**What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

I like how easy it is to manage all our network rules in one place instead of juggling different tools. It also gives clear visibility into traffic, which makes it much easier to spot and fix issues quickly. Having everything in one place saves a lot of time. Instead of jumping between different cloud tools, we can update rules, review logs, and troubleshoot issues from a single dashboard, which makes day to day work much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

Some parts feel more complicated than they need to be, especially when setting up or fine-tuning policies. It can take a bit of trial and error to get everything working the way we want. Policy setup can feel a bit layered, especially when you are trying to understand how different rules interact. It would help if there were clearer guidance or examples built into the workflow, so you don't have to rely as much on documentation or trial and error.

**What problems is Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 4. Centralized Cloud Security with a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

I like how Check Point Cloud Firewall strikes a balance between strong security and ease of management. It provides comprehensive visibility into network traffic and cloud workloads, making it much easier to identify potential risks and investigate issues before they become serious problems. I also appreciate the centralized control it offers over network security, allowing us to enforce policies consistently and gain better visibility into traffic flows. Additionally, the integration with other tools like Microsoft Sentinel as our primary SIEM platform and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint helps us correlate network-level threats with endpoint-level activity, which is really beneficial for our security operations.

**What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

The initial setup and configuration can be quite complex, especially for organizations that are new to cloud security or have multi-cloud environments. Some advanced features also require a deeper learning curve before teams can take full advantage of them. When we first deployed Check Point Cloud Firewall in our environment, the initial configuration of security policies and rules sets took considerably longer than expected. For teams without prior Check Point experience, mapping existing on-premises firewall rules to the cloud environment required significant planning and expertise. A more guided, wizard-driven setup process for common deployment scenarios, particularly for AWS and Azure environments, would have reduced that initial friction considerably. Honestly, the initial setup of Check Point Cloud Firewall was one of the more challenging aspects of the overall deployment. I would rate it moderately complex, and I think it's important to be transparent about that for any organisation considering the platform.

**What problems is Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Check Point Cloud Firewall to secure our cloud environment, ensuring consistent security controls and better visibility into network traffic and threats, solving our challenge of maintaining network security.

  ### 7. Enterprise-Grade Cloud Security That Just Works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele M. | Research Fellow, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

When we started using Check Point CloudGuard Network Security, what struck me right away was how quickly we got solid, enterprise‑level protection without having to tear apart our existing cloud setup. Everything was up and running smoothly, and it just worked.
What I like most is that it brings together firewalling, intrusion prevention, and advanced threat protection all in one place. Whether we’re dealing with workloads in the cloud or on‑prem, the policies stay consistent and easy to manage. The management console also deserves a mention cause it’s super clear and having everything visible from one dashboard really saves time day to day.
Also, the auto scaling feature is really good, It automatically keeps up so the security layer never becomes a bottleneck, and, to be honest, It just runs in the background catching issues and anomalies.

**What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

The main thing of Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is that is not very beginner-friendly. If you think about smaller teams or people who don't have any previous experience. The initial setup can feel complex and requires some time to fully understand the different things like routing options or blades.
All this things compared to the pricing, that is definitely on the higher side compared to some cloud-native alternatives, so It's an investment that needs to be justified by a serious security requirement.

**What problems is Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that CloudGuard resolved was the challenge of applying consistent, advanced network security across a multi cloud env. Before that, each platform had its own security tools and policies which made it easy for misconfigurations and blinds spots to appear. Automated threat prevention like zero day attacks, ransomware and phishing reduces the volume of real incidents and noisy false positives. Overall, Cloud Guard has clearly reduced our risk level and given us much more confidence that our critical applications and data are not protected.

  ### 8. Robust Security with Centralized Management

The platform is reliable and scalable, helping to protect cloud workloads against modern cyber threats efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

One area that could be improved is the user interface, which can sometimes feel complex. Simplifying the dashboard and navigation would make it easier to manage security policies and monitor cloud activity. Additionally, improved documentation with more guiding steps would help deploy, configure, and perform tasks more quickly, with step-by-step implementation options.

**What problems is Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Akshay G. | Sr.Technical Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

Checkpoint CloudGuard Network Security is a good product. It has helped us to protect against Zero Day attack. we were in search for a cloud scaling and automation tool which was fulfilled by Checkpoint CloudGuard network Security. Earlier we were not able to inspect the traffic about where our actual traffic was going but due this application the requirement was fulfilled. Also, the customer support responded quickly for the query we raised

**What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

The architecture is complex because during implementation we found out that the complex architecture was becoming a hurdle for us. OEM should introduce more documents so that the architecture should be easily understandable.

**What problems is Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Checkpoint Cloudguard Network Security allows us to view where our traffic is and where the traffic is going.
I would strongly recommend my vendors to use this product as this has solved many issues of mine.

  ### 10. Centralized Cloud Security, But Prepare for a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharamveer p. | Application Security Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

I really like the threat prevention accuracy and how Check Point CloudGuard Network Security handles files using Content Disarm and Reconstruction. It makes me feel secure knowing that malicious code is stripped from documents and reconstructed safely before reaching users. I also appreciate the single pane of glass management, which allows me to oversee our entire security posture across multiple clouds without constantly switching contexts. It works dependably in the background and doesn't generate a lot of false positives, reducing the time my team spends on manual investigations. The integration with cloud-native tools is smooth and gives me a clear sense of control over our network traffic.

**What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?**

While the platform is very powerful, the initial setup and policy tuning can be quite complex, especially for teams that are not already deeply familiar with the Check Point ecosystem. The learning curve is steep, and getting the configuration exactly right for a specific cloud environment takes a significant amount of time and planning. I have also noticed that the user interface can feel a bit dated and sometimes lags when I am trying to load large dashboards or complex reports, which can be frustrating during urgent tasks. Additionally, the licensing and pricing models are somewhat opaque and expensive, making it a bit difficult to map out costs as our environment scales. I would also like to see more intuitive logging tools, as the current built-in reporting can feel clunky, often requiring me to export data just to perform a clear analysis.

**What problems is Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Check Point CloudGuard Network Security to centrally manage security across clouds like AWS and Azure, automating virtual network protection and preventing lateral threats. It consolidates security efforts, reduces error risk, and improves traffic visibility, streamlining our chaotic manual workflows into predictable management.
