I do not like anything about ClearStar. We were using ESR, which was fine, but it was acquired by ClearStar and ever since the cutover to the new platform it has been the worst user experience I've ever had with any tool in almost 20 years of working in HR. Everything - the UI is confusing and needs to be rethought; the system requires that everyone enter in an SSN even if it is a check for an international employee; we just found out after 4 months of using this tool that employees can decline to use an electronic signature which prevents the check from proceeding until we send them a release; the reports are difficult to read; it's not clear what requested information is missing so that we can help move the process forward.
