## About ClassLens
ClassLens is an AI-assisted grading tool built for Google Classroom teachers. Sign in with Google, select an assignment, configure your grading preferences, and ClassLens grades student submissions via Google Cloud Vertex AI. Grades and feedback save as drafts in Classroom (Draft Only mode) or route to the in-app Batch Review Dashboard for teacher review before release (Grade & Review mode). The Knowledge Gap Report aggregates class-wide misunderstandings per assignment so teachers can re-teach the criteria students actually missed. ClassLens is the only K-12 AI grading tool with restricted-scope Google OAuth verification, SOC 2 Type I attested by Percilchofe CPA LLC (License No. 1188), CASA Tier 2 complete, and signatory status on the CISA Secure by Design Pledge. Built by a full-time teacher.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about ClassLens?**

I like how ClassLens combines AI-powered grading with genuinely useful teaching insights instead of just automating scores. It integrates smoothly with Google Classroom and provides consistent rubric-based feedback, which saves me a significant amount of time. The AI evaluates assignments and generates knowledge gap reports, helping me identify where the class is struggling and making it easier to plan follow-up lessons. Even though I still review grades before they're released, ClassLens significantly reduces my workload. Plus, the initial setup was very easy. The UI also so good

**What do you dislike about ClassLens?**

One area where ClassLens could improve is giving teachers more control over how the AI evaluates edge cases, especially for creative or open-ended assignments where multiple answers may be equally valid. I'd also like to see more customization options for feedback templates and broader integrations beyond Google Classroom. Even so, the AI is accurate enough to serve as a reliable first reviewer, and the time it saves easily outweighs these minor limitations.

**What problems is ClassLens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ClassLens to speed up grading and provide rubric-based feedback, reducing workload while maintaining control over final grades. The AI highlights classwide learning gaps, which helps tailor lesson plans and allows more efficient, informed teaching.

 ### 2. ClassLens Makes Classroom Data Easy to Organize and Turn Into Insights

**What do you like best about ClassLens?**

I like ClassLens because it makes organizing and analyzing classroom information much easier, helping me turn feedback and learning data into useful insights. The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate, and being able to quickly spot patterns and pinpoint areas for improvement is especially helpful.

**What do you dislike about ClassLens?**

The biggest area for improvement is that some features could be more customizable and easier to navigate. I’d also like to see more detailed reporting options, along with smoother integration with other education tools, to make the platform even more useful overall.

**What problems is ClassLens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ClassLens helps address the challenge of organizing classroom information and turning learning data and feedback into actionable insights. It makes it easier to spot trends, pinpoint areas where students may need additional support, and make more informed decisions about teaching and learning.

 ### 3. ClassLens Delivers Rubric-Based Grading, Personalized Feedback, and Actionable Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** K Vasanth K. | Global Information Technology Intern, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through LinkedIn

**Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2026

**What do you like best about ClassLens?**

The best thing about ClassLens it goes beyond the automation of grading. The AI assistant evaluate all the submissions against teacher's own rubric and even provides personalized feedback for each submission. I like the feature where the teachers even get the actionable insights along with the feedback so that they know what to teach again.

**What do you dislike about ClassLens?**

The platform's heavy dependency on Google Classroom is the only con I can think of. The integration is smooth and seamless but the teachers using other applications have fewer options.

**What problems is ClassLens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem it solves is the reduction of the amount of time and effort of the teachers put to grade the assignments manually. The automated grading system even helps in identifying the knowledge gaps across the class.

 ### 4. Clear, Time-Saving Classroom Insights with ClassLens

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harshul S. | Sr tech support, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about ClassLens?**

What I like best about ClassLens is how clearly it organizes classroom insights. It pulls together attendance, engagement, and performance data in a way that actually makes sense, so you don’t have to dig through multiple tools. It’s straightforward and saves time.

**What do you dislike about ClassLens?**

The only downside is that some of the insights feel a bit too high‑level. When I want deeper context or more granular data, I end up switching to other tools. It’s helpful, but sometimes I need more detail than what’s shown.

**What problems is ClassLens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ClassLens solves the problem of scattered classroom data. Instead of checking multiple tools for attendance, engagement, and performance, it brings everything into one place. The benefit is quicker decision‑making and a clearer picture of what’s actually happening with the class.

 ### 5. ClassLens Saves Grading Time with Rubric-Based Feedback and Google Classroom Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roopam s. | Executive - Recruitment & Delivery, Staffing and Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2026

**What do you like best about ClassLens?**

What I like best about ClassLens is how much time it can save on grading while still letting the teacher stay in control. I especially like that it grades work against your own rubric, gives personalized feedback, and provides class-wide insights into where students are struggling. The direct Google Classroom integration also makes the workflow feel simple and convenient.

**What do you dislike about ClassLens?**

One thing I dislike about ClassLens is that I’d still want to double-check the AI-generated grades and feedback, especially for subjective or high-stakes assignments. It seems most useful when the rubric is clear, but it may be less reliable when the work requires a lot of personal judgment or context.

**What problems is ClassLens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

or me, the biggest benefit is that it cuts down the time I spend grading and gives me more time to focus on teaching and helping students. I also like that I can review and change the AI-generated grades before students see them, so I still have the final say

 ### 6. Time-Saving Feedback and Insights, Though AI Grading Still Needs Review

**What do you dislike about ClassLens?**

The AI grading is not always accurate so sometimes I still need to review the grades and feedback before sharing them with the learners

ClassLens helps solve the problem of time consuming grading and feedback. It gives me a quicker starting point for marking, provides personalised feedback and helps me identify common learning gaps. This gives me more time to focus on teaching and supporting learners

 ### 7. Streamlined AI Course Management with Intuitive UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayank J. | Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Staffing and Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2026

**What do you like best about ClassLens?**

I really like ClassLens for its clean, modern, and user-friendly UI, which makes it easy for our team to manage and deliver AI courses. The platform excels at keeping our course content well-organized and makes navigating between different learning materials a breeze. The user-friendly design allows us to navigate the platform, manage courses, and access important information without a steep learning curve. ClassLens also helps keep AI lessons, resources, and learning materials structured in one place, making the delivery of courses more consistent and efficient.

**What do you dislike about ClassLens?**

One area that can be improved is the depth of customization available for managing different types of AI courses and learner groups. More flexible reporting and analytics would also help us better understand learner engagement and performance.

**What problems is ClassLens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ClassLens to organize our learning materials, manage our classes, and track our learners' progress, which simplifies our course management and enhances our learning experience.

 ### 8. Accurately Grades Handwritten Notes and Screenshots with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**G2 Icon:** Our network of Icons are G2 members who are recognized for their outstanding contributions and commitment to helping others through their expertise.

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about ClassLens?**

A major standout feature reported by users is its ability to accurately process, read, and grade photos of handwritten notes and screenshots, which many other text-only AI graders struggle with.

**What do you dislike about ClassLens?**

Like all current AI grading tools, while it is excellent for standard worksheets, math problems, and formulaic essays, it still struggles to accurately and fairly evaluate highly abstract creative writing, multimedia projects, or deeply nuanced subjective arguments.

**What problems is ClassLens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The AI never autonomously finalizes or publishes grades to students. It writes all feedback and scores into Google Classroom as "drafts," giving the teacher total control to review, edit, and approve the grades before returning them.

I like tha classlens saves time by automating grading while still approving personalized feedback and insights into where students are struggling.
