  ### 1. Circle Gives Our Paid Community a Professional, Well-Organised Home

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Building with Circle AI is a game changer for us. We can build out our new community in minutes rather than months! Circle gives our paid community a professional, well-organised home. Spaces let us cleanly separate content: Video Library, Founder Toolkit, Members Directory and control visibility so some events are open to all members while others stay programme-specific.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

Nothing significant to flag. Circle has worked well for our needs so far and is launching new features all the time

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle solves the challenge of building genuine community connection across a dispersed geography — our AwakenHub and AwakenAngels members span across Ireland, the USA, and beyond. It gives us one central space where founders and investors can engage with each other regardless of location, rather than relying on in-person events alone. It also helps us systemise and automate parts of our community management, which means our small team can focus on delivering value to members rather than getting bogged down in manual admin. That efficiency has been key as we scale both organisations.

  ### 2. A great platform to host your community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Once you understand the whereabouts, Circle is a very simple platform to customize to your own needs. But what really made me fall in love with it is the AI chat. Whenever I don't know how to do something I ask on the chat, it gives me the how-to and even sends me straight to the location I need to. It also recommends best approaches.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I wish Circle would connect to Brazilian payment gateways natively that we could actually choose from, like Asaas and others. Today our only option is Stripe.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really wanted to have a space where I could deliver all my content, from free to paid, that I have control over and that my community is able to get to know each other. I'm still in the very early days, but I already get a feeling this is the right way to go.

  ### 3. And Excellent Community Platform for Nonprofits and Arts Organizations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** O.Q. J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Source: In-app:** This review was generated through an in-app integration or from one of G2's partnership integrations. This reviewer was not provided any incentive by G2 for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle has been an excellent platform for building and managing our nonprofit community. I appreciate now easy it is to organize content into Spaces, create events with an integrated calendar, host discussions, and keep members engaged in one place. As an administrator, I also like the flexibility to customize the community for different audiences. We're using Circle to support our arts education programs, events, fundraising, and member communication, and it has become a central hub for our organization. The platform continues to add valuable features like AI, making it even more powerful.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

My biggest challenge has been discovering some of the more advanced features. A few administrative workflows and settings aren't always intuitive, and I found myself relying on support articles or experimenting to understand how certain features worked. Better onboarding, clearer documentation for administrators, and more guided setup for tools like AI agents would make the experience even better. Overall, these are improvements rather than major issues, and they haven't prevented us from successfully building our community.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle has helped us replace multiple disconnected tools with one organized platform for our nonprofit community. Instead of managing conversations, events, announcements, resources, and member engagement across several apps, everything is centralized in one place. This has improved communication with our students, parents, instructors, volunteers, and supporters while giving us a professional space to promote events, fundraising, and educational programs. As our community grows, Circle is helping us build stronger engagement and save valuable administrative time.

  ### 4. Simple and Robust Community Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jo N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Circle?**

From the start, I found Circle intuitive to use as I was building the back end of my community. The interface is elegant, and the features are exactly what I need to engage my community. I have built communities on other platforms, and Circle is by far my favorite and the one I recommend to others.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I'm not a huge AI fan, so the push to use more AI is not my favorite.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I created a membership branch for an organization, and we use Circle as our engagement platform. We have folks from all over the world, and this is a natural place to gather. We also host regular webinars and courses, and being able to house them for our members is wonderful.

  ### 5. Circle Is An All-around Winner

**What do you like best about Circle?**

What I like best about Circle is that it creates a warm, welcoming space where my clients can feel connected and supported between sessions. It allows me to build a true community, share helpful resources, and encourage meaningful conversations in a private environment where people navigating grief don't have to feel alone.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

What I dislike about Circle is that there can be a learning curve when setting everything up.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle helps solve one of the biggest challenges in grief support... staying connected between sessions. Instead of clients feeling isolated after an appointment, they have a safe, supportive community where they can access resources, ask questions, share their experiences, and encourage one another. For me, it provides a central place to nurture those relationships, extend support beyond one-on-one meetings, and create a stronger sense of belonging for my clients as they navigate their grief.

  ### 6. Great Tool but limited and dull workflow possibilities without external integration

**What do you like best about Circle?**

My most favorite feature is that Circle allows to play around with Access Spaces and create your own little infrastructure within circle without having to depend on the integrated paywall system.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

My most disliked issue is the workflow limitations, I feel like there is so much more possible, whole workflow sets that you could create, but all of it is just running based on ONE trigger only for ONE small thing, or Im using it wrong idk. And not only that then you pay around 2K annually just to get 20 workflows, like dude it's not even a proper "AI" feature, it doesn't use up tokens, just runs a task based on a predefined set of rules.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to create a cohesive community with different tiers, different access levels, but still a great functionality and performance for the topics that we want to teach our community

**Official Response from Chintan Patel:**

> Hi Furkan,

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We’re glad to hear that Access Spaces has given you the flexibility to create your own structure within Circle, especially without needing to rely only on the built-in paywall system.

