Alchemy Reviews & Product Details

When Windows or Windows Server reaches end of support, the applications running on it become a security, compliance and operational risk. Windows Server 2012 Extended Security Updates ended on 13 October 2026. Windows 10 ESU ends in October 2028. Rewriting is slow and risky, and often the source code is long gone. Alchemy is legacy Windows application compatibility software. It decouples an application from the operating system it was built for, resolving file, registry, network and process dependencies at the packaging stage, so the application runs unchanged on a modern platform. No source code, no refactoring, no agents. Key capabilities: - Run apps built for Windows XP, 7, 8 and Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 on Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016 to 2025 - Agentless packaging, with nothing running on your endpoints - Package once and deploy on-premises, in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or hybrid - Citrix, VDI and AWS WorkSpaces ready - Compatibility for business-critical web apps that still need Internet Explorer - Deploy and manage with SCCM, Intune, Ivanti and the tools your team already uses - 100% migration success guarantee for 32-bit and 64-bit applications, or your money back Common use cases include Windows Server end-of-support migration, data centre exit, cloud migration to AWS and Azure, and Windows 11 rollouts stalled by incompatible applications. Alchemy is the technology behind the AWS End-of-Support Migration Program (EMP) for Windows Server. Organisations including NYSE, NASA, Ascensus, National Grid and Royal Mail rely on it. Built by Cloudhouse, the London-based enterprise software company that has helped more than 500 enterprises modernise their Windows estates since 2010.
