Chameleon Creator has such a fresh, modern look that really stands out from tools like Articulate Storyline or Rise. Courses look great on any device, and it’s incredibly easy to apply branding colours to make everything feel consistent and professional.

The interface is very intuitive, so you can get started quickly—even if you’re new to eLearning authoring. I particularly love the text input/reflection tool, which isn’t available in most other platforms, and the library of customisable backgrounds and illustrations. As far as I know, there’s currently no search function, which would make navigation and editing easier. I’d also love to see more slide styles or even the ability to move elements freely on the page—perhaps a drag-and-drop feature for more design flexibility.

It would also be helpful to have a way to export or extract content (for example, exporting to PDF), and to allow uploads of file types beyond PDF, such as Word or PowerPoint, for learners to download directly from the course. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This software has been a game-changer for our team. It is intuitive and packed with features that make content creation seamless. The analytics tool is a great addition, it makes it easy to spot where users have dropped off, so we can follow up and improve specific sections for a better experience. The URL feature is perfect for lighter-touch modules that don’t need formal tracking through our LMS, saving time and making deployment much more flexible.

Chameleon Creator is one of the easiest authoring tools to create e-learning. It is a great time-saver and can also be used to create guides, not just elearning. It has great interactions, cool visuals with images that are ready to use and can be customised into the company brand colours. It can create engaging interactions for the user like hot spots, different quiz interactions, sliders, etc. Modules can be customised with branding colours and logos, and there are also customisable templates. It has a modern and clean feel to it (animations, buttons and transitions).

It has the ability to It has the ability for SMEs to create or review modules. Chameleon has a LMS function to host materials. It can version control the modules and also has the ability to track engagement and provide analytics on the quiz completions, etc. They are very supportive and open to user feedback. Chameleon creator does not allow you to remove library assets in one go. If you duplicate a module and want to to remove the assets from the previous module, it needs to be done one at a time (very time consuming). When there are a lot of images, videos or documents in the module, it takes a long time to load the module when pre-loading and lags when loading the slide/page. The product license per user is more expensive than the average authoring tools available on the market. Branching can be quite chunky and hard to use, and the matching cards interaction can only be done in a the quiz interaction - one to one option, not many cards to one option. Honestly, there’s not much to dislike. If I had to pick something, I’d say occasional limitations in customisation, just like every authoring tool but even then, the team is always keen to hear suggestions and often adds new features based on user feedback. One of the standout features is how intuitive the platform is. Our team was up and running in no time, with minimal training required. It has also our drastically improved our ability to co-design content with subject matter experts, who do not have a tech background and are time poor.

The best thing about Chameleon Creator, in my opinion, is the fresh, adaptable, and engaging learner experience that we can create in a short space of time and without the need for L&D specialists. Many of our licenses are held by SMEs across the different functions of the business and with a little training on how to use the system, which is pretty intuitive, we can get a lot more content created in a shorter period of time. As the L&D Specialist all I have to do is guide the SMEs and review the final content before uploading it to our LMS.

I also love the Chameleon team as they are knowledgeable, quick to respond, open to feedback and continuously looking to find ways to improve their product. Customer support was a big factor in choosing our authoring tool and the other tool just didn't even come close.

As I've moved jobs and companies over the years, I have always tried to take Chameleon with me and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a learning solution for their business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only downside to Chameleon Creator, that I've come across in the approx. 5 yrs I've been using it, is I can't instantly take the content from another authoring tool and make it a new and improved Chameleon module with a few clicks. But it is worth the time and effort to refresh old content and make it less plain and predictable and turn it into something that our frontline learners relate to and engage in. The interactions are flexible (I love the text variable), helping reduce the cognitive load for learners and giving you freedom to use different approaches in your design. The most helpful thing i find with Chameleon creator is the support that is available.

There is an extensive video library, with tutorials and explanations on how to use the features. The content and customer support personnel are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