We also hear you on the workflow limitations and pricing concerns. When you’re trying to build more advanced automations, it can be frustrating if the available triggers, actions, or workflow limits do not fully match the experience you’re trying to create. That feedback is important to us, and our team has continued to invest in this area with improvements to workflows, automation capabilities, and more ways to help community owners streamline their operations inside Circle.

Thanks again for sharing such candid feedback. It helps us better understand where Circle is working well today and where we still need to improve for creators building more complex community experiences.

  ### 7. The Best All-in-One Community Platform I’ve Used

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jono Y. | Software Engineer, Civil Commercial Market Group, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle has become much more than a community platform. It combines memberships, courses, events, discussions, email, automations, AI Agents, and branded mobile apps into a single ecosystem that dramatically reduces the need for third-party tools. The pace of product development has been exceptional, especially around AI, workflows, and member engagement. As both a designer and developer, I appreciate that Circle gives me enough flexibility to build polished experiences while still being approachable for non-technical community owners. The platform strikes a rare balance between ease of use and enterprise-level capability, making it possible to create communities that feel intentional, professional, and highly engaging.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

The biggest limitation is that customization still has clear boundaries. While Site Builder and custom code cover many use cases, deeper control over layouts, data, and dynamic experiences would make the platform significantly more powerful. The API continues to improve, but there are still endpoints and event triggers that would unlock much richer integrations and custom applications. I would also like to see more advanced analytics, reporting, and filtering built directly into the platform. Finally, some newer features—especially AI Agents—are incredibly promising, but would benefit from additional configuration options, deeper automation hooks, and more granular control as they continue to mature.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Circle, building a community often meant stitching together half a dozen different platforms for memberships, courses, events, discussions, email, automations, and mobile apps. Circle brings all of those capabilities together in one platform, which has significantly reduced complexity, saved time, and created a much more cohesive experience for both me and my members. The addition of AI Agents, workflows, and a growing API has also made it possible to automate support, onboarding, and member engagement in ways that weren’t practical before. As someone who designs products and communities for a living, Circle allows me to spend less time managing technology and more time creating value for members.

  ### 8. It's a game changer

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Circle?**

The fact that we can have multiple groups in our community but they cannot see each other makes it feel like it is their own space. The new AI features make it extremely easy to develop content regularly. It keeps things relevant for all who are in our community. And the team at Circle has been very supportive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

The course structure. It would be awesome if it had the capability of creating better structure and reporting as we use a lot of courses to educate our members.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing people together and providing the ability to communicate with them regularly in our own space. We know they want to be here.

  ### 9. Highly Engaged Community Builder with Room for Improvement

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I use Circle to engage customers in a collaborative community setting. It allows me to provide extensive information, ongoing care, and communications, as well as schedule events like integration circles and communities. This approach has been very positive, supporting meaningful change. I appreciate the functionalities of paid memberships in Circle, which offer a great way to transition from free to freemium to premium while controlling access to certain community elements. I'm very happy with the decision to use Circle; it's a valuable tool for providing the greatest product to customers and is seen as a tremendous value add. Circle outshines alternatives like Mighty Networks and Discord, offering a better UI and more cohesive structure. I was particularly impressed with the easy customization and integration with external resources in my custom-designed customer portal. The initial setup was well guided, and Circle delivers an exceptional community platform experience, making it highly recommended.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I find a lot of the settings on Circle can be very convoluted and difficult to navigate, especially when creating specific sections like event or posting sections. It can be a bit confusing and has a learning curve. There are just so many features, like space-specific features and category-specific features, making it a lot to navigate around from the admin side. Better navigation or a more seamless UI/UX experience for the administrator would be great. The different settings per category or event could be better built out and showcased. Alternatively, leveraging generative AI to plain language to build out would be incredible.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Circle for engaging customers in a collaborative community setting, providing articles and connection opportunities. It's excellent for ongoing communications and scheduling events. However, the admin side can be complex and hard to navigate.

  ### 10. Smooth and Supportive

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Everything is in one place. No social media distractions or nonsense. Focus. Emails, recordings, resources, etc. Lots of options and a very clean, minimal look. I want to understand the gamification options better. The customer support was amazing too. I love how affordable it is and easy to set up, especially with my tech svvy husband's support. .

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

On time a video did not record and I wonder if it was because my guest also ran her own Cirlce group and maybe her settings were different than mine? It has never happened since, or before.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to gather with people from all over and who share the same goals.

  ### 11. This is a great way to build and strengthen our community of accountants.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I like the ability to organize spaces and have members in different access groups depending on whether they are in our free section or paid sections.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I think the only downside to Circle is the mobile app. I really wish it was easier to use. I know some members prefer to use their phones and, because it's so hard to create a new post in the app, they never contribute to the community unless it's a simple response.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to use Slack, so Circle is solving being a web app and the payment features. We're just starting to use the educational features for class and training, and these seem really well designed.

