**What do you like best about Closedata?**

The UI is clean and fast, with virtually no learning curve, you can start sourcing on day one. Performance has been solid: searches return results quickly, even when I stack multiple filters. The AI layer is the real differentiator; it doesn’t just surface companies, it helps me understand why they match my thesis.

Pricing feels reasonable for what you get. Replacing manual research and fragmented databases makes it easy to justify the cost. Onboarding was straightforward, and support has been responsive. There aren’t deep integrations yet, but the core workflow is self-contained enough that it hasn’t been a blocker. They also integrate a financial model with InformaD&B.

**What do you dislike about Closedata?**

Integrations are still limited at this stage. I’d really like a native CRM sync so pipeline updates can flow automatically, although they’re working on it. The dataset is currently focused on Portugal and Spain; they’re expanding, but for now they don’t cover additional countries. That focus makes sense, but for funds with a broader Southern European mandate, it’s still a noticeable gap.

**What problems is Closedata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with fragmented deal sourcing in the Iberian market, no single source of truth, heavy reliance on intermediaries, and weeks spent manually qualifying targets that often went nowhere. With Closedata, we now run structured searches against a curated SME database in minutes, with ownership and financial context already attached. The result: our time-to-first-contact on new targets dropped significantly, and we're finding more proprietary opportunities outside the typical broker-circulated deals. For a fund running an active origination strategy, that's the difference between reactive and proactive dealmaking.
