Provides data security for user which very essential as it's handling sensitive information. **What do you dislike about ClearStar?** There is a delay in service where we receive late response which is issue during immediate hiring process. **What problems is ClearStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hiring security and compliance, data security ### 2. We were using ESR, which was fine, but it was acquired by ClearStar and ever since the cutover to the new platform it has been the worst user experience I've ever had with any tool in almost 20 years of working in HR. **What do you dislike about ClearStar?** Everything - the UI is confusing and needs to be rethought; the system requires that everyone enter in an SSN even if it is a check for an international employee; we just found out after 4 months of using this tool that employees can decline to use an electronic signature which prevents the check from proceeding until we send them a release; the reports are difficult to read; it's not clear what requested information is missing so that we can help move the process forward. **What problems is ClearStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is supposed to run background checks but we have more background checks outstanding than completed because the system is so hard to use and there are things like sending a consent for a live signature about which we were never informed. We were forced into this platform due the acquistion of ESR and would never have selected this tool on our own. ### 3. It will have all the data like DMV, Credit History, Legal cases of all Employees and all other information. **What do you dislike about ClearStar?** It will take a longer time to get the results. The print of these results will take a much smaller size. The pricing is genuinely high for us to afford. **What problems is ClearStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** It will help speed up hiring and get trustworthy candidates to the company. ### 4. They make sure they are compliant with the laws/regulations. **What do you dislike about ClearStar?** No real issues, it is user friendly. Depending on the background information some results could take longer then anticipated. **What problems is ClearStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** You are using a background screening service to clear your candidates through the new hire process to work for your company or clients. The benefits are to run checks on who you are. ### 6. Background Checks are vital to recruiting success **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2018 **What do you like best about ClearStar?** The background checks are really not a hassle and can be completed very quickly by the candidate and the return information comes in a reasonable amount of time. **What do you dislike about ClearStar?** We used this at my current company for awhile before switching over to Aurico, no real issues with it. **Recommendations to others considering ClearStar:** In the time that I had used it I thought it was a good company to go through, unfortunately we had something come through with our contract with Career Builder. I'm assuming it may have to do with price? **What problems is ClearStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making sure candidates don't have any prior issues is vital to our success. It allows our clients to be confident in the people we are recommending to them. ### 7.