  ### 12. I've recommended Circle to many business associates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle is a wonderful way to build community, communicate effectively, and bridge the distance between remote locations. There are many ways to analyze engagement, incentivize participation, and facilitate connections.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I'd like to be able to create more spaces and space groups, and archive old groups without deleting their content. I would also like more fun features to gamify our community, reward people, and make the experience memorable.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a group of teachers working remotely, and this platform allows me to connect with and guide them to complete various projects and special assignments. I can make small groups for each group and easily manage their workflow. Simultaneously, they feel connected to the company and each other.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I love the Circle interface because it's intuitive and easy to understand. The event creation feature is really helpful, and I appreciate its integration with my calendar. The fact that I can search up different things makes it interesting as well. I also find it quite nice that we can have courses, events, and leaderboards, which can be fine-tuned to the kind of work we do. This flexibility is really beneficial. I also like how easy it is to maneuver through various sections like the feeds and resources. We've even created an SOP library, which makes it easy to move through our database of contacts and coursework. This makes it quite beneficial for me. The performance so far has been well put together; I haven't experienced system downtime. This also comes into play: the ease of the onboarding process was exceptional. I was able to set up an account and learn my way around within minutes. I have not had any AI features to use with it, so that might be an area of improvement for Circle. The team should look into adding more AI aided features in the coming updates.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I feel like I'd hope for Circle to have an application instead of just having a web version. Sometimes I want to just open Circle without having to open my browser. That would be nice. I'm not sure if it does, but I have not seen that.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Circle for team communication, creating a community where we can share ideas and discussions. It gives visibility into what everyone is doing and facilitates group-based discussions, making it interactive and bringing people together.

  ### 14. Circle Creates a Premium, Centralized Home for Our Creator Community

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle has given us a centralized home for our creator program in a way that no general-purpose tool (Slack, Discord, Notion) ever could. The member experience feels genuinely premium, which matters when you’re asking high-leverage creators to engage with you consistently. Engagement on briefs is measurably higher than what we saw with email and WhatsApp, and it’s easier to keep conversations in one place. Overall, the platform makes the relationship feel like a community rather than a vendor portal, and that shift has been worth a lot for retention.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

The platform is clearly built member-first, and that focus comes through in ways that matter to operators. That said, anything involving bulk moderation, segmentation, or cohort-level analytics ends up taking more clicks—and more exporting—than it really should. The pricing tiers also feel structured to nudge you into upgrading for capabilities you’d ideally expect at a lower level; workflows and deeper API access, in particular, sit just beyond what feels like the natural fit for a mid-sized program. On top of that, the mobile admin experience noticeably lags behind the web version.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem we needed solved: how do you keep a distributed group of high-leverage creators engaged with your brand between active campaigns? Email and chat tools weren't doing it, too transactional, too easy to ignore. Circle gave us a persistent, branded space where creators come back even when they don't have an active brief. That has translated into faster activation cycles, higher response rates, and creators who feel like part of a program rather than vendors on a one-off contract.

  ### 15. A far-reaching platform which respects and works with the needs of its members.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

We love that Circle views its members as part of its team. We enjoy the benefits of being able to reach audiences all around the world without the restrictions faced on other platforms. When we have an idea or question, Circle is prompt to listen, problem-solve, and looks for ways to incorporate our ideas.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

Many of those that come to our community are facing health conditions that make it difficult for them to understand and use new platforms. Some have struggled with navigating Circle. Some type of navigational help that pops up and guides them as they use the app at first would be helpful.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle has been great about increasing awareness of our organization and its services. Circle does this not only through our community, but also be increasing our presence in web searches.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

The possibility to have it all available in just one spot, the possibility to share things with the people who are really interested in those things.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

Bugs often, it took me a while to understand some logics, the fact it's connected to teams instead of zoom, the need to pay more to use AI and automations

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All my customers on one same spot. The possibility of selling other products, but nobody has ever in my community purchased through a paywall within the community. I think there should be a way to do promotions and it should do it automatically...

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

As a moderator, I feel seen and valued. The Circle customer support team actually listens—when I suggest something that would make moderation smoother or improve community flow, they take it seriously. Sometimes, it even becomes a new feature! The platform itself is intuitive, clean, and genuinely helps rather than hinders. Every update feels like it was built with real users in mind—especially those of us actively running communities.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

The search feature still feels like a bit of a maze. Even with experience, I often feel overwhelmed when trying to track something down — and I can only imagine how confusing it might be for new members or families who are just getting started. It’s not that the content isn’t there — it’s that finding it quickly and intuitively still takes more clicks and mental energy than it should. Improving the search and filtering experience would go a long way in making the platform more accessible and empowering for everyone, not just power users- plus the more members that use the search feature effectively, the easier for moderators.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although we've only used Circle as a platform to host our community (for over 2 years), Circle has been a game-changer for me as a moderator of a parent community focused on supporting children with language delays. What I appreciate most is how the platform helps me stay organized and present for the families I serve. It’s user-friendly and I don't feel like I have to fight with technology. Gives me more time to focus on building connections, sharing strategies, and creating a space where parents feel empowered and less alone in their journey. I am not an owner of this business, and I don't know more than being a moderator, but I do know that families have less challenges and glitches now that the course is being offered through circle as well. We never have difficulty with LIVES and when we have ideas (quizes vs. polls, searching through phrases vs. single words, etc.) they seem to be heard and added quickly which helps Improves the quality of work I put out to these families.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I’ve been on Circle for several years now. What stands out most is how simple it is for new members to come in and get oriented without friction. The platform has plenty of tools, and the broader Circle community constantly shares smart ideas on how to operate and expand effectively.

