allows me to apply transformations to visuals directly through a link, eliminating the need to use additional software for visual editing. This feature is especially beneficial for consistently achieving pixel-perfect visuals that align perfectly with aspect ratios, which is crucial for creating compelling visuals for newsletters. Cloudinary's ability to easily replace hosted images further streamlines my workflow, making it an indispensable tool in my toolkit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

I think the UI can be a little clunky, and I wish it was more responsive and fast. The inability to bulk rename multiple files is a shame. For the UI, I would love to see faster/simpler animations in favor of functionality if possible. For the bulk renaming, I would love to see an option for renaming multiple assets that lets us know if some assets' links might break. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Image Storage and Dynamic Integration"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I absolutely enjoy using Cloudinary for storing web app images because of its user-friendly and flexible platform that ensures secure storage. The latency is impressive, enhancing the efficiency of my web applications. Moreover, Cloudinary's media object storage capabilities are outstanding and among the best globally. I also appreciate the ease of integration with my existing application, especially with our Python Django backend and React frontend. Cloudinary's features greatly facilitate delivering web app demos to my customers. Additionally, I value the API capabilities that allow seamless integration between Google Cloud Vertex AI and Cloudinary, which supports unique application needs such as identifying Amazonian plants through our Flutter app. These functionalities combined make Cloudinary an invaluable tool, reflected in my high recommendation score. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

I find it challenging to develop a solution within Cloudinary for creating a kind of hash coding to stamp legal images. I am unsure how to achieve this specific functionality and would appreciate more guidance or features in this area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Image Optimization with Some AI Hiccups"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I absolutely love the ease with which I can handle image transformations using Cloudinary. The ability to encapsulate all my transformations into a single link is incredibly convenient and simplifies my workflow significantly. Rather than having to combine transformations into a complex script, Cloudinary allows me to streamline this process, saving both time and effort. The image optimization feature is another standout, as it enhances the sharpness of images and adds missing details, resulting in high-quality output effortlessly. Additionally, the initial setup of Cloudinary was very easy, which made the transition from our previous internal tool seamless and reduced the time we previously spent on support. I highly recommend Cloudinary because of the significant enhancements it brings to image management tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

The output is sometimes blurred for no reason. The AI-based filters are not great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Asset Management with Cloudinary"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I appreciate Cloudinary for its easy and user-friendly interface, which makes managing product-images and online assets a seamless experience. The platform provides a quick way to upload these assets and make them available online within seconds, significantly enhancing efficiency. I find the process of uploading and entering metadata to be particularly easy, which is crucial for maintaining a streamlined workflow in e-commerce asset management. Overall, Cloudinary stands out for its simplicity and effectiveness in handling online content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

I find the process of setting focal points and using them within our inline shop to be cumbersome. Specifically, having a separate pop-up window to set the focal point is inefficient and disrupts the workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust DAM Solution with Excellent Support"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I have immense appreciation for Cloudinary's outstanding customer service. They are highly supportive, especially when navigating the complexities of the Media Library APIs and when it comes to the custom migration tools we've developed. The support team consistently explains issues clearly and assists in resolving them effectively. In addition, the search functionality within the media library is exceptionally robust, which makes querying or searching visually very efficient and beneficial. I particularly value the ability to optimize assets for delivery in a way that maintains user experience excellence while controlling bandwidth usage; this capability has truly been a game-changer for our operations. Furthermore, the straightforward initial setup ensures a seamless integration process, which has been beneficial for us and our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

I find the lack of a built-in solution for asset request management inconvenient, as it requires going through Portals. Additionally, the user roles aren't as flexible as I'd like. It would be helpful to have roles that allow users to view and download assets without counting against the user quota. Another issue is with subaccount permissions; individual subaccounts should have their own permissions for viewing and adding items. This limitation extends to analytics, as subaccount features are often tied to the main account, which is not practical for us when different clients have their own subaccounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust and high-performing technical solution, but interface and commercial forecasting need improvement."
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

Exceptional reliability: only a few minutes of downtime in 2 years of use

Performance and ease of integration: image/video transformations integrated into URLs, performed on the fly

Effortless scalability: easy development of video content, platform that grows with our needs

Flexible migration: multiple import options adaptable to different existing solutions

Well-documented APIs and simple technical integration (3 months from signing to production)

Responsive technical support with numerous training resources and certifications

Good value for money once the solution is in place Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

Interface not intuitive for non-technical users (photographers, graphic designers) who need a more direct experience

Very imprecise cost estimation: commercial forecast far below reality during the first contract

Insufficient onboarding: lack of support on metadata organization and sharing of best practices

Deficient commercial communication: changes in conditions/features/prices not communicated during pre-sales

Cost predictability difficult in the first year (even if it improves later) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Image Management with Powerful Tools, Awaiting API Improvements"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

We store millions of images in Cloudinary, and it plays a crucial role in moderating and optimizing these images for display across all our applications. The optimizations ensure that our users enjoy the experience they expect, while the management tools empower our internal teams to make modifications whenever necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

"Effortless Asset Sharing and Access Across Teams"
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

quick and easy upload and sharing. We use assets across the business between many departments also often offsite. The cloud-based server allows me to access the assets easily for last-minute posts.

Very quick to roll out across the business when we re-platformed. It integrates into many departments seamlessly. As someone who uses it multiple times daily it's intuitiveness is a gift Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

The AI tagging is not very effective or detailed. We deal with 1000s of assets daily and need to refine quicker, and the tagging process at upload can be lengthy and tedious

The photo editor is not intutuive and does have simple crop feature Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
