# Which failed payment recovery platforms integrate with Stripe and use AI-driven retry logic?

I'm researching which failed payment recovery platforms actually integrate with Stripe specifically and use smarter, AI-driven retry logic rather than a fixed retry schedule. Inside Failed Payment Recovery, Baremetrics, Churnkey, and Butter stand out for this combination.

Baremetrics: built with deep Stripe integration from the start, giving teams recovery insight directly tied to their existing Stripe billing data.

Churnkey: uses smarter retry timing based on payment failure patterns rather than a one-size-fits-all schedule, aimed at squeezing more recoveries out of the same failed charges.

Butter: connects directly with Stripe and uses adaptive retry logic to time payment attempts around when a card is more likely to succeed.

Recurly: offers Stripe compatible billing with configurable retry logic that can be tuned based on failure reason.

sticky.io: supports Stripe-based payment flows with retry logic built for subscription and recurring billing scenarios.

For teams running Stripe alongside one of these recovery tools, did the AI-driven retry timing actually outperform a simple fixed schedule by a meaningful margin, or was the difference smaller than expected?

Based on what tends to get reported in this space, the gap seems real but modest, adaptive timing usually recovers a noticeably higher share than a fixed schedule, but it's more a matter of a few extra percentage points than a dramatic difference, since a lot of the easy recoveries would happen on either approach anyway. Where adaptive timing seems to earn its keep most is on the harder cases near the margin, retries that happen to land right after a card gets funded or reissued, which a fixed schedule would mostly miss by chance rather than design.