They’ve also picked up the pace with consistent monthly updates, which keeps things fresh. I’m always exploring new ways to engage my members, and Circle keeps rolling out features that actually make that easier.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

Support has been solid. When something critical pops up, they’re on it fast. With smaller, one-off issues, it can take a bit longer to sort out—but that’s pretty standard anywhere.

What’s really impressive is their new AI support tool. It can actually adjust community settings for me and get things done without the usual back-and-forth. Honestly, it’s one of the coolest support features I’ve used.

Overall, the drawbacks are minor—just the normal trade-offs you get with any platform you rely on regularly.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle really sits at the center of everything I do. It’s the core of my community in a way no social platform can realistically replicate. Social media helps bring people in the door, sure—but the real engagement, the meaningful conversations, and the long-term relationships all happen inside the community itself.

  ### 20. Circle has been a great choice for my community and course offerings

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I love the Circle platform for hosting my community and courses. It takes time to learn the admin part of it, but has great features once you get the hang of it. My favorite part is their support system using their community and attending Weekly Office Hours to ask questions and get unstuck. They also use their community to gather feedback and request features. They keep releasing new features and some are very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

It's difficult at times to navigate the admin and have a full understanding of connecting all the dots on the backend. They have many updates which is great, but often makes it a challenge to stay up to date with everything.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle helps me bring together my community and course offerings and is an (almost) all-in-one solution for everything I need. Creating sales pages is now a breeze and easy to connect with your offers. Circle is a great solution for my business and has a great support team when you have challenges.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

The most helpful thing about Circle is that I can integrate almost everything in one place, from creating a forum for users to uploading course materials.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

The least helpful thing is that the sign-up process makes it hard to create new users, which in turn makes onboarding difficult.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem it solved for my business was making customer onboarding for a course much easier, since we can integrate all the materials in Circle and track progress in one place. We can also send emails and track open rates, which helps us follow up and remind our customers.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I can ask for recommendations. First time business owner. I provide my ideas and get assistance in developing the concept.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

It can be information overload if you are new to technology-based platforms. Multiple HOW TO videos but still alot to digest.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hours of bringing my ideas to full concepts. It is beneficial for me to have that "extra" time to provide the service to my clients. I have ample time to connect with my community and gather feedback.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

We moved onto Circle after trying many platforms to be able to have our course content and community space in one space that was ours (vs a social media site or multiple platforms). It is great for our team and our customers to have access to our full set of offers in one place. They are constantly updating things- we have been on Circle for 2+ years now and many of the features we were missing when we signed up are now on Circle.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

There are some limits to customizing things like your course. We really liked the way our course looked visually on our previous platform. Circles courses are a new-er offering of theirs and they have released some visuals to go along with, but I would love to be able to style the courses. I also wish we could edit peoples email addresses for typos- it is a common issue we have when people sign up. Analytics is new-er, could be better and easier to use.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle puts all of our information in one place for community and course content. We do not have to be on multiple platforms. This is huge for us.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle is awesome! I love how it allows me to structure my community so we all know where different conversations are going on. Its course space allows me to upload onboarding materials like a tour of Circle and how members can navigate my community. Circle's new web builder has also made it possible for me to create a website and sales page for my community without paying for extra software or needing to mirror the look on a different site.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I feel like Circle nickels-and-dimes you for functionality. I have under 100 members, but as soon as I go over 100 members, I'll need to pay $20/month if I want to use their email feature. I also found that to make use of the automated workflows they advertise, I quickly needed to upgrade to a business account. I love the platform, but it is very expensive at the end of the day.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle has created an easy-to-navigate course platform that allows me to handle nearly everything I need for my community. It offers a site builder so I can build marketing materials to attract new members, its payment system ties in seamlessly with Stripe, I can use their email feature an email members when they join the community with an onboarding sequence, and I can email my members without having to dig into a different email system. Circle also offers affiliate sales and other features that I will use over time.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I use Circle for a couple of different communities I'm part of, and I like how it creates a space to have Q&A forums that feel professional. The ability to post courses and have questions and support associated with them in an organized way is a big plus for me. It's less chaotic for people who aren't used to course, chat, and forum software. I think Circle's biggest strengths are the way it hosts and formats courses and its forum capability. It provides a more structured, professional, and academic feeling experience.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

Live chats aren't good. You can't select someone's message and reply to it without opening a hidden thread. Every other chatting app will simply show the message above, and publicly post the response to the chat. This is good for engagement. The way Circle's chats are designed makes them clunky and slow to navigate. It seems like they're designed to slow down and focus the communication rather than encourage others to join in. The live call feature is also glitchy on mobile. I think it would benefit from updating its chats to a style similar to Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, iMessage, and other messaging apps. Everybody is familiar with them, and I think the way it is now prevents people from building connections with people in real time. The way it is now also makes the chats work more like a loosely structured customer support chat versus a community chat or group chat.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Circle to create professional Q&A forums and post courses with organized support, which makes it less chaotic for new users.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

What I like the most is that it's a centralized platform for everything I want + has integrations to almost any other tool I would need to use (Zapier, Stripe). I also feel like the data is mine since I pay Circle, unlike Substack, which kept spamming my subscribers with marketing emails and auto-subscribing to newsletters they didn't want through dark UX patterns.

