Himash was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions throughout the integration process and running through a variety of mock scenarios. **What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?** I vastly underestimated how long it would take to integrate with cin 7, it's 3 hrs over the course of a few weeks and can be frustrating at times. **What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've had difficulty understanding true costs of our product and what actual margins are of our product per order, which is incredibly important in a low-margin business. She was very knowlegeable and well organized giving me more confidence after the last session to be able to go onto the tool itself to start building out the project for our business. All meetings were recorded which helped me look back to rewatch to get more guidence and clarity. Also the Cin7 Academy website video tutorials were helpful too visualizing how to use the tool by having a sample company. **What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?** Not much right now as I'm setting things up but I do feel a bit reluctant on putting in the autheticator code each time I login. **What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are currently managing all the production in the level of an excel sheet. I tried organizing in the best way I can but there are limits when embedding some functions inside the spreadsheet. Also we are foreseeing having more expansion in warehousing which I won't be able to keep up all data in a organized way. That is where our boss decided to implement Cin7 and after getting the sessions, I feel much more releaved that some of these inventory counts and managements can be inputted into a tool and be able to extract data or reports that are necessary when asked by executives. ### 5. BUT a package this big which covers financials as well and inventory, CRM and more has a lot of dials and meters to play with and while one person can be an good in one area, no one here is an expert in all. Recently as we started to roll out multicurrency options to EU customers from the UK, our inexperience required the help of Cin7 support. Muditha to the rescue! While I didn't get the answer I needed on their first detailed response, a quick screen recording helped explain what I couldn't and I got back the answer I needed, all with a short time frame so we could keep up our momentum. Previous help on custominsing invoice templates has also been quick. We've been using this now for 6 years! :) **What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?** Limitations on users within our package means Team leaders can't grant basic 'view only' access to orders on the system. Additional users and extensions can add up to quite a lot, but it's what you do with them that matters. Internationally, I've found it's also not as well recognised as other systems for native 3PL warehouse integration, but a good coder or use of of an intermediary platform to link different systems should solve it. I'm sure this will only change for the better over time. :) **What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's our hub for inventory, purchasing and sales order management. Allowing Admins and Team Leaders to work collectively and simoultaneously. In our weekly meetings we can see at a glance what orders are in, what stage they're at and how long they've been in. Reports generated from Cin7 Core are also exported and used elsewhere for deeper data analysis. The price tiers and customs pricing was a vital thing for us at the start with so many markets and tiers to worth with around the globe. Bundling, kitting and grand-parent/parent/child product relationships are increasingly important. Cin7 Core has definately helped us forecast stock better and monitor where it is and how much is required in all our loctations. ### 7. Furthermore, it has considerable connectivity to other apps enhancing its ability to meet business' particular workflows. This particular instance is the Support we have received from Cin7 and the responsivesness and expertise of the agent at Cin7, Abi. Abi's knowledge and expertise and constant attention and feedback were essential in resolving this issue. We had several online calls and carried out 'live' tests to understand the issue and find a solution - we did find a solution and not just a 'work around' Well done to Abi. **What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?** Cin7 is a complex and feature-rich software which can be quite overwhelming for some clients. Establishing the configurations and settings in Core that meet a business' workflows requirements can be time consuming and labourious and requires testing and retesting. I would recommmend enhancing the search and filter capabilities (the custom filters) for all the summary screens: - Purchases - Inventory - Production (Assemblies and Production orders) - Stock Adjustments - Stock Transfers Improve the CSV downloads so that only the data that is selected in the filters is exported to a CSV file. **What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cin7 Core is a multifunctional software that meets the requirements of our clients - its sector agnostic and is suitable for various types of businesses, e.g .online retailers, wholesalers and B2B business, D2C manufacturers. But it's true strenght is that it can be configured for 'hybrid' business, e.g. with multi-sales channels, multiple fulfillment sites, selling to B2C, B2B and D2C. Plus recent development around adding inventory forecasting are vital to take businesses to the next level. ### 8. We are in the process of going Live and we were able to do it right after our session ended. I like how easy to use and intuitive Cin7 is. We worked with Dinush, who was incredibly helpful, responsive, easy to work with, and also so patient with our team. Internally, we help up implementation due to items not being ready. Dinush was very patient as we completed our steps, assisted us with uploading on our behalf, and kept us on track. **What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?