Cause IQ brings together a massive amount of public nonprofit data into one place, making it incredibly efficient to research and qualify organizations. I especially appreciate the ability to sync data directly to Salesforce, which saves my team time and ensures we’re working with up-to-date info. The platform is rich with detail—990s, key contacts, financials, and more. It’s a go-to resource in our workflow.

While the data itself is excellent, the Salesforce integration could be more robust. I’d love to see a more seamless, automated sync that reduces the need for manual exports or list uploads. Being able to define custom sync rules and have nonprofit records automatically update or push into Salesforce would take the tool to the next level. I love Cause IQ because it is easy to navigate, gets me important data quickly and the depth of data is tremendous. Love the canned Excel export reports w funder giving history. I spend less time searching and more time finding the nuggets I need. The options for searching are many and complete. I have used all the other major foundation search tools, and I like Cause IQ the best. Frankly, I advised a client to leave another service for CIQ, because the value is greater with CIQ. The level of detail on non-profits is extremely impressive, everything from 990 forms to contact names/numbers. There are a lot of filters to use when searching, and unique queries are possible. It would be helpful to have a feature where you can build your own filters. The csv list upload feature is neat, but I had trouble matching organizations on my list even after a running a likely match search several times. Cause IQ has been an instrumental tool in our research of nonprofit companies. We target mid to large companies for our services, and they must be a 501(c) 3 in order to use our services. Cause has a tremendous database and allows you to find their information quickly. It provides direct links to websites, contact for key leadership, and copies of their 990 forms. There isn't much that I don't like about Cause IQ. The only complaint I have is that you can not download a list of contact companies from the website to an Excel spreadsheet without paying a much higher subscription.