The interface is easy to use, and I managed to learn things quickly despite the depth of features.

The pricing is quite high but it's worth the upside once I start the monetization. I dislike that the email hub/contacts is not included in the $2.5k I pay yearly, that feels like a basic feature that should be included in a business plan.

No complaints about performance. It's always working when I need it and emails get delivered fast.

Onboarding was extremely smooth. The checklist was helpful and you have so many useful guides/videos on your site to get started.

As for AI features, I honestly haven't used them so far because I didn't really need them.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

While I love the templates for some spaces, I think the Courses are placed oddly in the overall experience. Why does each course have to be its own space? In my case, I want to create one space with specific courses related to that space's topic which is impossible to do.

The more courses you have, the spaces become harder to navigate.

The other controls that are helpful would be paywalls on specific posts, rather than entire spaces. Sometimes, you want to give people a preview of what to expect in the paywalled space, and it's hard to do with the current structure.

Finally, I'm not a fan of the AI chatbot. It's helpful for basic questions, but I was trying so hard to connect to an actual person and it never re-routed my request after saying it would multiple times so I gave up. It was incredibly frustrating to get an answer and I still haven't gotten it.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle is mainly helping me with:
1) Centralizing my content in one place while allowing me to organize it in the way I like
2) Centralizing my newsletter, content, and future paid content in one place
3) Not having to build an entire website from scratch while still being able to brand it the way I want. I can just focus on making the content and engaging with my audience rather than debugging.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle is a robust, well-supported community software that makes it easy to engage with people I care about. Their suite of offerings is a perfect fit for engagement and connection without friction.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

While Circle is constantly improving, there are many slow-moving development cycles. Certain features that seem to be obvious and simple are not able to be implemented without considerable work. Their backend architecture is good, but seems like they've had to do work-arounds as needs have developed. This isn't uncommon, just frustrating at times.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle gives a direct connection to followers. This has been extremely important to me (and to clients I have referred) because so much of the traditional algorithms make those connections harder and harder. Having a platform for courses, livestreams, and community chat and posting with easy setup is something that didn't exist a few years ago. It changed the way I approached our business model.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle has transformed our community. We moved from a free platform to Circle in 2025 and we kept all the things we liked about the old platform and ditched everything we hated and GOT SO MUCH MORE! We are able to monetize, prioritize, create new content, search easily, tag posts in a split second ... it's made our community even more special than it was before. Customer support is also great, cannot be beat!

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

Our biggest challenge has been getting folks to adopt a new platform/app/account. Many people have signed up but then do not engage or log back in. That is something we are working on but is just a challenge inherent in moving away from a free platform that folks have used for over a decade.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle has allowed us to create and market different products to clients. The ease of organization and setting up workflows has simplified our lives, allowed us to do more in less time!

  ### 29. Valuable Community Tool, Needs Workflow and Gamification Improvements

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I find Circle to be really useful for getting ambassadors together and onboarding them to run an online community. The social element, especially the events side, is incredibly handy. It's great that it changes depending on the location, which lets us set up events that people can easily understand in their specific part of the world. I also like the different spaces and the way they are laid out. It makes it easy to have personalized groups for different localities within our global community, which is quite valuable.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I don't think the workflow is very user friendly. I don't like the fact that, a lot of the gamification side of things, they're not particularly adept at rewarding points easily either. So, I think the rewarding of points is also quite limited, making a lot of it more of a manual task than it needs to be. Also, the lack of ability to sort of video call within messages isn't ideal either because it'd be really nice to have a sort of meeting feature within Circle, opposed to having to set up an event and give people specific access, which is just more of a hassle than it needs to be. So, we'd have to go off Circle and using, like, Zoom or Google Meet or something where, if that was in built within the app, that would have been much easier. On top of this, the leaderboards - why are you limited to seeing the top 10 members. You should have a more complete gameification offering showing you more in-depth details about the levelling up of community members.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Circle solves problems with lack of functionality by centralizing it in one place. It makes it easy to get ambassadors together, onboard them, and run an online community with personalized groups for different localities and useful event setups.

  ### 30. Streamlines Community Management with Some Flexibility Challenges

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I like how easy it is to create different content sections within Circle. The ability to monitor who is engaging with the content based on my settings is really helpful. It informs us which content is performing best and which type we should focus on more.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