** I didn't realize that there was different modules that were not included. The manufacturing module for our production kitchen is an interesting add-on that we didn't realize was separate. Prior to Cin7, our brand utilized a B2B store solution (JOOR, akin to Elastic Suite) which provided us with the base necessities for B2B operations, but left us with no ERP solution. Cin7 is the only solution that can provide both the B2B and internal backend operations that we have always needed. It is also super cost effective. The support staff (especially Irfan) has been super helpful and responsive as we look for more intricate solutions. **What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?** As with many ERPs, Cin7 suffers in the setup process is subpar. While there is a more cost-effective group oriented onboarding solution, it does not get you anywhere near the functionally operating backend that you'll need. It costs more, but the 1 on 1 setup will certainly be worth the investment and will save you months of setup time. **What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cin7 has brought all of our backend operations under one umbrella. Previously we worked with a B2B store provider, a WMS, Shopify, and a million spreadsheets. This is now handled in one place. While we still require the WMS and shopify, the spreadsheets and B2B have been entirely replaced by cin7. ### 11. It is not easy to correct a mistake without either having to make an inventory adjustment. Would prefer an undo option that won't erase the quantity that was previously entered especially for Completed Assembilies. Additionally, when adding or deleting a new lot or SKU in the "Pick" tab of the assembly, the page shifts upward, causing users to lose track of the lot and increasing the risk of entering incorrect quantities. **What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Cin7, our inventory was managed over spreadsheets. Our onsultant Shuaib Khan is very knowledgable about the Cin 7 Core, he is very kind, patient and always gives advice, along with assisting any queries we have. - The detailed sync report with errors and reference to invoices/ purhases/ stock items. - Many attachments can be included on an invoice order -> which also sync to Xero. - Payments from Xero can link to actual invoices which our previous sytem could not* **What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?** - It is really disapointing that Cin7 Core allows invoicing to customers on 0 available stock items/ items we've back ordered but not yet receieved in system * They only figure this out in the "pick" part of invoicing = which means the COGS journals are not correct * * The sales and procurement guys are not knowledgable about this and leave a huge mess/ back and forth for the accountant to figure out and correct * - The stock and SKU's sync to Xero - need to be untracked in Xero and when an items is renamed to archive - and Cin 7 syncs- it changes the rename back but the items stays archived - but the invoices/ purchases cannot sync to Xero due to the stock errors * We still working through with our consultant but has already helped us with so many queries - I am sure soon all will be resolved :-) **What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeps track of our purchases and stock - for invoicing - but this is still something Cin7 Core needs to amend on their end - it allows customer invoicing -> when there are no / 0.00 stock items available - which is only picked up on "pick" part of invoice* ### 13. The sessions were fine, but were not necessary. The communication for specific quetions, however, was lacking. By the time there was a response to specific questions, we had troubleshooted and resolved on our own. Right now, I manually count/record in our spreadsheets. I am happy to have a platform that automates that for us. I really appreciate the support of our advisor, Zoey, and the academy option. It is also helpful to hear that we can submit a ticket and should get assistance. So far, I think it has been a good transition period of moving from our old manual method of inventory tracking and instead implementing the cin7 platform. There has been a lot of information covered in the last month, so I have a lot to digest and apply within our company. I will say I feel much more prepared today than I did at the beginning and even during our training sessions. **What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?** I am just getting starated with Cin7 and have mainly seen the features throughout the training as I begin to further explore, but from what we have seen so far - I would say the small things like making a stock adjustment and we do not see it reflected on our product right away (we tried multiple times). Edit after using Cin7 for ~ 1 month - we have had major difficulties moving forward with Cin7. The Shopify integration basically does not work. Orders are missed, inventory is not updated, and no notifications or error messages are provided. We have had major business impacts due to this issues. The Cin7 support team is now basically non-responsive, and any attempts to plead with our Account Executive in the US for any sort of help have been turned into opportunities to try to upsell us on their "onboarding" plans.