With a recent project, we created sections for each learning module but participants had to join each space to activate the content. I'd prefer that to be automatically turned on. Also, there needs to be more flexibility in stacking content as layers upon layers in the left-hand nav. Currently you can only go 2 layers deep. Going 3 would be great. Going 4 or more would be fantastic. We built and coded ads within our communities but they're not as seamlessly integrated as I would like. Making this a built-in feature would be appreciated. If you're not familiar with these types of platforms, I imagine people would get frustrated with some of the setup process—especially when you get into deeper things like setting up AI agents.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle helps with community management, asset sharing, and community communications. It's easy to create content sections, monitor engagement, and activate community interactions. It guides us on content performance trends, enabling us to focus on what's effective.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I like that you can have multiple channels, upload documents, and get conversations going based on which channel a person is in. With administrative privileges, I can determine which channels a member might belong to and which they don't have access to. I really appreciate that as an administrator, I can go in as any one of the members and see what they see, allowing me to adjust settings accordingly. I also like organizing things into different sections, such as having a learning center and a content creation hub. If something isn't working well, we can change it, and I appreciate that flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I think that it would be nice to be able to have icons and emojis that are kind of customizable. And maybe that does exist, but I'm not sure.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Circle to build a community with all our influencers. It allows me to create multiple channels, organize them, upload docs, initiate separate conversations, and manage access through administrative privileges effectively.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I appreciate that Circle allows me to connect with other business owners and potential clients, and access trainings, which helps with business building. I like how easy it is to navigate and connect with others. I also enjoy that it's still a social channel but separate from social media, with fewer distractions due to the lack of ads, which helps me get more done. Additionally, having it linked to my Google account makes it easy to integrate with my calendar.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

Building the backend can be complicated if you're not used to the system or able to understand the workflows. I also wish there were more ways to keep the channels more active with the members in the groups. I'm not really sure. I just know that sometimes the groups tend to have low activity in them and go the same way as private Facebook groups. I guess it's really just an engagement thing.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle allows me to connect with business owners, potential clients, and access training, while providing a distraction-free social channel off social media.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I host my mentorship membership community and my online programs through Circle. It's clean, easy to use for myself and my clients, and it has an app, which is very important for my students to be able to access their modules when they're out with their horses. It makes the modules and the content the focus instead of clunky or ugly interfaces. My clients are more likely to engage in the community spaces because they find the platform easy to use. The initial setup was super easy. I have recommended it to many friends, colleagues, and clients.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I wish the website design tools were more advanced so I could switch my website over as well. More flexibility in the design. The ability to drag and drop anything anywhere so I can be more creative. Right now it feels very rigid.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle provides a place to host my educational programs, community spaces, and events calendar. It's clean and easy to use, which helps clients engage more. The app allows students to access content anywhere, making my programs more accessible.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I really like how easy Circle was to implement and continue using. It's super simple to give other team members access internally and adding new partners or customers to the community is really easy, making it simple to see who's active and engaging with the community. The user friendliness of Circle is awesome, and when we were initially implementing, the team was really great to work with. Both ease of implementation and user friendliness are crucial, and having both makes Circle a much stickier product for us internally. It also makes it easier for our partners and customers to use, especially since they're not typically the most tech-savvy. This leads to better engagement and a more connected community, producing an all-around better experience.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I think the only thing is scrolling through our main pages. It can be a little bland because it's just a lot of white and gray. So it's a little lackluster in the customization on the home pages, but that might also be an us problem.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle connects our partners, facilitates trainings, and updates efficiently, overcoming connectivity issues. It also simplifies customer interactions, enhancing community engagement and connectivity.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I think Circle is the best online platform right now because of its ease of use, the ease of building, and the white labeling capabilities. I also really like that Circle is always updating and innovating and listening to our feedback when we think something is missing. I think that really puts Circle above the rest.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I think that having additional features like extra options for gamification instead of needing to do patches, workflows, webhooks, and that kind of thing. I think the more that you're able to make it an intuitive and fully customizable platform, that allows for things like that, the better. Because that's what I feel like I run into a lot all of the communities that I help and build and manage is that we have a wish that there was greater customization and also the ability on our end to have different admin levels and the ability for admins to adjust emails for members. Merging accounts when someone wants to use an account with an existing email would also be helpful as right now you have to entirely delete someone's account and have them start over, it's not great for user experience.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle helps generate income and create deeper connections, boosting sales and upgrade potential with events and announcements.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I run a paid community on Circle and it solves almost every problem other platforms have, offering the best of everything in terms of features, much better than Slack or Discord. I really like Circle's analytics dashboard as it gives me all the data I need to stay informed about my community. I can see when users are most active, identify popular content, and find out which spaces work, allowing me to make data-driven decisions about rewarding users or updating spaces. Circle makes onboarding simple and efficient for new members, streamlining the entire process. The event management in Circle is excellent, with features like dedicated event spaces, RSVP, reminders, and a calendar, significantly boosting the success of events. Additionally, setting up Circle was easy with a free 14-day trial, and the support is great, I received awesome support and quick resolutions from their team.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

The app experience on mobile needs improving, especially on Android. Sometimes reactions don't register, or the chat box can't be clicked as it's overlapped or not showing. It's not ideal to have to close and reopen the app to fix issues, which isn't great as it can cause friction and potential churn among community members. But things seem to be improving with fewer complaints from members recently and likely by the time someone reads this review it would have been fixed. Also, if I was being cheeky, I would like to see some of the business plan features included in the professional membership for smaller communities that don't hit the threshold for needing the business plan yet. The workflows for example, for smaller communities just starting out, it would be great if we were given access to this to help us with activation, onboarding, and user engagement because my ultimate goal is to outgrow the professional plan and switch to the business one but right now the numbers aren't quite there yet.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle solves platform issues by providing effective features. Its analytics remove guesswork, enhancing decisions. Onboarding, event management, and a user-friendly dashboard boost engagement, ensuring successful community management. Circle takes care of everything leaving me to focus on growing and running my community. For the first 3 months I used the data combined with member feedback to make some significant positive changes to improve the member experience and Circle made it easy to do with just a few clicks.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I love being able to keep our community and courses all in one place. It’s helped us streamline and simplify everything across our community and school, which has improved both time management and overall efficiency for our team. We’ve also received very positive feedback from our students, especially around how easy the platform is to use and how well everything is organized.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

We’d love for our team admins to be able to complete course lessons on behalf of a student, especially for our legacy students who transferred from our old course platform to Circle courses. We’d also appreciate it if the affiliate program features were a more intentional area of focus for improvement.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us a safe, private space outside of social media where we can host free events for our entire community, run paid programs and courses, and still keep everything in one calendar so everyone stays informed and organized.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I launched an online church using the Circle platform. It's so easy to use and build out. The ease of use is incredible, and I figured it out quickly despite being self-taught and not a pro. I thought about integrating with Zoom, but the feature within Circle is great and eliminates the need for Zoom. Circle is head and shoulders above Skool. The platform fosters community engagement within our church, allowing members to contribute and consume, serving and ministering to others and 'being the church' rather than just 'watching the church'.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

The limit on spaces. I pay $129 per month to upgrade, and it's a substantial increase in cost for me. The only benefit I desire from the upgrade is the number of spaces I am able to create. The limited number of spaces does limit all that we would like to accomplish within our Circle.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle creates a church community, allowing engagement and contribution instead of just content consumption. It's easy to use and build out.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I like that Circle is super customizable. I can make it look and feel like us. It's great that it includes a meeting/webinar tool built in. We haven't taken full advantage of this yet but will soon be migrating our customer training webinars from Zoom to Circle so that our Community becomes a truly one-stop shop for training. Circle provides us a good balance of the tools we need and the ease of use for customers. The initial setup was very easy, and we had good help from our Circle rep.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

While I like the current flexibility to build spaces, I feel like sometimes customizing the spaces themselves can be a little rigid. For example, I can't add space links to a photo page. That seems silly to me. I feel like I should be able to build a fully customized space and add whatever elements I want to it. I'd love more of a space builder page where I could add, place, and move things around. I could add panels from a menu of options. I could basically see exactly what the page would look like before I approve and publish it.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle offers our customers a place to connect globally about best practices. It provides tools we need and ease of use that Facebook and Slack lacked.

  ### 40. Great Community Platform, But Slow Performance

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I use Circle to host a community and my content for my membership and my course. I really appreciate Circle's beautiful and easy-to-use layout and format, which makes it easy for my members and students to navigate. It's also easy for me and my team to leave comments or feedback, which is great when people have questions or want to share. Circle facilitates community and connections nicely with easy-to-use formats and features. I love that you can use text, video, and images; it's graphically appealing and easy to navigate. The flexibility for students to share their work in a video, image, or text, without feeling forced to participate in an uncomfortable way, helps build connection and trust.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

My biggest struggle with Circle is that it loads so slowly. And I've not been able to resolve this issue, over a long period of time with Circle. And so for me as a user, then that makes it really challenging to participate in my community.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Circle to host a community and share content easily. Its layout is beautiful and easy to use, helping my members and students navigate well. Circle facilitates community engagement with its easy formats and features, making interaction comfortable.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

What I like best about Circle Community is how easy it is to use while still offering powerful tools to build engagement. The platform makes it simple to organize discussions, events, and content in one clean space, which creates a better experience for both admins and members.

I also appreciate how focused Circle is on customer success—the platform feels built around helping communities grow, with strong support resources and thoughtful features that encourage interaction and connection.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

What I dislike about Circle is that some advanced features and deeper customization options can feel limited unless you move to higher-tier plans, which may be challenging for smaller communities or growing teams. I’d also like to see more robust analytics and automation flexibility to make it even easier to scale engagement and track member behavior over time.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle solves the challenge of keeping a community engaged and organized in one central place instead of relying on scattered tools like email, social media groups, and separate event platforms. It brings discussions, content, events, and member interaction together in a clean and easy-to-manage environment.

For me, that creates a better member experience, saves time on administration, and makes it easier to build stronger relationships and ongoing engagement within the community.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I love the easy build for products, the app it allows us to have, the engagement of our community has increased because of the clear simple UX.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I find it absolutely SHOCKING how poor the admin interface is. Workflows cannot be searched or filtered. It's outrageous. It forces us to minimize how much we build out in the back end. We are a high volume business and I think it's ridiculous there's no if/then logic in the workflows and then on top of that there's no folders or search for the workflows. Same with tags... I literally am speechless that this is not a core function and that after all this time you haven't added it in.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobile App & platform can be managed by admins rather than needing to keep in house tech on staff.

  ### 43. A Powerful Tool for Organized, Engaged Communities (Life Clubs)

**What do you like best about Circle?**

What I like best about Circle is how customizable it is - it's easy to create dedicated spaces for different topics, and it keeps my community engaged with structured discussions and events. The user interface is clean, and the organization tools are top-notch.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

One thing I don’t like as much is that its mobile experience isn’t as smooth as the desktop version - it can feel a bit clunky on smaller screens. I’m hopeful they continue to improve mobile usability because the desktop features are really strong.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle is solving the problem of keeping my community organized and engaged in one place. Before, it was hard to keep track of different conversations and events, but now everything is centralized, easy to navigate, and it saves me time while helping members feel more connected and informed.

  ### 44. Amazing Community Platform with a Powerful Website Builder and Helpful Support

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I like almost all of the features of Circle, especially the website builder and the community itself. Every time I run into a problem, it’s been very easy to reach out to their support group. For example, I once had an issue integrating my brand font, so I raised it with Circle support, and within a matter of months the website builder already had an option that let me choose my font. Overall, using Circle as a community manager has been amazing.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I’ve been using Circle for about six months now, and thankfully I haven’t run into anything disappointing so far. I’m genuinely grateful that I found this tool.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Community building! I’ve tried different tools across the internet, and Circle has helped me bring my community together in a secure, more intimate way. I especially love how it supported me in building a community that brings groups of moms together globally.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I love that we can use it as a platform for community engagement, but we can also use it house our training videos, coaching calls, and even create workflows to remind our community members about events or even just to come back and login.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I think the only downside we have come across is that it is harder to get clients to login and engage when we moved from a Facebook group because it isn't an app that someone just sits down and scrolls anyway, they have to intentionally sit down and login.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a number of issues with our Facebook group, everything was disorganized and clients kept messaging one another and it led to cliques and other issues. Circle helps us keep things more community friendly, better organized, and we don't have to use several different platforms.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I really appreciate how Circle is super clean and easy to use, which makes it perfect for building a real community. I like how everything lives in one place, making it much easier to organize resources and for members to find what they need. The interaction aspect is great—it's not just content; people actually engage and learn from each other. I think the ease of finding everything and the clean organization are big pluses.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I think it could improve its integrations with other tools like Slack or similar platforms, to make workflows more seamless and keep everything more connected.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle helps us keep all our community resources in one place, making it easy to manage content and for members to access it. It also creates a space where people can interact and learn from each other, which adds a lot of value.

  ### 47. It feels flexible—there’s always a way to find a solution that fits me.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

It feels flexible—there’s always a way to shape it to fit me. I work intuitively without a fixed product plan, and Circle still supports that. I love having everything in one place to engage with my people, without needing live calls. People can move at their own pace—self-study or join conversations. It gives me space to grow and adapt as my work evolves.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

I miss a clear big-picture overview of how everything fits together. Learning through fragmented videos didn’t work well for me. It took me time to understand that I needed an external website as a funnel and for payments—which seems common, but wasn’t obvious at first. Also, since Circle is closed, it’s not discoverable through search, so you need to clearly guide people why to join. I figured it out over time, but it slowed me down.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me one central space where everything is in one place. Instead of using multiple tools, I can bring content, conversations, and engagement together. This simplifies how I work and supports my need for an all-in-one, flexible environment.

  ### 48. Flexible, Customizable Hub That Keeps Our Community in One Place

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle is a highly flexible, customizable platform. It’s been incredibly useful for our large community to have essentially everything in one place for community management—events, content, DMs, and gamification.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

At times, we’ve had some growing pains with Circle. Given our need for customizations and, eventually, linking the data to our backend at a larger scale, the API calls felt a bit limited. Embedding was also sometimes challenging, and it could be difficult to embed Circle within our existing ecosystem. Even so, Circle has been quite accommodating and has helped us work through these issues.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing a really large community of people all over the world—on different devices, with different needs and interests—means creating a space where they can come together, engage with each other, and have access to events and to one another, and so on.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

Circle makes it easy to build a genuine community in one simple, organized space. I love having posts, discussions, events, and members all together without distractions or algorithms. It feels intuitive, calm, and supportive, more like a gathering space than a social platform.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

As a creator, the initial learning curve around setup, navigation, and content organization can take time, especially when building a thoughtful member experience. It wasn't quite what I needed for my courses and have moved to Thrive Cart for most of those. Also, would love more than video in this area including easy PDF embedding and audio and not just video.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle helps me create a dedicated, distraction-free home for my community. It replaces noisy social platforms with a focused space where real connection can happen, which benefits me by deepening engagement and making community building feel sustainable rather than draining.

**What do you like best about Circle?**

I like that Circle offers a pretty easy interface. Even though I'm an IT professional, I believe any layman could set it up and find it easy to navigate and use once in production. I also appreciate how the paywalls attached to access groups work nicely.

**What do you dislike about Circle?**

The fields that we are able to add are just dead text. We need to be able to add URLs that go somewhere. Phone numbers should be clickable so that smart devices can call those numbers, and email fields should pop up emails to the listed addresses. Circle is all about community and communications, so maybe a vCard-type link or QR code for each member would be good. The QR could include fields that the admins choose.

**What problems is Circle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Circle provides a dependable communication framework, avoiding spam issues that affect mass emails and groups.
